Let a guy like Nolan Gorman hit in the derby who cares if he isnt a all star
Jhonkensy Noel would be fun to watch.
The sport would be a million times better if they implemented a better revenue sharing system and salary floor. The luxury tax is as good as a cap. All the money teams spend over go to the poorer teams anyways. It's really just about improving the revenue sharing and ensuring teams spend that money like the NFL does.
people who dont play mlb are complaining they dont get to see there favorite entertainers dance around the bases or flipping a bat. Just pick the players having the best season for the all star game, thats what it is all about.
Easy fix for the Homerun derby. Winner gets $1 million dollars.. No way some players opt out of doing then.. Plus lets have Legends Home-run derby. Griffey Jr, Sosa, Adam Dunn etc...
The Cardinals GM will make some trades. His tenure is about over.

The Cardinals are aggravating this 66 year fan more than ever. Every time I think they are going to shake the malaise, they fail. Miserably. My fear is that their negative run differential is who they really are.

@@williamshelley1533 They don't have to satiate your appetite. Belting a 90+ mph fastball to dead center is a skill set. Guys who rack up 20+ homers have power. Again, a skill set. I played ball. I was an on base cat. I didn't have power. I was more like Ichiru Suzuki. Just get on base.

Make a rule: the top four HR leaders in each league MUST participate in the HR derby, unless they are on the INJURED LIST. No excuses except being on the INJURED LIST This stops this BS of who's deserving or not. Screw the player's union objecting to this, and screw the teams worrying about protecting players from potential injuries

Just get rid of the Home Run Derby. Nobody watches or cares anymore. It's the same as the Slam Dunk contest at NBA all-star game. They were fresh and new for a couple of years but have long since been unwatchable.
