- Andrew, Kenny, Shona and Stevie give their immediate reaction to the Chairman's statement, then reflect on our final pre-season game before the real stuff starts.
I’m glad Stevie was right about interpreting what PC said about things not being what he believed when he arrived. The board didn’t lie to him and after having a look under the bonnet he realised the rebuild is a lot bigger than he thought and probably the board thought. Well done Stevie, I trust you guys when there’s a sea of bad information and panic. You also said as I thought also we all wanted a complete overhaul, we wanted everyone changed out barring maybe Butland and Sterling and it looks like that’s what’s happening although it will take time. Could be next season before we see the fruits of it and need to write this season off such has the repetitive damage done over seasons. I’m glad they are all aligned and PC is all in with his team because Koppens signings have looked good so far. The best thing about PC is he sees what we see despite what he says. He talked up the team last season after terrible displays and got stuck in the press saying he’s like Caixinha but he knew he had to try and build their fragile confidence up meanwhile telling the board they all had to go. He talked up Lammers then got him out the door at the first opportunity. We all wanted Goldson dropped but knew it would never happen but he saw it and did it. We wanted Butland captain and by the looks of it he will be. I was sick to death of watching this same team and wanted a complete new team to watch and he’s seen this too. He sees what we see, he’s the first manager to do so and I’m glad he’s staying to do it. Hopefully we look like a PSV, Ajax type team playing good football and selling players for 8 figures to the prem etc in 3 years. We need to have the patience. I only value what you guys and CJNovo says.
He had 3 weeks to prepare for this interview with pre prepared question and still managed to spent 22 minutes giving a word salad.
Thought it was absolute pish mate. Told us absolutely nothing and this "aspiring" to be in for September, which he said about 4 or 5 times is an absolute red flag that he knows there is no chance of us being back at Ibrox by then.

Bennett was not the chairman until recently so we have to give him the benefit of the doubt. He did sanction the Beale appointment in collusion with the ex ceo. So that is a big negative on his report card. He has to get the next ceo right. We cannot keep changing managers like it is a merry -go- round. And the 10 mill financial hole is worrying considering we play in a small league and we get small change .
We are sitting in hope, but let's be honest here - how many of us expect them to have this ready for October.
Thank god Kenny's on this channel to keep the other two board member defenders in check

Am a welder and had to jobs with metal short till its came bak in stock so no his fault but dont start work till everything there then they could done both stands mext season
Any contract negotiations I have been involved in there have always been penalties written into any contracts where there is an end date for completion. If that date is missed , there are financial penalties if a date is missed. Therefore I do not understand why this move costs us money as the foreign company we are dealing with should be liable for failing to meet the agreed date.
That's what I was thinking at the start and I was pissed but not to pissed. But it seems as if nothing like this was in place, despite it being the basic of any work contract.

The problem with Bennett’s interview is that it’s done by the club tv and he should be fronting up to fan media and the normal press also and at that point I’m sure there would be more in depth questioning. All interviews coming through RTV only, only means the questions are pre agreed so getting out a message rather than answering questions fans want to know.
Instead of reassuring us players are coming, he then talk about the money we’ve already spent and I don’t know why more people aren’t saying the thing that I noticed because I was waiting for him to talk about, the transfer plans going forward, his answer was mostly based on trading model and that they have spent 11.5 million! The 11.5 million was spent on projects for the future though and it kind of sounded like he’s saying that so we know why at the end of the window, there is going to be a reality that we have brought no one into the club to improve us when we are all expecting signings. In short justifying a really bad window. This interview was pre planned for this time but so was the cut off for registering new players for the champions league qualifying rounds! Our squad has become weaker and weaker and weaker over the last 3 years and I could see right thru that interview I know what he’s doing. Basically it’s a make do job this season.

No kit, ball or even a stadium. We need more players, agree that is the priority. Centre-back, an experienced midfielder, a couple of front players, if Tav offski then right back also.
He clearly said he couldn’t give a definitive time due to the uncertainty of delivery. If he gave a date - and the shipment slipped again there would be murder…. His comment was fine it just could have been 3 weeks ago.

Delays happen ..deal with it !! Losing sight that work is for our disabled fans .. getting enough grief from Rangers haters without our fans weighing into them , am sure disabled fans are willing to wait little bit longer as they appreciate the work being done for them !!!

All the vacancies are a result of appointments made by Bennett. This mans background is private equity (read: old fashioned asset stripper). Not sure what people don’t understand this man is not good for our club.

Somebody screwed up the steel on our side and created a disaster scenario. To be fair to Bennett sorting things out in the timeframe he had deserves some credit. A couple of years ago Bennet was talking about 4 pillars to build success on. Again, to be fair, 3 of them are sound. Supporter revenue is excellent, Commercial revenue is above targets and growing, European success is very good, at least in performances if not the competition we want to be in. But player trading is crap. When we turn down big bids for players like Alfie and Ryan Kent it doesn't help. And with the benefit of hindsight had we accepted those bids I don't think on pitch performances would have fallen short. What is a concern to me is this quote from Sep 22 "On their travels, Rangers have no discernible style of play, and their inability to defend set-plays raises questions regarding the competency of the coaching. An aspect behind the current malaise is a lack of freshness in the starting XI - and the weary old guard is beginning to wilt under a burden that never seems to ease". This could have been written yesterday. Have we really made no progress on the pitch for almost two years??

Fans have cried out for change and to get rid of half the team and now wondering why we look so poor. Need to have some patience now and trust clement because he's some amount of work to do to get us back to where we belong

The player trading model should have started with morelos But previous chairman wasn't strong enough to tell Gerrard were selling. But that came back to bite Gerrard and most importantly it s set. Hand picked questions by this incompetent board, who as I have said will continue to accept second best as long as the money has come in , not once did john Bennett mention winning trophies etc , this board need removed and fast and to sit there and lie and say clement is happy with the transfer strategy is blatant lies , they need removed asap.
The biggest mistake of John bennets tenure by far has been giving James bisgrove the keys to the place and letting him do what he wanted as CEO. A common theme with this board is trusting out and out bluffers to run major parts of the club. Ross wilson has reaped havok with the football department and bisgrove has ripped the heart and soul out of the business side, realised he was out his depth and worked his ticket blagging his way into another role, the same as wilson. These guys are parasites to the game, and now rangers will spend years picking up the pieces from these two. The chairman will be shocked at what he finds under the bonnet after the two bluffers have caused chaos within the club. Shona talking up bisgrove taking responsibility for things is laughable, extremely clever, the first thing he done when he stepped in as CEO was to pander to the most vocal part of the Rangers support, that way nobody with any real voice would question anything he done. The simple fact is, behind the scenes he has caused chaos, then worked his ticket, the sooner rangers football club is rid of these charlatans the better. Bennett biggest job now, is finally installing the right people in these key positions

I mean that a lot of mornings you can’t get signed in to your podcast slot on rangers review on time. You should hold your self to the same standards. You say you get it when mistakes are made but yesterday’s show was just a winge fest and did not take the full context of the situation rangers are in.
I really enjoy your show and the I can see the effort that you and some others give with stats etc, but sometimes it’s all about peoples opinions and feelings and there is no context brought to this.
I can’t get signed in to Rangers Review on time? Yet after 3 years I’m still there & employed? You think maybe if that was really the case I wouldn’t be? Absolute nonsense you are talking I’m afraid 😂 Feel free to disagree with the podcast & the points, that’s your right, if you didn’t enjoy the points made & feel the opposite that’s no issue either. But if you are trying to dig me up on something at least make it make sense
@@fourladshadadream I’m sorry for the perceived attack and I shouldn’t have started with that. the point is you seem to have very high standards when talking about rangers business and on the park activities. But when it comes to your own actions and journalism you don’t seem to hold your self to the same standards. That might seem a bit harsh but it’s hard to focus on the positives and All you did in this last podcast is fuel moaning and wining. Yes the stadium is late, but the guy tried to explain how much work has gone in to get to where they are on the recovery plan. And all you can do is say you need to know more and that it’s not good enough. I get that some fans are not going to be happy but you need to give a balance view of this. The guy can’t name names, someone has been sacked and they need to move on a solve the problem and not keep going over the hot coals. Another example! your opinion on player trading again is the same stuff that everyone spouts and I’m sure you understand that there’s not many clubs that can make money on players. So it’s not easy to do, but you talk about it as if it’s simple. I could criticise your whole team everyday but I don’t and genuinely think you all do a good job on the whole.
We need to back this new group of managers to deliver, young talent with a sprinkle of ready made players. And hope and pray that the gods are on our side.
Tbh most of those players that Beale brought in I’m sure you where pretty positive about him and at least most of those players but all we here is through away comments with no context about what has gone wrong, They haven’t all worked but we have to move on, but if they can’t sell them we may need to play with them. You don’t seem to mention that.

2. We are on a deficit
3. Are fans and media hammer 🔨 players after a very short period and actual help the lowering of their value. ( the player is responsible for his own performance) be we don’t help ourselves.
I just think we should be more measured and professional about how we speak about players and staff. What you said about Tom Lawrence the other day was ridicules him and then he goes and scores two goals. Why not say that he needs to prove he worth for a year’s extension?
4. It’s not easy to get good players to come to Scotland.
5. It’s not easy to get rid of players who are not in form to go for good money and good wages to cover the deals they are currently at.
But you make it sound simple and it’s not.
We are going to need people like you more than ever this year to help keep people’s feet on the ground. And I fear if we have a poor start this year and fans get on the players backs.

I laugh at you type of people, absolutely no idea what it actually requires to run a business like a football club, we are talking 10s of millions a year, nobody on any youtube podcast could do the job mate, leave it to the professionals.
