I think I'm just going to have to go into oils, I just can't seem to get that smoothness and transition with acrylics. Of course, maybe my inexperience showing-could be someone with 15+ yrs could do it. But, as always, thank you Michael for sharing your techniques and wisdom. Always inspiring.

Thanks for sharing your technique again. Your video shows well the brush strokes. It would be nice if you can explain a little more the colors you use in each step. One simple question again, what color did you use for the ripples? Looking forward to your next video.

Wonderful painting, and very helpful advice. One question, though: How do you keep your paint "open" for such a long time? My acrylic paintings dry so quickly, I didn't know it was possible to do wet-on-wet.
I'm sorry. I realized that you were using oils after I had made my comment. I'm a true beginner as a visual art hobbyist, as if my silly comment wasn't enough proof, and most of the time I am baffled by the techniques that you real artists display so easily. I didn't know it was possible to delete my comment, or I would have (to save myself some embarrassment). I do though really admire your painting technique as well as your easy-going, and informative teaching style.
