I have used a large kettle Char-Broil electric grill for 15 years. Recently moving to a small space, I just ordered this exact grill. I love everything about my electric grill! The one thing you have to be careful with is not opening the lid for too long. This is the reason why your cheese didn’t melt all the way. Otherwise, it will perfectly melt along with perfectly grill any food just like a charcoal or propane grill will. I enjoyed this video and would like to see more grilling on this grill!
I have this grill (have for a few years) and as long as I keep the lid shut, I get very good results. A handful of wood chips really helps deliver awesome flavor. Only thing I'll say is that the power isn't really there for cold days. Definitely not a year-round grill up here in Maine.
Awesome, it doesn’t get insanely cold in my area, but we do get down below freezing during the night sometimes. And I live in a tiny apartment that just came out with a regulation stating that we cannot have gas or charcoal grill at all on the property. Looking forward to getting one of these little things!
@@dumbdog2924 Mine just died, BTW. I bought a Weber q1400. Haven't had it out of the box yet, but definitely seems to have more resistance to cold (insulated), based on what I've seen online. For what I paid, no hate for the CharBroil.
@@dumbdog2924 It's tripping my GFCI after a few seconds. Likely the coil (I've read moisture can get in them and create a ground fault). Maine winter likely killed it.
I'm looking to pick one up this week, they're no longer made with the convenient tabletop/flaps yours come with! such a shame, even as an add-on it would've been such a game-changer to have. Oh well! I'm crossing my fingers quality hasn't gone down ♥ A few reviews i've seen, folks have had it for over 6 yrs which is nice for the price point!
Man this video kicks all type of ass! Thank you so much I'm in the market for an electric grill due to guess what?......I live on a second floor. I see all these generic looking elec grills (they never use) on the other places this is going to be the way to go for me, all I needed was to see it in action 👍
This grill probably runs no higher than 1500 watts as is the standard for most small appliances on a 120 volt circuit. Therefore, it wouldn't use more than 1.5 kilowatt-hours per hour. A hair dryer pulls slightly more power, but that couldn't hold a candle to an electric stove or electric dryer. In short, it wouldn't raise your power bill by much (if at all) unless you were grilling every day.
We got a older one without the sides and that one had the worst flare ups ever. We just picked this up at Canadian Tire. Let’s hope this one is better. Oh by the way great video.
I preheated the grill to 550. Put on steaks and not really any grills marks and did not sear. Does not heat up like a gas grill. Personally I don't care for it. Should have bought a small gas grill.

@@corystansbury noted! Do you think the heating element just died or do you think it was the cable?

Just assembled our Charbroil grill yesterday. Love the priceless tips you’re sharing.
Yea I have this exact one on my patio it cooks great
Just bought yesterday, live in condo cheers from Toronto…great video!
This is the time of year I just got one on Friday. Used Facebook market 50 bucks quick clean and away we grill. Love from Denver Colorado
Takes forever to get hot but once it does, it's awesome.its hard to clean though 😢
How's the flavor, would you recommend a foil pack of wet wood chips for a smokey flavor?
Throw regular un-soaked wood chips directly on the grate for a smoked flavor
Soak your wood chips and keep in a foil pack mines caught on fire and it was a huge mess don’t forget to turn grill off when done using wood chips.
@@msfya1588 Which kind of wood chips..and soak in what water?? I'm thinking of getting this grill myself..lol..

You're a salesman for sure lol. Nice job and good video.
It is the fact in NYC, checked!
Where did you get that fancy spatula ?
Spatula tongs
They looked great on electric grill
Thanks for watching!
Where can I buy one from
Noticed you've got it on high heat for chicken, isn't typical for any other type of grill, electric or any other type.
So are you saying it doesn't heat up to the temp it should?
Excelente vídeo! You are so funny guy! Thanks!
I have this grill because my condo won’t let me have a charcoal or gas. Works well.
you awesome
just got one...cleaning the grates is a pain in the ass....also you have to oil the grates or your food will stick to it if your cooking chicken
Like with most grills...Thanks for watching, Ron
Alright.
You gotta turn dat bih 45 degrees before flippin to get the mf cross hatch pattern my guy! Great vid
I live at 6500ft and this grill won't get over 400... not great.

How long did you wait for it to heat up?
We get great sear/grill marks on ours, all the time. Better than the restaurants we go to.
Why do people rave so much about grill marks? I just want some good meat!
Because you eat first with your eyes
I think it's the same people that talk about lawn stripes all the time. Loco
You making meatloaf? Smh
