Agree with you 100%, the Silver Fern and Black is awful, ANZ has lost the plot! I cant think of any other airline with two "symbols" (Fern + Koru) on their aircraft? Qantas doesn't have Skippy and a can of XXXX Beer on their aircraft!
Those were the days when air new Zealand operated wide bodies out of Christchurch now there`s nothing. They all operate out of Auckland. Much better livery to better than today's ghastly black and white.
I have to agree. I was born in the mid- seventies and I can remember the Red/Orange hybrid livery after the merger of Air New Zealand and NAC and then the change over to the Teal and blue of Air New Zealand from the mid 80's to mid-90's. I prefer that livery to what it is now.

I dont know why everything that represents New Zealand HAS to be black? When did that become the default colour of NZ?
