  • I bought this CAAD10 used, this is my second CAAD10, after I bought my first CAAD10 in 2010 brand new (my very first road bike) and then subsequently sold that one and had instant regret.
This is such a well designed aluminum bike that's a joy to ride.
+ Stiff frame comparable or even more stiff than some entry level carbon bikes
    + Classic race geometry
+ Clearance for bigger road tires
    + Priced competitively
+ Only 18lb in stock configuration
+ Can be had for great price in used bike market
    - Harsh ride
    - Not full 105 groupset, w/ Tektro and FSA thrown in
    - Entry level wheelset

It still has the original Schwalbe Lugano tires on it; I know they're the original tires because nobody would buy those again. This bike might have been kept out in the rain, but it wasn't rode much.
Can confirm what you say about the Continentals; I have the same bike, and swapping to the GP 4000s made a world of difference.

It is such a shame to leave such a good bike out on the rain. If it is not ridden it should be hanging on some kind of wall, because 20 years from now, CAAD 10 is going to go in the history like one of the best aluminum¡ bikes ever made.
And yes, Conti tyres are far better than Luganos. They are not only grippier and more stable in the curve, they are also much more comfortable and improve ride quality a lot!

Would a stock caad10 in good condition be worth 700?
Im looking at transforming it into a gravel bike with a slightly wider wheelset and tires

Maybe, inflation makes bike pricing difficult. But I sold mine last year for $1000
Caliper brakes make riding on rough descending hard. You might want to look at CaadX or bikes with disc mount for Gravel purpose

I am in the process to buy the same bike CAAD10 but I am wondering if I can replace the tires with GP 5000 S 28 . What do you think ? Do you believe, I will face any problem with the brakes when I have vibrations from the road ?

28 should fit no problem on CAAD10. Vibration could be further reduced with gel handlebar tapes and slightly more cushy seats, it's the aggressive riding stance that you need to be aware :)

I have the same bicycle for two years now. I also bought it used and updated it with better wheels and tyres, better brake pads and shifting cables and what for a bike is it! Light, fast, responsive, beatifull and a joy to ride!
How does it performs in comparison to your carbon Specialized?

2nd shot triggered adverse affects (my old Supraventricular tachycardia) for a day, feeling horrible, but recovered and have since feeling okay.
