I have to agree. Baby hair is false looking and too Michael Jacksonish (even though we love us some Michael) just not a fan of baby hairs. I will be glad when that trend is OVER
Loving the illusion parting & natural hairline too. 😍 I kind of do the same with my hairline too. Hoping to try this with crochet / hair/ braids or twists in the future.
Also some people's hairlines can't be laid 🙋🏿♀️ and gel breaks their hair 🙋🏿♀️ again, Lol. I'm so happy 4b / 4c natural hairlines are becoming popular again.
This is the technique I use as well. Ppl swear its mine (even those who should know better). I don't do the baby hair. I feel it looks more natural without it. You did good.
I didn't have a lot of confidence in your technique when I saw that your braids were old but the finished product is amazing. Thanks for proving me wrong and you are very beautiful with or without make up.
This is probably the best crochet I've ever seen and it looked absolutely amazing without the baby hair! Thank you so much, I can't wait to rock this style!
Using two different wave patterns really creates an interesting look. Teasing the knots is a clever way to hide them. I like your natural brushed edges too. It’s a pretty way to give the delicate edges of your hair a break from the gels, waxes or other holding products. With or without make up, you look as pretty as Solonge Knowles🤗! I’ll be trying your technique at home. Thanks for sharing 🙏🏾
Yes using different curl patterns is how to get a natural look. I'm wearing 3 curl patterns and I've literally fooled everyone!!! When I tell people that it's crochet I se their mouths drop to the floor
Where👏🏽have👏🏽you👏🏽been👏🏽all👏🏽my👏🏽life!!!!!! I do my own hair also and I’m loving these tips!!! Never would have thought to do this!! Thank you for sharing gorgeous 💋💋
So I tried this exact crochet braid using your tutorial and it turned out so pretty, full yet not too heavy. However, I found that towards the middle of week 2, the hair was pretty matted. I had to cut/trim the hair practically every day to keep it looking sane and even then, I found I could only wear it one style to remain cute. It’s a shame because I try to keep my crochet hair in for 3-4 weeks. For those reading, if you want this hair to last longer, I suggest not splitting the hair into two pieces - just keep it whole. You might need more packs but the hair will probably last two weeks longer.
So true!! I have a love hate relationship with Lulutress Water Wave because it's natural looking, inexpensive but it's behaves so badly over time, especially when you split it😩
I agree right now I'm wearing multiple curl patterns. I have lulutress in the bac about 3 rows anD its my least favorite pattern. I split all the patterns snd the waterwave is the most tangled. Next time I'll use a different pattern along the nape and I won't split the watereave along the back of my head to prevent tangle. I like how it feels however the tangles are not the move.
I was scared at first, but this turned out bomb with the two textures and teasing. I'm glad I ran into this video because this is the most natural crochet I've ever seen. This look is on point and Imma have to jack it. Great tutorial 😍👍
Perfect! I've been looking for a crochet tutorial and yours is the best. I like my wigs and weaves to look as if they MIGHT actually be my hair, not that Shirley Temple ringlets look. This is exactly the look I've been looking for. Thank you!
You have a perfect widow peak which makes your whole hair looks absolutely realistic and fabulous. Your recommendation for using old braidsing before install is an idea I will try. Best crochet I've seen so far.
Thank you for this! I love my fluff and frizz, and can't lay my edges, so I actually love the lived-in look, and will start doing the illusion technique and invisible knots on older braids. Thank you so much for giving that beautiful tutorial.
This is my girl I’ve been watching you for almost 2 years and you always know how to make the hair pop. I still can’t braid but I’ll find someone to braid me up so I can try this
Hunnie you made me into a believer. I always seen the hair but nerve looked it up on youtube. I'm purchasing today. Beautiful results the hair look so natural 😍
@@Jessmoniquethomas I bought this hair and installed it. It looks amazing. So natural! Now I just have to get the cutting and shaping down. Would love for you to do a detailed video on how you shape your hair (for those of us who don't know what we're doing) ;)
Omg THANK YOU. I’ve been wanting to do this style and so many ppl advertise their videos as an illusion part but it’s still very obvious 😫 this looks so good thanks!
You are so beautiful. This tutorial was it for me because the crotchet method looks unnatural a lot of the time so I try to stay away from them but your technique is great! Thank you so much for this. Peace and blessings
So, I'm not even here for the video. It autoplayed as I was scrolling, and your smile is so beautiful! You looked so beautiful and happy and I just had to click. Anyway, have a wonderful day 😁 Update: now I'm here for the video. Great tips!
@@aduandyassin1520 lol you're right. What i really meant to say is, I didn't know how beautiful it really was till I saw it on someone else's head. Always struggling to get my hair detangled and going through hours of treatment to make it healthy sometimes makes you wonder if it's worth the effort... So yeah, I'm blessed to have it even if sometimes is hard to deal with
No SHADE... When you took the make-up off, my mouth dropped.. Your natural beauty is AMAZING!
#GETITGIRL!
Yeah she don't need no make up. Some people look better without makeup.
I agree!
Thanks. Appreciate ut
Who is you tellin!!! I wish I had skin like that😍
Yaaaaas, she is stunning!
I think that doing the crochet on cornrows that weren’t fresh, made it look even more natural. Great job!
Thanks Jo... valuable tip
Love the natural hairline, without the baby hairs.
I like to show both. I know people feel strongly about either way
I have to agree. Baby hair is false looking and too Michael Jacksonish (even though we love us some Michael) just not a fan of baby hairs. I will be glad when that trend is OVER

I do too. It look more authentic
Best technique I’ve seen hands down🙌🏿. Trying this next.
Glad it helped boo
Yes I agree
I'm going to try it as well! I'm always re-doing my braids but this is a better technique
This is the technique I use as well. Ppl swear its mine (even those who should know better). I don't do the baby hair. I feel it looks more natural without it. You did good.
Ma’am, you’re a genius. Period. This will be a good affordable look to try at uni. Thanks so much!!
Facts!
Glad it’s helpful hun!!!

Glad to know someone else washes their edges with a washcloth too. Love the style 😍
Yes ma’am. All the time
I do in protective styles.. Yess
This is probably the best crochet I've ever seen and it looked absolutely amazing without the baby hair! Thank you so much, I can't wait to rock this style!
Come throughhhh with the $20 crochet! This look is everything!

The Beauty of BLACK * NUBIAN * QUEEN Hair is Amazing. .Just like you said! Great Video!!!!!!!!
Girl I love how it blends in with your hair line , girl this is so natural
This seems so much easier than trying to hide lace.
I’ve been watching n doing crotchet braids over 10yrs n this by far is the BEST crotchet I’ve ever seen. GORREERRGEOOOOOUS!!!!!!!

Once you cut that hair it looked like it grew out your head sis. So beautiful

Finally, a tutorial that isn’t complicated. You are gorgeous, thank you!!!
Doing it on old braids makes so much sense!!! And then this technique is brilliant!!!
