In this video, I will show you how easy and quick it is to replace the in cabin air filter on a 2015-2020 Ford F-150 truck. It’s not easy but you’re able to do it without removing any bolts or that upper piece I just changed mine it took a bit of finagling to get the cover back on but it’s possible.

So I cracked the edge of the wood trim in my Platinum when attempting to remove it, despite using a trim removal tool. I aborted removal and switched to changing the filter without removing anything based on your comment and it worked but yes was difficult.

BTW all horizontally mounted cabin air filters with the blower motor mounted below the filter will have downward air flow.
