    Poles of Mars are quite a place, cold and rough, and interestingly the only polar caps besides Earth in the solar system.

    2:23 What temperature do you say the summer is at this time? I can't understand it and I've listened a few times. Still can't make it out. It sounds like you say "...temperatures in the summer are still at around minus Celsius." Minus *what* Celsius?

    • @LordDamianus
      @LordDamianus 6 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      ScienceIsTruth Mars is special on its own. Its barren landscape and climate is fascinating enough. There's no need to change it. Humans will stay on Earth - their true home. If humans, by some odd miracle, managed to suceed conquring the Red Planet, to who do you think it's gonna belong? US? China? Haha. Do you really think that we will become one country?

    • @zalphero618
      @zalphero618 6 ปีที่แล้ว +23

      Humans will colonize space. We are explorers. Haven't you heard the phrase "space is the final frontier". When Mars colony become self sustainable, they would eventuallg declare themselves independent.

    How can poles be of different sizes on the same planet?

    • @malcolmabram2957
      @malcolmabram2957 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Mars has a much more eplitical orbit than the Earth, and is further from this Sun during the winter and spring in the Northern Hemisphere. The season is longer as it gets It gets more precipitation. The south Pole is colder due to much higher latitude, and gets less precipitation because of this.

    Why is Mar's north pole that much lower than the south pole? And how is the altitude on Mars determined? So if there was water on Mars, the north pole would've been covered by an ocean and south pole high and dry? Just like earth haha. Keep up the good work, Drekster (sic)! A reply to my questions would be nice :)

    I think as a living place Titan is more promising than Mars. As it has a magnetic field, only thing that we need to do to terraform Titan is somehow warm it up and let the ice melt then we will have a beautiful 2nd home. We can also look into Venus. It will not only be a beautiful floating home but also we can get a lot of resources....
