    Thanks for the great review! I actually have the George F. grill and I love it. I have heard a few people say that the stand is not sturdy, but mine went together solid and has no issue. As far as grill flavor.. I burn a piece of charcoal in a small metal dish, inside the grill. Add a little of the meat juice to produce smoke and close the lid. Works wonders. Cheers!

    I bought this as my first propane grill. It's been a fun, learning experience th-cam.com/users/postUgkxCx5fHawkK9OoV-ojFrY8JLnZrFwAmvUt . I think it's a bit too pricey after looking at other grills, but it wasn't hard to put together and it works really well. I love the side burner option for heating food during a power outage. I have an electric stove and live in the South (Hurricane season), so this was a bonus. I also bought a cover for it and it has protected it nicely (the Char Broil All-Season Grill Cover 3-4 Burner: Large). Every few grill sessions, I take the rack (or grate) and burner covers off and clean them with a non-abrasive scrubby and mild soap. I wipe the excess off of the bottom as well, taking care to avoid the gas and pilot lines.

    I’ve had the Weber Q2400 for a few years on my condo terrace. I’m pretty happy with it being limited to electric. This is my second one. The first one lasted about 5 years with pretty regular use. Im on my third year of the Q2400. You have to let it heat up about 15-20 minutes. And I do use a temperature probe. I would recommend the Weber.

    Thank you. I was given a small Electric BBQ with a lid. The surface was non stick but the coating was cracking. I put some aluminium foil down and put some chick pieces on medium. Not hot enough so I put on high and it cooked the chicken but they tasted bland. Your great video explains why. I have picked up a cheap metal tray with a non stick coating so I will experiment with this. Again a very good Video.

    Thanks for the great detailed review. I recently found out that my condo complex is changing their by laws and in a couple years gas grills will no longer be allowed, mainly due to state laws and insurance reasons cause no one has the space to keep a grill more than 10 feet away from the side of their unit. So just started browsing reviews as i have no idea what to look for in an electric grill. your video has answered a lot of questions i didn't know I would have and gave me a great starting point when looking for a potential grill to buy

    I LOVE my Char Broil electric grill! It's my 2nd one, (left my 1st big kettle one behind when I sold my home) .... and a much smaller one, which works beautifully for my new small space. You will never be disappointed in a "Char Broil" electric grill. I actually use a Lodge cast iron grill pan on top of my grids when grilling. It works beautifully and grills spot on each time. ♡

    I have a patio bistro that was given to me by a guy that lost his townhouse. It worked for about a year. I’ve tightened all of the bolts, fixed a ground fault in the controller, & I have a new heating element & grease tray coming tomorrow. I’m very excited to get back to grilling on my rebuilt unit!! 😁

      I own the 2400 and it rocks. Over time, food will taste more like the Q propane, which I used to own. Clean the grate gently and do not clean the element- per Weber- and you will develope very good flavor on your food. It gets to 600 degrees heat. The top and bottom are lined with aluminum. So that adds for a consisant heat along with the enameled cast iron grates

    Many thanks for your great review! Last summer I inherited a nearly new Char-Broil Patio Bistro and nearly sold it at a yard sale as mistakenly thought that you needed a 240 volt power source or it would not heat up enough to cook. After watching your review where it earned 2nd place and learning that it will run off a normal outside 120 GFI plugin, I am anxious to give it a try especially cooking steak and chicken. Yum!

    Nice video! I like the dry heat of an electric or charcoal grill, as compared to the moisture given off by gas flames. So with the Weber Q2400 for instance, have you tried adding wood chips in a foil tent to add 'smoke'? Also, have you tried to 'smoke' a pork butt for instance? Thanks!

    • @SmokingMeatGeeksMeatGeeks
      @SmokingMeatGeeksMeatGeeks  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks; I haven't tried a long smoke on the Weber Q2400 but I'd look to grab the roasting shield (www.amazon.com/Weber-6562-Original-Roasting-Grilling/dp/B00FLRB416) to help with the direct heat; otherwise I think you'd burn the bottom 1/4 of the cut.

    Thanks for the review, but for future videos I recommend you focus on each grill one at a time, maybe 1st threw 5th place or something like that. I found it confusing seeing you jump from grill to grill on random topics. I would rather hear your complete opinion on each product and then rate them at the end with the good and bad. Also people like seeing more food cooking clips and less someone playing with the grill lids while they wave their hands around. Give the crowd eye candy while you express your opinions you'll see more interest if we see the food cooking on each grill as you review each one.

    Seen a few US videos and the Weber Q1400 seems to have extra "protective" metal insets in the lid and barrel, these are not in the Northern European version I have. Not sure if these are due to some different laws, better/cheaper construction etc.
    Edit: I figured it out. My version is with a cast aluminum body (around 25 lb); since you said 50 lb it might be cast iron/steel and aluminum inner plates in the us.
    Edit 2: Wrong again. The US Weber page says 28 lb...

    • @SmokingMeatGeeksMeatGeeks
      @SmokingMeatGeeksMeatGeeks  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Strange. The lid is cast aluminum. As for the weight, it looks to be listed at 41 lbs. I'm gonna need to pull it out of the garage and weigh it for you to get an exact answer for everyone.

    Power on these is way to low. Most of them are like 1500-1700 Watts, that's not going to give you any real grilling power. Although I suppose you would be limited to a standard 120 volt outlet.
