I love my Condor blades, mine are more heavy machetes but they’re fun to use. Saying that, I love my Tramontina machetes. The big zombie killers are fun to swing around. I’ve got some big Kukris that are mean choppers. I’ve put them to work on Australian hardwoods & fatwood.
A mate of mine bought a tramontina and it didn't even come with a bevel. Its a mock machete. Thats why Im watching this video, Im buying him something halfway decent.
pretty certain I mentioned before, I have several different condors ... those are the machetes I carry when I feel like I have been slipping on the workouts :)
Get yourself a steel ring & a piece of leather & make yourself a dangler to attach straight to the loop they provided. You can also use paracord as a quick fix option.
I live in Panama. We buy Imacasa machetes down here. None are 2 lb's. I have a 22 inch Imacasa machete that is only 500 grams. I could't swing that heavy machete for very long. My Imacasa cost me 5 dollars and I like it. No one down here would spend 100 dollars on a machete.
Condor's is always great. The sheaths are 10/10. My first big camp-knife was their Camp Golok and I still love it! For longer blades like I def. agree it's hard to beat a bombproof tramontina. Have you tried any of their crazier more fun-inspired designs like the Makara or Amalgam? I'm interested to see how practical they actually are :)
Nice video and test ans always. Looks like a very good quality machete. Btw, What type of snake was it in the video? We dont have that type here in Norway.
Doesn't look like a tool for working a full day shift clearing brush Try the 14 inch Tramontina bolo, it's light, sharp and cheap. Probably the only machete you'll ever need.
If you’re death gripping that handle you’re killing yourself. Use a pinch grip with your pointer and thumb and keep the rest of your fingers loosely on the handle and flick your wrist. A lot less tiring if you’re spending a lot of time chopping.
Are you serious $100 dollars i grew up using a colins brands and a few mexican made that i dont remember the brands but they were very good none cost more than12 dollars now i got 2 machetes an 18 in valley brand cost 6 dollars for everyday use its on my welding truck my favorit an okc 12in that cost 20 dollars

It’s definitely a tough knife but it’s pricey! I think all the money is in the sheath 😂
The sheaths are very nice. Very thick leather.

hahaha, I knew you would eventually get one. The sheaths are almost worth the cost of the entire machete package
I think the money is in the sheath too. It really felt a lot like a cold steel blade!!

@@sharpridgehomestead makes sense!😂😂

Imacasa and Tramontina all the way. The best imho.
There's more hardwood and less lush vegetation up north here, so I guess that's what it's for.
I have one of their 16 inchers, the Mountain Pass. It's a nice stealth option swiveled up under the arm and the handle tucked into my pocket.

I don’t know how this comment slipped through the cracks but hey man! I’m definitely going to look into those models!
I think Cold steel slightly different. I think they use 1070 vs 1075 that imacassa/condor uses.
You have tapes all over you! I do all my tree diameters and fish measurements with my 8 inch hand scale🍻
🤙 This is my 8”

That snake was what we call a “black racer”. Some people call them rat snakes but aren’t all snakes rat snakes?!😂 They’re non-venomous and harmless.
@@soloproject99 Aha. Thanks for the info. Yes I guess all snakes are "Rat-snakes" 😆
@@runerebel8441Ehhh I suppose all snakes besides king snakes, which feed on other snakes lol. I suppose they’re snake snakes.
😆🤣@@John5.56
😂😂 I love it!
I have 3 different condor machete's, I love mine but are expensive.
Imacasa is made by condor you should give 24 inch 127 a chance
👌

A pinch grip is definitely my favorite grip! I hate having to squeeze a machete I’m swinging all day!
@@soloproject99 Right on. A lot of people don’t know how to properly hold a machete so just figured I’d mention.
They're good blades but heavy
Some guys prefer that heft but I really don’t need it so much. It’s harder to recover your swing and much harder to stop it, should you need to.
@@soloproject99 a longer machete of that weight is easier to control
