- This is PlayStation 2 Pro or PS2 Pro System Menu, completely animated and or images simulated.
This is NOT a remake "replica" of the PS2 System menu, just a "pretended" superior version.

PS2 Pros technically do exist. the TEST debug models contain twice as much RAM as a retail unit, so there's no slowdown on any game playing on one.
Those were overpowered as hell mostly when you played an open-world game like gta san andreas
Huh. That's pretty intresting. I never noticed that in the test debug models in the technical perspective. I just knew it didn't have the DVD Player firmware.

@@emptyspotlight It was basically like Apple's Cover Flow but with the Background of the earlier PS1 BIOS revisions... and that's it, no sounds, no fancy stuff... it just feels like Sony did the Main Menu in like 5 Minutes...

Same here. The startup sounds beautiful. I'd never think to hack my PS2, but now I would just for those two startup sounds.

Hot damn dude this is incredible, great job. This makes me really wish that Sony sometime soon starts making classic/mini versions of the PS1 and PS2 like Nintendo has that also have disk trays that let you play any old games you may still have for the original consoles. Especially now with ROM files for all old games getting purged off the internet. :(

Still working on the menu placement which is critical part of the project, trying to make it simple as I can and trying not to ripoff any else. I’m also working on themes also so I’ll probably show in the project. My personal profile will have a cool black theme. lol but yeah.

I think I might use the same one, although I was thinking of making a new one but yes the startup sound is very incredible. I still love rewatching it everyday. The sound might be modified a bit with reverb.

You've just made RSOD way more terrifying than the original one, as if it's genuinely depicting the entrance to hell.
Yeah I think I got the message. So what. It's visual stuff... I might be leading there since my life isn't so great.
Personally, I think the RSOD should have been a red pupil with the cubes spinning inside it as it looks at the player.
Sort of a representation of the MECHACON warning the player to insert readable media as opposed to a supposed backup.
I think if either yourself, or Sony themselves implemented that, THAT would have been scary as hell!
The RSOD on this is twice as scary as the real one.

So long as Sony refuses to consistently make consoles backward compatible, the PS2 will remain a viable part of my gaming equipment. Too many old favorite games that never ported to the PS3 or PS4.
Planned obsolescence: throw away the old, buy new... keep us rich!

I could see this designed for a ps2 in 2004 for HD TVs. And with more focus on audio and video with a buffed GPU and more ports such as an HDMI port and an output for a surround sound receiver.
