I can see more than 10 countries qualifying in this semi final, but it’s such a close race for the final few spots. Latvia, Lithuania and Moldova all sit on the fence for me but I have more faith in them than the others.
However, I’m still praying for Iceland and Slovenia to pull off some shocks, since I love both songs.

I think juries will push Switzerland to qualify.
Austria wont have enough jury support and it will hurt their chances of qualifying.
Iceland is a dark horse, it is appealing to both juries and televote and I think they will have enough support to qualify.
Moldova will have a lot of televotes, but I think juries will go for Denmark instead of Moldova and it will hurt Moldovas chances.
I'm really surprised you think Albania and Austria won't make it, I don't like those songs, but they seemed like "safe" qualifiers... so my list:

Austria's vocals have been VERY criticized in the rehearsals. I think they will collapse and there is already an EDM song (Norway) to collect the votes from those fans.
I agree with Albania. I think Switzerland might qualify because they have good vocals and the staging is good.

Previous years and results showed how big impact the juires have on overall results, damaging some countries that were considered as safe qualifyers. I think Albania and Austria will not have enough juires support.

I find it fascinating that Albania isn't in your qualifiers. That was a deadset qualifier before rehearsals. Staging definitely isn't really what I pictured but I still see it qualifying (at least from the clip I've saw).
I also find it interesting that despite Switzerland not having much support from anyone online, it's currently expected to qualify according to the odds. I know betting odds aren't a deadset way to predict but it always interests me when a song that feels like a certain non-qualifier is consistently in the top 10 in the odds (same was for Armenia 2018).
Here's my prediction of the qualifiers:

I have fears over Lithuania and I'm not 100% on Denmark either so if they don't qualify I've predicted Iceland or Slovenia to replace them - interesting as I predicted Iceland could finish near last prior to rehearsals.
Doesn’t seem like Switzerland is gonna be a qualifier by tomorrow though, Austria are close behind.
@@aaronboucher60 Yeah I don't think the running order does it any favours either. Feels like it's going to be an Austria last year type situation. I also don't think Austria will qualify either though.
I think it will not have enough support from juries and that will hurt their chances. Also their performance and stagging are a little bit messy, and that can affect televotes. They will get diaspora votes as always, but I think they might struggle for some bigger result in televote.
@@nina.na9 I think the televote is probably where it will shine acc, I agree with a possible tank with the juries but I think it’s probably top 5 with the televote and especially being the opener, I mean I’ve not seen seen anyone doing rankings put this low down and it’s one of the most popular fandom songs.
@@nina.na9 I tend to agree with you on juries, I don't think this staging is what I can imagine juries going for. I still think it'll get a decent enough televote to get through though, they have a good amount of nations that usually vote for them here. It's not the surefire qualifier I thought it would be though.

Hello guys my number one Netherlands and i like Albania Greece and portugal
Everyone's saying the second semi is the strong semi but I have to say, this is the harder semi to predict. There are like 13 countries I could see qualifying based on the rehearsal clips. These are the countries I WANT to qualify:
Albania, Denmark, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Slovenia, Ukraine
However, these are the countries I THINK will qualify:
Albania, Armenia, Greece, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Ukraine
I have Slovenia as the borderline non-qualifier because I can see the jury really appreciating the song's complex structure, and let's be real they're unbelievably cute! This won't end up being the last in the televote points. If the miracle happens and Slovenia qualifies to the finals, they have a chance to knock out my borderline qualifier Iceland.
I think this one gone have more in the final top 10 that the other one.
I agree that Ukraine, Greece, Armenia, Norway, Netherlands and Portugal seem safe bets. I think Moldova is pretty safe as well. In addition to those 7, I'll go a bit risky with Albania, Denmark and Bulgaria. No one from the Eurovision bubble will vote for Bulgaria, but I think for a general person watching they just see a well-performed rock song with solid staging and will like it.
Not feeling Austria either and I think Latvia's running order will work against it when it comes to the televote. Iceland is a borderline qualifier for me, but I decided to go risky with Bulgaria even though I'll almost surely be wrong lol

Unpopular opinion: I don’t think Armenia should qualify, even though it probably will. Nobody gave two cents about this song before the rehearsals. And while I agree that the staging has elevated it, I don’t really think this staging concept is any more innovative than what Dihaj did with “Skeletons” for Azerbaijan in 2017. The song is still extremely basic, both on a musical and a lyrical level, doesn’t really have a climax, and so composition-wise, it shouldn’t be in the final. It doesn’t add anything distinctively Armenian to the line-up either; it just sounds like a middle-of-the-road song from the US. I just watched the first semi final of the ASC last night, and “Snap” would have fit right in there.
Shame on you, it's not politics, it's a music competition! Rosa has a wonderful song and performance!
@@ninja777_2 What does my comment have to do with politics? 🙄 I’m from Germany, I don’t have any stakes in the matter. The fact that I compared this staging to that of a prior Azeri entry is just coincidence. Both happen(ed) to be using a “simulated room on stage“. I could also compare it to Sweden‘s “Dandi Dansa“, but that didn’t make it to Eurovision itself.

@@ImStevan odds have it as 15th with 20% chance and drifting. I like it and wouldn’t be upset to see it qualify but it’s just kind of a non-impact song that doesn’t push you to vote for it, like Croatia.

I really don't see Latvia doing THAT badly with the juries. Jury non-qualifier, sure, but I think there's a good chance Latvia gets around 12th with the jury - some jurors are going to downvote this for the lyrics, but it's well staged and well performed, and many jurors are going to support it at least somewhat for that, especially if they're not tuning into the lyrics that much. Not to focus on it too much, but Latvia came 14th with the EuroJury. Given how well this is being performed live, I can't see why this would do so badly now when it did pretty well there.

I don't think Moldova or Latvia will qualify, their vocals are not very good, the juries will bury them and with the televote they will need to be on top 3 to make it through.

That way you support the country, but not by letting it win. If in advance Ukraine would already win because! A competition is no longer useful. Link a fundraising campaign to the Eurovision song contest this year, which is real help. Each vote via SMS/Whatsapp costs 2.50 euros, of which 2 euros goes to Ukraine. With 15 million votes, that will generate a lot of money for humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
