    U already have the cvh block that has the efi fly wheel pick up hole. The fly wheel prob had the 36 1 triggers on the back.

      No I have the CVH block that has the hole for the crank sensor and i have a MFI fly wheel.

      You simply needed a cvh efi flywheel. And a cvh efi sensor.

    Another good video Simmo, got my new chassis rails to swap and just got the complete efi manifold so will be going down that route in the future so its good to get your experiences first hand mate, well done to the brother in law too

      What are you doing about the throttle pedal? I've heard you need to swap to efi pedal or fit a cosworth throttle body which allows you to keep the original pedal?

      Thanks mate,

    Nice work and enjoying watching the upgrade… I too have an MFI car… can you put links up where you got all the bits from for the conversion 👍

    • @Simonstockton82
      @Simonstockton82  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey mate thanks for the support. The only bit for the conversion I bought off the shelf was the trigger kit and that was from burtons.
      I would recommend joining the series 2 owners forums on Facebook and talking to a guy called Jano OddKidd, he can make you a trigger kit that will fit properly without modifying like I had to
      Oh actually I did get an adapter plate for the MFI head to EFI manifold. I’ll edit the description in this video and upload it for you mate

    Nice to see progress! 👍
    I'm working on the engine of my MK3 right now, but mine needs a bit more work. Bore it over, new Wiseco pistons and H-beam rods, camshaft etc.pp.
    What engine management will you run? From what I've heard Haltech is big in your country, right?
    Kind regards from Germany!

    • @Simonstockton82
      @Simonstockton82  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thats awesome man! Yeah I will be running a haltech, most likely an elite 750.
      I havent decided if I want to run the Haltech IC-7 dash too yet, but if i do ill need the 1500 i think for the extra canbus port as I will use one for a wide band o2 sensor.
      What are you using?

    • @juppzmuda9725
      @juppzmuda9725 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Simonstockton82 I think the Haltechs are really good stuff! 👍 Never heard anything bad about them!
      I will use an Ecumaster EMU, mostly because a friend is really fit in programming those (he does this as a side job) and uses EMUs himself, in a Focus MK1 RS and a Lancer Evo VIII.
      Also they are widely spread over here, so matching sensors etc. are easy to get.

    Get a AP Paddle Clutch in there buddy, bit awkward at first with peddle feel and judder but if you are planning to run over 200bhp then it's the only reliable option.

    Just wondered why you went this route? You already have the hole in the block by the flywheel for the fiesta rss turbo crank sensor! You literally just needed to screw a sensor in and fit a cvh efi flywheel. For a factory fit job

      The postage from the UK on a efi fly wheel mate. When I come over to visit some mates I'll bring on back in excess baggage

    • @NickthaGeek
      @NickthaGeek 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @Simonstockton82 yes mate. I would definitely recommend that 👌.
      I didnt even realise rs turbos were popular around the world. My small mindedness thought they were mainly a uk thing. Being an 80's baby, these were the peak of my youth. Literally had over 20 odd. Did loads of conversions on things like orions, mk3 and 4 cabriolets etc.
      Is rs turbo's a aussie thing then? Or is yours and import?
      I assume they are not common as yours is the first ive heard of from your part of the world.

    • @Simonstockton82
      @Simonstockton82  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @NickthaGeek they aren't popular here mate, I lived in the UK while I served in the British forces for 14 years and fell in love

    • @Simonstockton82
      @Simonstockton82  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @NickthaGeek there is less than a dozen here and they are all personal imports

      @NickthaGeek 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Simonstockton82 ah. Ok. Fair enough. So you imported it from the uk? Damn you. One less for us. 😆

    The missing tooth needs to line up with the sensor at 90° before tdc.

    • @Simonstockton82
      @Simonstockton82  ปีที่แล้ว

      not according to the instructions supplied with the kit, It says set the engine at TDC and line the trigger wheel up 9 teeth back from the missing tooth

    • @geofffletcher5739
      @geofffletcher5739 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Simonstockton82 that will be 90 btdc then 👍. You will have to check actual timing with a timing light once its running and compare to what the ecu is seeing.
      Trigger offset can be adjusted in the ecu

    • @Simonstockton82
      @Simonstockton82  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@geofffletcher5739 yes the sensor is 90 degrees away from the missing tooth if you look at like that

  • @robertmclennan4455

    Not being smart you have late style rs turbo block you already have a hole in the block for a crankshaft sensor all you needed to do was get an efi flywheel and crankshaft sensor

    • @Simonstockton82
