Thanks for watching Survival On Purpose.
I am Salvadorean. Less than 10% of Salvadorans actually own one of these Condor machete. Way too expensive for the average Salvadorean at $90. However almost all Salvadoreans have the $10 version of this made by Imacasa (parent company of Condor) out of 1075. Highly recommend Imacasa machete, tough as hell! With a native full leather sheath for $10.
I had a Condor from El salvador for like 10 years, great quality and not bad price. Good machetes are hard to find nowadays do
Looks like a good blade !
We use machetes for trimming new sod instalation. The handles usually fly off pretty quick so we tape them up new to help keep them on. Very nice , I like the handle. Do they have left handed ones 😂😅
👍🖖✌️
I believe that upgrade to the BOARD is a "Ligninal Orientation Gauge"
Thanks Brian!
Appreciate the content
I like my XS sights
Just subbed. Great video and product. Also I love the Chuck Norris facts. Thanks Brian.
Thanks for the sub!
@SurvivalOnPurpose what are your 2 best bushcraft knives?
Sharp Saturday is appreciated and looked forward to by your subscribers!
Thank you!
I have a couple Condor parangs, great quality at a decent price. 👍
Happy Sharp Saturday Brian, thanks for sharing YAH bless brother !
Very welcome
this machete is available in stainless steel version which is good against humidity in jungle conditions
Great video buddy
Hello Brian, hope all's well with everyone/thing. Keep up the good work and vids. Be safe and take care, "God Bless", sincerely, Randy. 😇🙏👊
Thanks, you too!
Bryan, can you make a trip to Alabama with your Condor Machete to help me clear these creepy crawler vines from my target range? Bring some boom sticks if you want. I've go 100 yards measured out. We can get this done in an hour or so. Bring Kuma if he doesn't mind thunder and other dogs.
Nice video. Thank you.
3 months later and this machete costs $140. I guess the demand for machetes has doubled
Cool video
Are you going to do a Tramontina machete, too?
How do you sharpen a convex grind? Thanks.
You can use a belt sharpener like the Work Sharp Ken Onion or just a whetstone. if you use a whetstone, it is really a little easier because you don't have to worry about keeping the blade at exactly the right angle. Just practice on a cheap knife until you get the feel of it
Blade design looks like my Puerto Rican machete I got from my gal in 1976 for my 21st Bday. ..but 17" and only 16th" thick. (2MM) but decent machete...and it sings during branch use.
Pointy, sharp one has to use care re-sheathing to leather that the sheath is straight on in.
Mine poked on through thick leather 4" from end, 2.25" long slice and near sliced open my hand. :-l
Live 'n learn with first ever re-sheathing. ~ And why I really like the tough plastic sheath that came with my Ontario 18".
blah blah blah (-:
Does Kuma live with you full time now?
Yep
Thanks 👍
Great video.
Glad you enjoyed it
That looks like a heavy swinging hippy kind of machete. Jese, that unit looks like a great knife. I wouldn't want to be in your throwing zone. Take Care and Be Safe.
I like it other than the hole in the blade
Cold Steel Cutlass Machete
First thing I thought when I clicked on the video, is he going to throw the knife into the board.
I know, I couldn’t resist
Tramontina
A tool used by half the world who know what they are using them for
If a tramontina is good enough for them
It’s good enough for me and it’s inexpensive ✌️🇺🇸
No way lol , throwing machetes lol
Condor makes good stuff. I just wish they would not put that hole in the blade. Weakening the blade for "decoration" just is not a good idea, IMHO...
I don’t think that little hole hurts anything. And it is ever so stylish😉
Sling blade
you got a ton of vines behind you and you chop wood for a "jungle" test? huh?
The only vines I have are poison ivy. I don’t mess with poison ivy.
Not safe practices on chopping with it
Good video but the tool isn’t that impressive
