@@juuaccosttesc1564 lol I don't the entry either I think it's too safe, but they are literally using the same stage space they used for the song contest hosted on 2014, out of all stages this is BY FAR the biggest. And it doesn't help they performed without audience so... you might be a bit unfair here. The song is in fact like Leonora, pretty safe, but in the end, they would have gotten 20th or less place in the final.

Yes, I like Deban's opinions, but there is a matter of nasty attitude which has amplified this year beyond tolerable. He wasn't this nasty in earlier years. Corona attitude perhaps? In general people are nastier these tough days. But William is sweeter and sweeter, almost too gentle. I may agree with Deban's views, but I would stick with William's choices.

I see it as different approaches Will is analytical, Deban is opinionated - both approaches have their pros and cons. Will can be tripped up by assumptions of voting patterns which don't have always work, Deb by the assumption that people agree with him and value what he does - and sometimes they don't. I've seen Will talk himself out of a correct prediction in 2018 but the same year Deban baldly stated that everyone would respect an entry that he did and he was wrong. I'll spare his blushes about what he predicted about the winner in 2021 but look up Michael Fish and the 86 Hurricane to get an idea of scale of fail.

I feel like there are only two songs in semi 2 that have absolutely no chance of qualifying, Portugal and Estonia. You can make a case for the other 16 songs for a chance in qualifying. I feel like Denmark is comfortably in the final though, as they qualify last year with a worse song in a similar genre in a more competitive semi-final, and did well in the final. The 6 countries that are 100% locks are Greece, Iceland, Serbia, Bulgaria, Denmark and Switzerland. The other 4 slots you can just draw randomly from the remaining 10 countries, however, I think the frontrunners without seeing the staging are Latvia, Poland, Armenia and Albania, with Georgia just missing out.
Why is Deban raging this whole season? For me I don’t understand why he cannot see any beauty in songs that are not his type. Actually that somehow ruins the whole Eurovision mood and euphoria... :/

Armenia's revamp really saved that song. Originally it wouldn't have qualified, but after the revamp, i think it could have finished top 10 in the final if it had good staging, performance and vocals.

This semi is way more unpredictable then the first one and literally anyone could qualify.
Which in my opinion makes it way more exiting and interesting!
Definite qualifiers in my opinion are: Switzerland, Bulgaria, Iceland, Greece, Latvia and Armenia (same as you guys) and the rest are all border line for me. I don't have a certain non qualifier and literally any of them could have qualified with good staging, or ruin them with bad staging or vocals! To bad we will never find out! :'(

Both Czech Republic and Moldova could have gone through. To me they are better than the ones William put through (Serbia, Finland, Albania). They may not be popular with Euro fans but they only make up maybe around 10% of the audience watching.

I think San Marino would have pulled a Serhat 2019. It's an absolute bop and she can actually sing! Also Iceland would have most certainly made the top 3 if not winning this whole thing.
So putting my own feelings aside (as my views of what I’d like to go through are completely different), I’ve devised a little method to figure out which 10 would make it through to the finals.
Ive ranked the semi 2 songs in order of official music videviews. This puts them in a rank from most viewed to least (so most viewed is 1 point, 2nd most viewed is 2 etc).
I’ve taken the Wiwibloggs rankings for each songs in the 2nd semi and done the same. (Top scoring song gets 1 point, 2nd gets 2 etc).
I used the the ‘My Eurovision’ app community rankings and tranferred those rankings to points also.
Adding all the ranking points up from Wiwbloggs, The My Eurovision App, and the most views for each song, I’ve then averaged them. This is the turn out which I think stands quite accurate:
Qualifiers:
1) Switzerland
2) Bulgaria
3) Iceland
4) Armenia
5) Greece
6) Latvia
7) Denmark
8) Serbia
9) Albania
10th is a toss up between Georgia & Poland.
The rest ranked like this:
12) Austria
13) Portugal
14) Czech Republic
15) Finland
16) Moldova
17) San Marino
18) Estonia
Personally I’d like Austria & San Marino to replace Greece & Denmark.

As we've seen from the Austrian and Finnish jury Albania would probably be a safe qualifier. Top 5 jury material and I doubt the televote would sink it below 13th or something. It's safe to assume that we would see Arilena perform on Saturday night

Serbia would definitely qualify, Deban is just wrong on this one. Hurricane has a massive fanbase (not including the Eurofans) as well and this song is one of the few upbeat songs in that semifinal. Lmao and he put Moldova and Estonia through? Deban please come back to Earth. I think you're still stuck in the days of cheesy ESC.
Sorry but how is Arilena not a definite qualifier. She has the best voice of the year. She has the most powerful voice and knows how to perform. Her performance of Shaj at Festivali i Kenges was incredible even though the staging was so simple. Arilena Ara is the 2020 version of Tamara Todevska in how she wasn't even a qualifier for some people yet she won the jury. Arilena hands down would have been top 3 in the jury vote.
We all know that Albania is always a non qualifier and then we see them in the final.They just don't give a damm about the odds🤣.
If someone doesn't like rock songs it doesn't mean that Georgia's song is bad. Everyone have own taste. ❤

It’s hard for me to predict. Bulgaria, Switzerland and Greece are in the final because the songs are too good comparing to the others, even without staging. Iceland got the staging and has the whole package, so it’s in comfortably. The others depend on what they do on stage.

🇷🇸 Serbia - When I saw allocation draw in January, I was sure that Serbia without good and energetic song wouldn't qualify. No Monetegro, Croatia, Macedonia in this Semi Final, but we have Switzerland, Austria and Bulgaria. This is dance song, energetic... However, it doesn't have power like Fuego or She got me... Televoters would appreciate this.
🇩🇰 Denmark - Happy, good mood song. Denmark is part of Scandinavia and together with Norway and Sweden scores very well. Even last year they made it through.
No qualifiers:
🇲🇩 Moldova - Last year, with a boring song and a great presentation, they almost made it to the finals. 2018 created a great performance with an average song and ended up in the TOP 10. Moldova always does a good performance, but I don't know about this song.
🇫🇮 Finland - This is a boring song. Instead of Erika, they chose the most boring song. Perhaps with the great support of the jury they would by some miracle make it to the finals.
🇸🇲 San Marino - Nice try, but not enough. Catchy song, but this need good performance and be lucky like Serhat.
🇪🇪 Estonia - Good singer, but so average song. Only with 90-80 points from juries and 24 points or more from 🇱🇻🇫🇮 this could even qualify.
I really can't predict this semi final. I have made my prediction for every semi final since 2017 but this one is just impossible, especially without seeing the stagings. It's a shame we will never learn the true qualifiers, it would have been a very exciting semi final!!!
