I’ve also had terrible eyesight my whole life but come to think of it I’ve never gone out taking photos without glasses or contacts…I am actually interested to see how that would go lol. Also, I’m literally working on the same video this week 🤣

Let me know how that goes Faizal! I sometimes put my glasses on or off when I feel stuck.
Looking forward to the vid! :)

I'm amused by you guys talking about your eyesight being terrible. On one hand, it's really interesting to learn how Ulysses not wearing his glasses can lead to him naturally seeing more color and shape based photo opportunities. On the other hand, personally, my eyesight is bad enough where I wouldn't be able to handle stairs or curbs without glasses. Rest assured guys, if you can even entertain the idea of going out without glasses, your vision isn't that bad. 😄

Hey! Sorry if the audio quality is a bit off, the mic acted up and I had to use a heck of a lot of noise cancelling. Hope it's alright and all of you are doing well. Enjoy!

Hi Ulysses. Great video again. When you are 72 like me and have tinnitus in both ears... you never notice bad audio..lol.

I know you've mentioned them before but I love that you appreciate the importance of good sound quality and have wired IEMs. The trend towards wireless stuff that just doesn't sound as good (and is frankly less convenient because it requires charging) is sad.

Excellent content, thanks for the great suggestions. Depending on the event I will attend ( sports, landscapes etc.)it Would determine which bag I use so for street of course my GRiii in pocket and R6 with a 24-70 will fit well in small shoulder bag.

Hey Ulysses, love the chill vibes. I just wanted to ask you more about the type of sustainability business/field you're in. It sounds very interesting however could you elaborate on what your career involves? Are you like an environmental sustainability photographer or something haha
keep up the great work, your videos really inspire me. I really love your down to earth, mellow chill vibes, they are the type of videos I'd like to make one day once I stop making excuses for myself

I’ve got the Peak Design 6L Sling and though it’s a good bag I think the shape could be better. Yes, it shapes to your body, sort of, but that makes trying to put things in the front pocket and small inside pockets awkward, it makes the corners into like a V shape so though it looks wide at the top it’s not that wide inside.

I’m a colourblind visual artist with fading eyes. Physical imperfections just makes for a better artist. By the way, no more Leica?

Great video! Do you ever have an issue with dust/lint getting into the Ricoh sensor when you leave your camera in your pocket ?

Are you using moleskin tape for blister use? If not, you can get it at a drugstore or Amazon. Good stuff!

What model is the bag that you showed in this video?

It's just a small Montbell waist porch. (Montbell is a Japanese outdoor brand, I think...?)
Got it on Amazon for about $15

Thanks for sharing all this great info. Out of curiosity, I'm wondering if there's a reason why you brought the GR-IIIx instead of a regular GR-III.

    • @UlyssesAokiPhoto
      @UlyssesAokiPhoto  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Ricoh Japan has been lending me this for about a year! And that's the biggest reason. I also have a GR2 though.
