I’m looking for something different, but FreeTress Bohemian Curl will forever me my favorite curl pattern. It’s so natural looking. I personally like when curly crochet hair gets a few weeks old. It looks more natural to me.

I purchased the dream romance curl hair back in May in the colors 1b/30 and 1b/33 and the amount of compliments I've received is insane! The hair did come to the middle of my back (i'm 5'5") so I had to do some cutting but I love how low maintenance this hair is. It looks so natural that I don't want to take it out

I’ve tried Marley Jeri Curl hair from Amazon. And it last at least 2 to 3 months. You will have to keep the maintenance up in order to last and look realistic.

As mentioned in my previous comment, I have relaxed hair and getting Free Tress Water Wave installed this week on short bob hair, after not having any braids in 7 years. Looking for low maintenance styles to give my relaxed hair a break from daily manipulation and more length so that I can relearn how to install myself for more variety. You know my OG is freetress beach curl but I only wear crochet for a MAX of 3 wks usually 2, so I can care for my natural hair. I'm sure it could last for 3 months being no maintenance ☺️
Is there something specific you do to keep the hair maintained for so long? My always tangled after about 1 week.
I like those colors on you. I have the bohemian hair. The Soft Dread hair is my favorite. It was easiest to install and I got the most compliments wirh that hair. That Romance hair is looking like kinky curly bundles.

A video like this is greatly appreciated. I have a client who will leave her crochet in for months! For example, I installed toyotress twists 2/23, she just came back to get her hair done on 6/12 & STILL had them twists in.
But her hair has went from 2 inches long to mid back length, so I don't give her much fuss.
And yes, it looked horrible, but she had 6 inches of new growth... so idc. My goal with my clients is healthy hair, sometimes it doesn't look cute.
Wow my hair would be matted after 2 months. 6 maybe 7wks at that 8 wks I notice a few sections in the kitchen mats, not at the roots or ends 😫

Thanks for your videos which are very well done. I need too have my croquet in for three months. no longer, no earlier. So far, I have had not issues , I only wash it three times. I don't put too much oil on my scalp so my scalp doesn't smell. However, most times it's in a crunchy, and occasionally wear it following. I also, twice a week rake my fingers through it ☺️

Lia, thanks so much for your review of the different types of hair. I've found that any of the curly hair, I can never keep in longer than 4 weeks. I don't like the frizz and the matting up. Although, people are constantly telling how good it looks, but when I look in the mirror I see nothing that says pretty. Thanks for sharing with us.
Me too. Usually 3-4 weeks is my limit. I work with the matted hair by using Herbal Essence mousse which helps but to me it doesnt look good but I get compliments on it all the time so I guess it looks good on me. I guess the matting is underneath and people dont really see that.

@@LiaLavon Freetress Bohemian Braid did not do it for me. It became so tangly and matty afterwhile. It was beautiful though. Model Model Water Wave was IT though; lasted FOREVER. Like MONTHS. My new growth was crazy but I was so lazy that I just threw on a handband and it still looked good

Thanks for this video! I’m gonna make a crochet wig, tired of all the work it takes to install & uninstall. I cut my own hair once and it still hunts me to this day 😭
From my experience the model model brand is lower quality, the hair is usually coarser, rougher, duller & tangles more. Wouldn’t recommend at all. I avoid it at all costs 😂
Hi Lia! Have you or will you try the Ez Crochet hair by Spectra? I’ve been spoiled by the quality of your reviews so reviews from other TH-camr just aren’t cutting it for me lol. I was going to buy some of the Freetress hair for my first install but I discovered that it has a chemical warning. The Ez Crotchet hair fibers are supposed to be safer but the hair looks like it is not the best quality.
Also I love the blonde ombré on you! I have such a hard time finding a shade of blond that works with my skin tone and I just might have to give this color combination a try before giving up completely on blond.
I wanna try the island twist and the mini fro-cee twist. The color that I want is out of stock for the mini fro-cee twist.

Lulutress island twist is bomb if you know how to maintain it. Trim the frizz and it's perfect! I swam and snorkeled and kept it in for weeks afterwards.
Freetress’s Island Twist is a true ‘twist out’ look to me. It’s wild how these different brands interpret words. I find Lulutress’s version was too curly less ‘twisty’

How do you personally keep the hair from getting tangled?
I decided to go with the Harlem 125 Kemah soft dread but it’s not available in my color which is silver so I’m going to die the hair with acrylic ink. Do you have experience dying hair? If so can you make a quick video about the same?
