It’s my pleasure brother, I think a lot of people believe they imagined XRA Ahaha.
Thank you for making me realize I am not alone in my love of this show.
You are definitely not alone brother, there’s so many people that truly love this show!
3:04 man 😂😂 did he jump and push the lady out the way of NOTHING when she was already on the sidewalk, not nowhere near the incoming jeep yet he dove to push her out the way and got up looking like he wanted a congratulations and a thank you like he saved her life or something 😂😂
Yes he did ahaha and it perfectly represents the impact Xavier believes he has vs his actual impact
@@harryfromends Right! 😂 And you did a excellent job of translating that scene and essence of the show in your essay! I would sub but I already did that after the Conway Video 😂
Anyone else remember the vote for proposition 1231 during the blood cowboy and Indian episode
Vote yes! 🗳️
@harryfromends that has bothered me for years lol me and 10 of my friends watched it when the blood cowboys and Indian episode first came out and only 2 of us remembered the extra 2 or 3 minutes there was video from a bunny slaughter house and mixed in was like a vote for me screen put the speech and words said vote proposition 1231 do your part to keep us safe lmao also something about something would happen been so long I can't remember the whole phrase but makes me wonder was I Brainwashed or was everyone else....... I have watched videos of the episode since but only happened the night it first released so you tell me
I have it on DVD. What you didn't mention, is that Xavier is a PFFFR product, same as Wondershowzen, Delocated, The Heart, She Hollers, and Neon Joe. I just wish they all were available on DVD/blu ray.
I love PFFR, it’s just a lot of people have previously mentioned this in XRA vids & I wanted my vid to be a breakdown purely of the show. Also I love Wonder Showzen!
Show was so weird, I labeled it “ass” by default 😂
XRA is esoteric kino for true patricians. 🐍☸️
This is an incredibly apt way to describe XRA!
Why don’t you have more subscribers??
your videos are fantastic!
Thank you! And one day my good sir, one day
One of the best shows, i still quote this show to this day.
XRA is definitely up there with the most quotable shows, most likely because it has about 50 brilliant quotes in every episode Ahah
anything pffr does is so top tier
Agreed! Wonder Showzen is also elite
Like you said XRA was like a fever dream. I remember watching it but it was so vague in concept. I watched anyway it was loose and widely erratic if you missed a few episodes. Overall it was a show that came on that was eerily amusing and crazy to watch. Enough to love and enough to say it was ok. I didn't hate it. It also wasn't my favorite but I'd watch it cause it was enough to rattle my brain at the time.
The thing I love about XRA in relation to audience reaction is that everyone has a wildly different opinion on how XRA made them feel, but most people agree that the show at least presents some value and/or they enjoyed some bits of the show!
This was one of my favorite shows of all time. I was obsessed with it. I would take psychedelics and watch it like a well rounded member of society.
What was that experience like?
@@harryfromends well I remember laughing so hard I almost couldn’t breath or catch my breath. The weird twisted philosophical humor and stupidness of tht show it just messed me up. Lol. That show is brilliant. There’s a few others that are kinda on that level too. Wondershowzen was another we used to trip and watch Andy milonakus show. Lol a few other adult swim ones were pretty brilliant or maybe that’s not the word for it but lol
Thats amazing, great essay! I hate that I saw this show on tv but never actually watched it, i dont remember maybe i judged it by its looks and now im pretty disappointed i missed out, definitely gonna try to watch it this week if i can find it
Thank you very much! And honestly XRA is worth the worth, let me know how you get on
you should post the christmas song as its own video. i need to put that in a playlist
"ITS BEGINNING TO LOOK LIKE YOU'VE BEEN CANCELLED" what a banger
❤️💎
I watched this show the other day while on shrooms, shit was weirder than normal
That must’ve been an extraordinary trip 🫠
It was, though near the end it got very scary, specifically the last 2 episodes
PFFR is god. I got into them with Wondershowzen on MTV, and got into all their older music projects from there.
Such an incredible team & they’ve made loads of 10/10 shows!
I remember I used to be tripping on acid watching adult swim when I was like 16 and this show would come on at like 4 am. It was always awesome
I can only imagine how truly life altering that must be ahaha!
If there’s one thing I know about Vernon Chatman and John Lee’s style, it would totally be the wordplay
The wordplay is absolutely on another level, I would love to see towelie go on an XRA type monologue after taking acid as a nod to the show
I also wouldn’t forget about their modern humor out of context too!
It's so damn good I ended up getting a tattoo for it and I'm still rewatching it years later
I couldn't watch it in it's original run because it legitimately freaked me out, but this convinced me to give it another shot!
XRA is 100% worth watching, the last episode freaked me out quite a bit, but even then it’s still tremendous
Okay , so I'm not alone 😂 . This ish is making my skin crawl
Too weird? Or just right. I love that show, it's tight.
My first taste of XRA was the "What do you call these wind monkeys?" clip. I was today years old when I realized that that clip was from an actual show and not a stupid meme.
I was partying a lot back in 2007 - 2009, but I vividly remember how funny this show is. Classic
Take that, take that, take take take that, taste the pain.

@@harryfromends lolol
trully a work of art that gives profound insights that leaves the viewer pondering long after the show ends
5:01 dude I don’t think it’s that deep, it feels more like an artistic choice to make the show weirder. Also cheaper.
So lucky to have seen this when it aired
That must’ve been such a trip tuning in and seeing Xavier for the first time ahah

Aside from The Heart, She Holler (which got a 3rd season) every other Pffr series is plagued by the 2 season curse. I'm still holding out hope that a 3rd season of The Shivering Truth is announced.
😂 I often look at people pages to see if I wanna watch a video when I don't recognize their names. I just noticed you're the same guy that did the family guy thing last week. I literally said "oh he's Conway Twitty" 😂 I'm pondering if I wanna turn that into a running gag here or not 😂
Hopefully there will be lots more moments in the future that spring to mind ahaha
Fun Fact: The computer (funny wig guy) is played by John Flansburgh from They Might Be Giants!! If you’ve never heard of they might be giants they’re a cult band that has had a few popular hits (Istanbul not Constantinople, Birdhouse In Your Soul, Stuff Is Way, Hot Dog and more probably) but they aren’t widely known to the public…TMBG also cameoed in Home Movies :D
THE CANCELLED SONG IS AMAZING YOU ARE AN AMAZING SINGER
XRA got it's start in a little show called "Wonder Showzen".
As he-bro, a much more toned done version of what XRA would become but still a genius sketch!
Even though Xavier has a high ego, he isn't inherently selfish; and, at least in his own mind, genuineley believes that he is helping the people around him. I think this makes it a bit easier to like him and is actually what makes his character so interesting/funny.
I managed to catch Xavier when it was in its first run. you do not understand how happy I am that there's finally a fanbase for their show
i honeslty understand 12 oz Mouse more than Zavier.
My favorite show of all time i desperately long for behind the scenes material like what the storyboards or script they send to animators looks like.
Each episode was a tight, well executed creation.

I’m old… I remember watching and living XRA and Delocated so much when they were on.
I've been seeing clips of this show on Instagram for, I honestly thought it was some freaky experiment colleges students made while on every drug possible.
"We could be the Beauty and the Beast. So what do you say? Will you be my, beast?"
I wish I could have that confidence.
loved it as a teen when it came out and i have the entire series on dvd
What’s XRA like on DVD? Does it have commentary from the showrunners?
This was one of the best shows....
Watching more than once helps understand, it's deeper than what you get by just watching, it requires thought, or even effort. Whether on purpose or by accident, this show deals with the insanity of life in a way that's colorful and cryptic.
And robot chicken stayed lmao
