Fans get on the team about signing Rodon, but that free agency, there were three ace level pitchers who were available. Rodon, Scherzer and Verlander. If the Yankees signed any of them they would get injury and underperformance. If they signed none of them, there's no way the fan base would have been okay. Damned if they did, and damned if they didn't.
Also, the other two were much older and Variances was coming off his second TJ surgery. Signing Rodon was the only move at the time that made sense. Unfortunately he got hurt again and pitched horribly too often. He has been very good the last month though, so hopefully he can jeep that up.

Its kinda like a lot of the moves they've made since 2018. Looks great at the time, and usually is praised, but often times have worked out very poorly. Idk if it's just bad luck, or if the team sucks at helping players get past their struggles

As an old catcher(tools of ignorance is what we used to call the equipment) I’m a big fan of Chisholm but I see my white sox beat up on the yanks (I know they suck but I’m a cubs fan so I’m used to disappointment) but I think Chisholm just hurt is left elbow or shoulder or something on that slide at the plate.

He's just an average player he has some speed and Power and is really an outfielder he doesn't look that good in the infield how many strikes out a lot but then again that's Modern Baseball I think he has a long swing if could learn to shorten it and go the other way it could be very dangerous with his base running

And... now he's best case out for several weeks, worst case needs surgery and will miss a good chunk of next year. And our two relievers we acquired suck as much as the ones we got rid of, so... we basically did NOTHING at the trade deadline. Several players we really needed were traded in deals we probably could have made. But... Cashman sucks. He can only really close one good deal a year and he already Soto (which is only a good deal if we do well enough that it entices Soto to sign next year).
