The Silo Hotel is Cape Town's most exciting new luxury hotel located in the V&A Waterfront. The Silo Hotel is located above Zeitz MOCAA in Cape Town's historic grain silo building. The original grain silo was built in 1924 and was the tallest building in Africa apart from the pyramids in Egypt at the time. Heatherwick Studio was responsible for the reimagining of the building as a contemporary art museum with a luxury hotel above it. The Silo Hotel has just 28 rooms and offers unrivaled views of Cape Town through the remarkable windows. Liz Biden, the owner of The Royal Portfolio has uniquely decorated each room in her own whimsical and eclectic style while curating an extraordinary collection of contemporary African art.
