This track and the whole flashback that we see Honhenheim go through is always so touching. He kind of reminds me of the main character from the movie "Unforgiven" in that you only get a very broad shape of the relationship and mostly see how profoundly it changed him after the fact.

The writing for this show was spot on.

True, plus I love how different the theme goes by the end of the 2003 version, unlike Brotherhood that uses the same songs over and over again.
