thanks so much for the extensive guide! @@beardigo-wowferalgrobbulus663 have you messed around with trinket toggling in ToGC yet? I noticed last night that the RP is always long enough on the first pull to toggle pre-pull. Jaraxxus seems like it would benefit the most from it, you could toggle Runestone 25 sec before combat starts so it procs when the first portal is gonna spawn (20 sec into the fight), and Berserk + Swipe with Runestone up. Only thing that kinda sucks is you'd have to get your first Rip on Jaraxxus within the first 2-3 seconds of the fight to be able to get your 2nd Rip on him before the portal spawns so you don't lose any Swipe uptime (or potentially clip your first Rip to prevent lost Rip uptime)
@@tableslam Most fights in there you can easily trinket time yeah, since the RP is so long. Generally I'd prefer my trinkets to pop right after I hit berserk (when I'm about to spam shred), delaying them that much for some brief 3 target swiping feels like it might not be worth it. Next week I'm going to hold berserk until the 2nd add wave (the volcano and infernals) and try to swipe 5+ targets at once. True degeneracy.
there is a time to kill estimate weakaura somewhere that uses current combat time in combination with current boss % HP to estimate how many seconds of a fight are left for more accurate end of fight berserk, pot, and rip/bite/roar timings btw

Dude - what a godsend Guide. I just returned to feral after beeing boomie in Ulduar. Love the new Feral but Parsing was awful despite bein top 1-3 in Guild DPS. This helps me understand why. TYVM - you da reel MVP
Another thing to note about Anub parses and adds - the damage to them you're able to do can drastically change based on a single add tank strat vs two tanks and being able to cleave longer vs insta kill them in 10seconds. It's really punishing for any guild that's solo tanking adds as you'll pretty much not be able to have a great parse when the entire raid is hard aoe'ing the adds vs more drawn out passive cleave.
@@beardigo-wowferalgrobbulus663 yeah which is also problematic for parses at the base level. Any fight with cleave or adds can be cheesed or abused for parses and it becomes very degenerate. Hey! I know its a late message to this video but why is it that rather often during berserk you skip rake? Isn't it higher prio than shred overall and berserk doesn't change that? For example Icehowl stun phase. Thanks! 8)
Specifically for icehowl it's because not all of those rake ticks will go off before his increased damage taken phase ends but all the damage of a shred will - I think I had the set bonus by this point in time that extends it to 12 sec, honestly unsure. But you are right in general rake is higher prio than shred! Zerk has no impact on that either way
What is that yellow Undead buff at Anub? Got it already called Scourgebane Draught (30atp buff again Undead) it's a repeatable Quest in the Bloodelf starting Zone Rotting Hearts
sadly most of my runs are in the “must do mechanics & strat correctly” skill/gear level so targetting and cooldowns cannot be maximized to pad personal dps and parses or we risk a wipe. once my groups are there tho, wonderful guide to improve my parse, at least the once :D
One note of caution on Icehowl is that there is a brief delay after he hits the wall before he is considered stunned, so if you're too quick charging in you will get trampled and potentially wipe the raid! That, or my timing is simply dog. Learned this the hard way costing us a 272 cloak✌
Yep, he doesn't gain the stunned debuff for a second or so after hitting the wall and if you charge him too early it counts as him hitting you. Very strange. Watch for the debuff to appear, then you know it's safe
No. It's never worth clipping rip for a trinket buff, occasionally it is for a boss buff if it's big enough (think rune of power from Iron Council). Also, runestone is an armor pen buff, bleeds aren't affected 👍
I usually zerk for worms(because they are nasty), get it back for icehowl anyway. With the newfound rip trick/bug, Im going to use that to quickly get rip quickly on both. Someone have to do some math / testing on multirip with extra extentions, on how to utilize it the best
That would be ideal but unfortunately there isn't time for that in our runs. Worms come out around 1:30 into the fight, icehowl gets his first staggered daze (increase damage debuff) at 3:55-ish. He does get a second one as your saw but absolutely not worth zerking on the second one, he dies immediately after hitting the wall.
Just to clarify one thing you pointed out on ice howl. If you don't have roar up when you bleed they dont get increased damage? so if you roar after a rip/rake they dont get the 30% boost? Thanks for this video, as a new feral its hard to find tips/tricks like this.
Yes, you need to have roar before you cast rip or it'll do 30% less damage (33% with glpyh). Rip snapshots your own buffs at the time of casting, it's crucial to have roar before you cast rip
I have heard that! I tried it this week and it felt pretty doable, it seems there's quite a big range where you can hit him without getting knocked back. Unfortunately I did less well on the other bosses so didn't get a new PB but it's a good strat for sure
It would be great if you got NugKeyFeedback so we can see what abilities you're spamming. Super minimal addon and you can put it off to the side of the screen or in the corner. Just a thought!
Correct me if I am wrong, but if a guild is progressing now/future is it wise to pre-combat HoT raid members? Regrowth is 21 seconds, can also have a haste set to cast it faster and it might snapshot with stuff?
Damn that rip/shred interaction is interesting. So does rip timer only go up then on the target you are shredding? So you ripped acidmaw then used your 3 shreds on dreadscale. Does rip only extend on dreadscale in that scenario or both?
Yes it does! Rake becomes more important to keep up if you have any of the T9 or later tier bonuses that affect it. With those set bonuses you want to keep it up regardless of trinket procs. The only thing that doesn't change is your omen of clarity shred prio, because that's more about saving 42 energy vs saving 35, not about the damage of the actual abilities.
@@beardigo-wowferalgrobbulus663 I assume that is because, even during the runestone proc, the extra tick of rake increases its overall damage therefore actually making it worth it?
@@Phocieda Yes, the damage-per-energy of abilities is pretty much all that matters and shred only barely overtakes rake during runestone (and dark matter) procs before t9 bonus. With the rake set bonus, rake's damage per energy is much better than shreds at all times 👍
@@Phocieda It's always been fine during zerk, zerk doesn't change our cast priority except for bite (because the energy conversion stays the same while everything else gets 50% cheaper) :D the reason people didn't rake always previously was based on trinket procs that buffed shred but not rake. With Tier 9 and beyond, rake is much more important
Thought to myself 'hey, they're limiting damage to adds - that's great.'; then I went on my warlock and padded an absurd amount on my lock and still wasn't anywhere close to 900k
Yeah they're discussing lowering the cap drastically, to around 300k-400k. Some top ferals are basically just swiping anub and are reaching the 900k cap already. Swipe strong
@@beardigo-wowferalgrobbulus663 In addition, having the adds not count in phase 3 is pretty cruel given that you'll usually be aoeing down the last set as phase 3 begins, should cut off damage to the adds 20 seconds into phase 3 or so
