First: Great Video. Thanks alot for all the information. One question though (came back to Classic after a longish pause): How does Feral handle multi target situations? When you reach 24 on the tracker and your other roar conditions are met (as in, roar ending before rip ends or within 4 sec after rip ends) 👍it's pretty much when you'd think to roar anyway, it's when rip has around 9-10 sec left, giving you ample time to build back to 5 points

I’ve run 3/5 but might bump to 4/5. I think the gcd would make you go from 80-90 energy before even spending a cooldown, and you’re at that point practically full. 3/5 after that gcd and being at 70 energy to spend has felt a bit rough tbh.
Thank you Bear!! Do you swap your idols any in these later phases? Thinking the phase 3 one to the Rip one when preparing to set up Rip after it falls off.
You're the Goat, mate. Thanks a lot - I have one question in terms of Tiger's Fury usage. I find myself having the proper desink on Roar/Rip, and sitting at, say, 15 energy. I then pool for Bite, but preferably I bite at 35 energy tops - as you touched upon, the DPE is underwhelming on Bite - so I don't want to Tiger's Fury before that. That means I end up losing 2, sometimes 3 sec if I get an omen proc, on Tiger's Fury usage. What would you recommend? And secondly, do you use any WA/addon to block FFF, when you get an organic Omen proc? I, unwillingly, end up Biting or Raking with organic procs, and by far the worst of them all, I FFF the nanosecond I get an organic proc - losing the 42 free energy proc and losing a global, which is enough to make a grown man cry
While i agree with not marcoing everything together, there should be one macro that DOES. Control is absolutely great but there will be times when you want to use them all anyways and a one button macro saves a TON of time when you are in that situation. The example for me is pretty much just the opener where you would tf/zerk/pot/gloves. Hitting that many buttons slows you down when you can have that one macro. Also as far as I am aware, you should always open with rake AFTER roar since it will not retroactively buff it. The selfish open would be omenshred roar rake mangle. Otherwise you want mangle roar rake for maximum dps. Should also note that the feral sim currently opens with mangle speed pot gloves roar FF shred and doesnt rake until late, seems wrong to me
I’m still a bit confused on the concept of offsetting roar and rip, how exactly do we go about doing this? Do we refresh roar mega early in order to get this offset, and then simply maintain the offset throughout the pull?
Yes, essentially. If roar ends before rip does then refresh your roar when rip has 8-10 sec left to keep the desync going. If it ends after rip, then wait til it falls and refresh it then!
1:44 prepot on Beasts? It's only 3 seconds of potion - is it worth it? You're Berserking on pull anyway so the potion doesn't work almost the whole time of Berserking. 9:00 might want to add that Savage Roar doesn't use up OoC proc. 34:30 /\ My sequence would be: Gift for proc ~10sec before start of the fight Prepot if possible - on Beasts I have pot+berserk macro right before fight Mangle Roar Shred until Rip Rake Keep shredding till ~40 energy then FF DON'T BITE DURING BERSERKING (Berserking goes off) FF off CD (if OoC not procd; usually on 0-ish energy) Tiger's Fury similarly off CD usually on 0-ish energy (got it macro'd with Bombs, Thermal prio ofc) Spam Shred Keep Rip @ 5combo ofc Savage Roar on any combo points if down Mangle/Rake when goes down Bite on 5combo when Rip is at least 8s (with 4set and ~70% crit chance you're most likely getting OoC proc on Bite) Beasts: Gift, prepot, Berserking. Stay a bit further on pull - Impaler likes to punch melees at pull. On Beasts you want to Swipe on OoC proc to cleave Kobolds. Use Gift of the Wild / Innervate in between Beasts and on worm's burrow. (Remember to stay close to worms, the melee range on them is screwed) Try to get to the worms on foot (Feral Charge is 10 energy). Stay max range on Icehowl + use 2nd Berserking after it stuns itself. Jaraxxus: Gift, prepot, Berserking. Make sure you know who's tanking and which way so you can Shred super fast. (use Weakauras for the fire DoT so you don't die standing in the fire) Feral Charge to teleport/volcano (ideally with Faerie Fire midair). Don't Rip teleport/volcano - Bite/Roar if you really have to use combo points. Swipe on OoC proc when maiden on (in good group there's 1 or none maiden spawn). Don't Swipe on golems - focus Jaraxxus. (Use Survi Instincts + Barkskin on AoE; you can macro them together). PVP is not logged, but Gift, prepot, Berserking. and await DK pull on Shaman. Don't bother Ripping, Maim instead. Focus given target. (might want to swap to PVP trinket to mitigate one CC, but it's not necessary). (REMEMBER TO SWAP BACK) Twins My guild does left side since there are some shenanigans with Shadow Res resulting in left side being more optimal to push. Gift, prepot, DONT CHARGE (Dash if you have Nitro Boots) Keep stacked as tightly as possible, might want to move if correct ball is missing you slightly Remember to swap lights ASAP, change light right after (Nitro Boots pref) & avoid wrong balls during the change (it seems like it's faster to go sideways for light swap than going back and forth) (it's a good time to Innervate someone too) Feral Charge on the way back Pump Anub Gift, prepot + Dash if you have Nitro Boots Berserking on 1st adds pack (You'd apply all bleeds + Roar on already) jump&swipe on 25m, just swipe on 10m (swipe range is bigger during jump) after that Swipe on OoC proc only (includes FF OoC proc) For a long fight (10/25m) - follow Anub to burrow position then go middle and wait for a chase target to be selected. If selected - kite, If not - kill adds, kill bugs, run away from bugs targeting you. (Innervate + Gift when Anub's about to go up) Rinse, repeat Cancel Aura macro on ~33% Anub HP You can Swipe on OoC proc, but focus on Anub pump (you'd have Berserking+pot ready to use at this point) For a short fight (10m) We usually get BL/Heroism at 1st add pack, cleave it down and pump cleave 2nd pack and phase Anub then just pump For a mid fight (25m) We let Anub burrow once Make sure he destroys all the snow fields he's meant to destroy At ~8-5s to emerge try to move him to the tank spot, but w/o destroying tank snow fields Phase him before 2nd burrow.
Holy hell that's a big comment. Thanks for the input! I do mention roar not using omen at around 34:30, niche but useful info (oh I see your link to that later, nvm). I think it is worth prepotting on beasts because you'll use the 2nd on Icehowl so it's essentially free, might as well use it. I decided not to mention the pre-pull berserk since it's also niche, a minor DPS gain if done correctly and a fairly large DPS loss if done incorrectly and it comes down to knowing your raid's kill times very consistently/being able to plan for it, which most players don't/won't. If your beasts kill is fast enough then absolutely pre pull Berserk. Your opener is incorrect, you should absolutely be using rake as your 3rd GCD there, there's no reason to ignore it until rip is up. The FF can come lower too, down around 20 energy instead of 40. Biting during zerk is fine as long as your timer and energy conditions are met, (which is at bare minimum during zerk, around 18-20). I personally don't like to macro stuff together, it absolutely costs you when you use TF on anub and blast a sapper right before adds spawn, many such cases on other bosses too. I appreciate the comment! Good stuff about the bosses, all helpful tips
In the situation at the end of the video u say the sim would bite with 4 seconds of rip and 9 of roar, if you did bite what would be the prio following that. Would you 1 cp roar which would clip then 5 cp rip or 5 cp rip and then 1 cp roar?
If you bite there then your next plays depends a bit on RNG. With 9 seconds of roar you should absolutely be able to get back to 5 points and cast rip before your roar falls, then you just do a short roar with however many points you have when roar falls. If you need to fix it again later you will using the normal roar timing logic. If you get truly atrocious RNG and can't get back to 5 points before roar falls (after that 9 sec) you would just immediately roar when it falls and then build back to 5 for rip.
Key takeaways to start are keep rip and roar up, refresh roar early when rip has 9-10 sec left, always rip at 5 points, keep mangle up, use rake and shred to build combo points, don't ever reach 100 energy (don't waste energy) and don't refresh bleeds early 👍that'ts 95% of it
Hey Beard, thanks for your guides love 'em. I got one question, at how much mobs should i switch from single target "rotation" to swipe? Keep up the great work. :)
3+ mobs you can start using swipe on your omen procs and as an energy dump, while maintaining rip. 5+ mobs you can ignore rip and just keep roar up while swiping away 👍
Seems impossible to maintain 5cp rip on 3 mobs. Would it be possible to get a more detailed explanation of what a 3 mob rotation looks like? I find myself in these situations a lot while gearing up in gamma dungeons and just generally struggle on aoe while slamming dps on ST
about 2-2.5 bites per minute. The bite condition is pretty common - under 67 energy (because that's when you can shred, then bite next global), 5 points, rip has at least 4 sec left and roar is ending at least 5 sec after rip ends. Practice spotting these windows and you'll find them every 20-30 sec 👍
@beardigo-wowferalgrobbulus663 I am just starting and my feral is 5350 GS, but my damage is so low compared to other. I also do find times where my dots will fall off or roar for a few seconds at a time throughout a fight PLUS all the bis guides never had Omen Glyph so I haven't tried raiding yet with that glyph. Lol
so we are getting bonus stats from our talents based on the % of our overall agi, str and so on. This does not affect ARP. However i believe it does not affect food buff either. So math says it does not matter or it is a minor difference (in case talents take food buff into consideration). Either way its more of gear situation. If you are reaching something around 630 arp from your gear alone, you might as well gem to reach the cap w/o food buff so you get more value.
Best case is don't waste stats as the chap above said. If you're not crit capped make sure to use agi>str. Crit cap is ridiculous Maths but it you are around 5.5 with dark matter you'll be capped so keep going with str. Either way the difference is minor. The druid discord stance seems to be, gems don't matter just gem something useful and don't overcap 👍
I always prefer mangle > roar > rake rather than rake > roar > mangle it's incredibly minor but it could be the difference between mangle being up for a first garrote or deep wounds tick, so it's miniscule minmaxing raid damage to mangle first (if no arms war), additionally the initial damage from rake is also bleed damage so you'd be missing out on that too
I looked into this a while ago - the vast majority of bleeds in a raid setting don't tick until a little past the 3.0 sec mark, since bleeds don't tick when you apply them. Deep wounds is the exception, if a warrior crits their first hit it'll tick before mangle is up. I definitely agree with going mangle - roar - rake but mostly for the reason that with our rake buffing tier set bonuses (now and in ICC), having rake get roar buff is pretty big.
This is all great, but sadly it all comes down the speed of the kills. If your guild is like mine and still much slower with kills compared to better guilds on the server, it does not matter how good you are, your parces will still be awful.
I think people put too much stock in this. Yes of course it's true kill times make a massive difference, but it depends how slow we're talking. You can absolutely get oranges in a guild with average kill times. 99s can be a struggle though, depends on the fight.
Yep completely true, unfortunately. Kill times have a massive impact on parse, more than your skill or your gear, it's insane. Sorry to hear that dude 😥Having said that you can still do well, maybe not 99 every fight but should be decent still
@@DoubtedPumpkin Haha my best anub is from a 5 minute GDKP anub, definitely a fight where slow helps. When the adds don't die fast and you can swipe up a storm, feels bad man

Also as far as I am aware, you should always open with rake AFTER roar since it will not retroactively buff it. The selfish open would be omenshred roar rake mangle. Otherwise you want mangle roar rake for maximum dps.
Should also note that the feral sim currently opens with mangle speed pot gloves roar FF shred and doesnt rake until late, seems wrong to me
What weak aura are you using I would like to try it out.
34:30 /\
My sequence would be:
Gift for proc ~10sec before start of the fight
Prepot if possible - on Beasts I have pot+berserk macro right before fight
Mangle
Roar
Shred until Rip
Rake
Keep shredding till ~40 energy then FF
DON'T BITE DURING BERSERKING
(Berserking goes off)
FF off CD (if OoC not procd; usually on 0-ish energy)
Tiger's Fury similarly off CD usually on 0-ish energy (got it macro'd with Bombs, Thermal prio ofc)
Spam Shred
Keep Rip @ 5combo ofc
Savage Roar on any combo points if down
Mangle/Rake when goes down
Bite on 5combo when Rip is at least 8s
(with 4set and ~70% crit chance you're most likely getting OoC proc on Bite)
Beasts:
Gift, prepot, Berserking.
Stay a bit further on pull - Impaler likes to punch melees at pull.
On Beasts you want to Swipe on OoC proc to cleave Kobolds.
Use Gift of the Wild / Innervate in between Beasts and on worm's burrow.
(Remember to stay close to worms, the melee range on them is screwed)
Try to get to the worms on foot (Feral Charge is 10 energy).
Stay max range on Icehowl + use 2nd Berserking after it stuns itself.
Jaraxxus:
Gift, prepot, Berserking.
Make sure you know who's tanking and which way so you can Shred super fast.
(use Weakauras for the fire DoT so you don't die standing in the fire)
Feral Charge to teleport/volcano (ideally with Faerie Fire midair).
PVP is not logged, but
Gift, prepot, Berserking. and await DK pull on Shaman.
Don't bother Ripping, Maim instead.
Focus given target.
(might want to swap to PVP trinket to mitigate one CC, but it's not necessary).
(REMEMBER TO SWAP BACK)
Twins
My guild does left side since there are some shenanigans with Shadow Res resulting in left side being more optimal to push.
Gift, prepot, DONT CHARGE (Dash if you have Nitro Boots)
Keep stacked as tightly as possible, might want to move if correct ball is missing you slightly
Remember to swap lights ASAP, change light right after (Nitro Boots pref) & avoid wrong balls during the change
(it seems like it's faster to go sideways for light swap than going back and forth)
(it's a good time to Innervate someone too)
Feral Charge on the way back
Pump
Anub
Gift, prepot + Dash if you have Nitro Boots
Berserking on 1st adds pack
(You'd apply all bleeds + Roar on already)
jump&swipe on 25m, just swipe on 10m (swipe range is bigger during jump)
after that Swipe on OoC proc only (includes FF OoC proc)
For a long fight (10/25m) - follow Anub to burrow position then go middle and wait for a chase target to be selected.
If selected - kite,
If not - kill adds, kill bugs, run away from bugs targeting you.
(Innervate + Gift when Anub's about to go up)
Rinse, repeat
Cancel Aura macro on ~33% Anub HP
You can Swipe on OoC proc, but focus on Anub pump
(you'd have Berserking+pot ready to use at this point)
For a short fight (10m)
We usually get BL/Heroism at 1st add pack,
cleave it down and pump
cleave 2nd pack and phase Anub
then just pump
For a mid fight (25m)
We let Anub burrow once
Make sure he destroys all the snow fields he's meant to destroy
At ~8-5s to emerge try to move him to the tank spot, but w/o destroying tank snow fields
Phase him before 2nd burrow.
You want to use bersek and 2nd pot on icehowl so yes it is worth to prepot. Even if it is only 3 seconds.
Hi Beardigo, does Tiger fury buff your rip if you cast before rip? Thank you for the great content
you say that feral doesnt have a rotation but a priority system instead. can you give an example of a class or spec that does have a rotation?
Honestly I can't, I don't play any other specs. But it's always the word that people use when discussing how to play, so I chose to mention it
Retri Paladin
All this is I'm sure valuable to me later. But I just switched from resto, so can we make this Far less sweaty?
How did you get away with not tanking splits. This phase sucks so bad
This phase is truly awful. Should have been a month long at the most!
How often do you bite? It seems like it is almost never used unless Berserk is open.
about 2-2.5 bites per minute.
Lol
is it worth getting dragonfin filet and gemming the armor pen instead of hearty rhino and gemming strength?
i see u had both so im curious what u prefer really
so we are getting bonus stats from our talents based on the % of our overall agi, str and so on.
Gems and food are all 1 to 1 trades so it doesn't matter which way round you do it, they're the same 👍
This is great, could you do something for AOE fights?
BiS sapper keybinding
I always prefer mangle > roar > rake rather than rake > roar > mangle
it's incredibly minor but it could be the difference between mangle being up for a first garrote or deep wounds tick, so it's miniscule minmaxing raid damage to mangle first (if no arms war), additionally the initial damage from rake is also bleed damage so you'd be missing out on that too
I looked into this a while ago - the vast majority of bleeds in a raid setting don't tick until a little past the 3.0 sec mark, since bleeds don't tick when you apply them. Deep wounds is the exception, if a warrior crits their first hit it'll tick before mangle is up. I definitely agree with going mangle - roar - rake but mostly for the reason that with our rake buffing tier set bonuses (now and in ICC), having rake get roar buff is pretty big.
great stuff
Excellent
Beard is :bearlove:!
Great vid pog
💯
This is all great, but sadly it all comes down the speed of the kills. If your guild is like mine and still much slower with kills compared to better guilds on the server, it does not matter how good you are, your parces will still be awful.
I think people put too much stock in this. Yes of course it's true kill times make a massive difference, but it depends how slow we're talking. You can absolutely get oranges in a guild with average kill times. 99s can be a struggle though, depends on the fight.
Yep completely true, unfortunately. Kill times have a massive impact on parse, more than your skill or your gear, it's insane. Sorry to hear that dude 😥Having said that you can still do well, maybe not 99 every fight but should be decent still
my guild is extremely average and i got a top 50 on anub
@@DoubtedPumpkin Haha my best anub is from a 5 minute GDKP anub, definitely a fight where slow helps. When the adds don't die fast and you can swipe up a storm, feels bad man
noice
stopped watching the first 2 minutes because mic so bad
plz link weakauras. specifically your trinket ICD one. I havent found a clean one like yours
