- Bachelor in Paradise is now only one night a week and in Week 8 the tribe has set their sights on Brendan and Pieper. So will Brendan and Pieper stay another week or leave together? Serena’s happily surprised “really?!” when Joe said he was falling for her too was seriously the sweetest most genuine reaction and I love that relationships like her and Joe’s can still exist on this show even with all the crazy preplanned relationships and meetups before paradise, the social media clout chasers, and the meddling producers. I still don’t know how the producers haven’t caught onto the fact that THIS is the main reason why we watch the show at the end of the day. While drama and funny moments are always a part of a good season, it’s only when they’re subplots of the main romance storyline that it works-NOT the other way around.
That was my favorite bit from the trailer and had hoped it wasn't edited together!!

I’m glad that Piper’s masters degree in Marketing made her aware enough to pick up on Brendan’s hints on their first one on one date where he was practically speaking in code and telling her to stop talking. They would have gotten away with it too and fooled many of us if she wouldn’t have kept asking Brendan questions about their relationship prior to coming on BIP which eventually exposed their real personalities.
That's why she has lost less followers, because he just kept running his mouth. It's going to be real funny when they come back home and get their phones back and see the real damage!

Aside from Brendan being a jerk he’s also really creepy. Totally calculates every response he gives, like everything seems preplanned & he has those wide serial killer eyes.
On a happier note, totally digging Joe & Serena and they seem really happy together which is awesome

Brenden stole this experience from 2 people- Natasha and Dr Joe. This sucks because this ruined Dr Joe’s and Natasha’s date, they had a fun connection. I hope Dr Joe watches this and realizes what a douche his boy is.

This!! I was so sad that they're date was ruined! I dont blame dr.Joe or Riley for being friends with Brendan. They were together a long time on their double season. And due to covid the guys spent a long time together, bonded and were vulnerable more than sny other season.
Doctor Joe should never came he is not ready for Romance, he is so hang up on Bromance!!! If he really wanted a relationship with Natasha, he could have simply said, "I do not know what happened with you and Brendan but that is history and l really want to get to know you better!!!!

The way Brendan spoke to and about the women, especially the women of color, was gross.
Notice how he didn’t mention Demi, who also isn’t talking to anyone, as not being pursued by anyone but he kept saying it about Natasha & Deandra. Also he could have used Demi instead of Natasha, she threw herself at him but it’s almost like he didn’t want to use her but had no problem using Natasha.

The way it was edited w/ natasha and dr. joe felt a little off. It may have been how they cut things together, but it just felt "too perfect" in terms of natasha getting a second chance only for it to be brendan's best friend. Seemed calculated to me.

I actually don't see how he's superficially attractive anyway... not even a little bit, he just must not be my type I guess, but I find it weird people act like everyone can obviously see it. Even superficially when I thought he was a nice guy I thought he was pretty ugly, but never said so because a good personality can win me over... I was shocked when I found out he models. I still don't get it.
It's interesting that Riley went way harder and more aggressive at Chris and Alana but Joe got most of the blowback for that incident. Now Joe is also standing up to Brendan, so Joe is at least showing consistency of character. I don't agree with everything he did, but at least he's consistent.
Not to excuse anyone, but Chris showing up with Alana was more public and evident whereas Brendan's manipulation was more hidden and less noticeable for the others (except for Natasha and Demi), so an immediate reaction was more likely in the first situation.

Part of it is that Joe and Natasha are actually real life friends and it’s weird that he went so hard for Jessenia and didnt give af about his “good friend”
To be fair to Dr. Joe, he didn't know exactly what went down on the beach before he arrived, and therefore he didn't know the severity of it all AND the fact that Brendan was straight up being nasty with his remarks, openly said he was there for fame/followers, and that Natasha had zero prospects. So we can't exactly cancel him for being stunned by her accusations of his friend, since he would've been seeing a completely different side of Brendan, and he had only now met Natasha. I'm sure now, after seeing it all play out on TV, that he's come to a different realisation.
Anyways, I hope they rekindle something outside of paradise, because they seems so great for each other 😭😭

Natasha had said that some of Brendan’s friends reached out to her after the previous episode when it was revealed that Brendan said awful things about her. My guesses would be Dr Joe and Ivan that reached out to her

Key component of a manipulator/abuser is they’re extremely charming and friendly with others. So when things pop off, the gaslighting stops working and the victim catches on and tells others… everyone’s at a loss of words and are in disbelief.

I am actually glad that Brendan and Pieper both got a taste of their own medicine for what they did to Natasha. Glad to see that Demi stepped up to the plate to go after them along with Deandra and Maurissa. But the best part of the episode was when Natasha got a second chance to find love.

It’s understandable why Doctor Joe was uncomfortable. He didn’t know all the details, only saw one side of Brendan, and like how do you peruse a relationship after that without it getting in the way? Because how comfortable does Natasha feel? How comfortable would Brendan feel? All the uncertainty is probably what made him uncomfortable and confused. But they both really deserves someone so it’s just a real bummer that Brendan had to get in the way of their connection.

@@MD-uz6nc I think it’s just simply him telling the truth. He loves him, probably sees him as a little brother, and Brendan apparently talked about him all the time. Joe called him “my Brendan”. I mean it’s not surprising, in fact we all pretty much thought Brendan was a peach till this stuff went down. You don’t know until you know. And Doctor Joe didn’t have all the details, and Brendan wasn’t there for him to confront about it. So he was just being straight forward: he loves Brendan, but he also made it clear Natasha is a gem and didn’t deserve what happened to her. But clearly it was too uncomfortable for him to go forward. He never dismissed her, which I respect. However Natasha has said that some of Brendan’s friends have reached out to her after seeing the show and what he said to her, so I wouldn’t be surprised if he is one of them.

You said you can get down with the bachelor's decision to keep Natasha around, but it was only to keep her around for Joe to take her on a date (you know they talked him into choosing her) and it's no coincidence that him and Brendan are BFFs. The producers knew this and knew it would cause more drama at Natasha's expense. Everything is calculated and they have no one's best interest at heart.

That's why I wouldn't put up with these shows, the producers are about drama not actually helping people find relationships.
That’s probably somewhat true. Same reason why they wouldn’t just have Pieper and Brendan show up day one together. Although I do think Joe was genuinely interested in her, but they likely nudged him in that direction since she’s the only one without a guy already. Which sucks, because that is again manipulating both their chances. People show up on this show at a certain time for a certain reason not based on their own best interests, but the best interests of the producers and their agenda.
What I thought right after they reminded us Dr. Joe and Brendan are friends.
At least when Demi did it she was honest about her feelings the whole way through (even to Derek) and super remorseful and considerate about how she made people feel. Meanwhile Brendan...

I want them to work out, but I just don’t know. Hopefully age is just a number? Serena just seems like she has a lot of growing up to do. She’s only 23 and Joe is probably ready for kids and marriage as he inches closer to 40. It’s kind of unrealistic to think they’ll last. She has a lot more life to experience. But I hope I’m wrong.

Yeah, he seems like a good guy, but he needs to make more efforts, be bold, plan something romantic. He seems to be just cruising along.
Actually, no one has any real idea what his “effort level” has been. There’s lots of footage we haven’t seen. He was very invested in Jessenia, and she burned him for Chris. He pursues Kendall, then she basically says “don’t touch me” to him. Then think back to before this show when Tayshia dissed him too. Maybe he’s just a defeated guy after all this stuff. It’s hard to put in “effort” when you’ve been shit on so many times. Cut the guy some slack.
It would have been interesting to see Ivan lead Kendall away from having to see Joe and Serena's lovefest. It may have been edited to look like they could see it, but if you can read a room, you would know to find a new location and talk to the lady you are supposedly interested in. idk, all I was thinking was "why are you sitting there watching them? go somewhere else."

I'm sure it's already been pointed out, but I cannot get over how stark of a contrast there is in terms of Serena with Matt vs. Serena with Joe. With Matt she was pretty reserved with some awkward interactions, and obviously just not into it. But damn, with Joe she is so giddy and straight up smitten!! I love them together, and really hope they can be a long lasting Bach couple.

I am dissappointed for Natasha with Dr. Joe. It would have made the date uncomfortable when it came out that Dr. Joe considers Brendan a friend and sabotaged a chance for a relationship to develop.
That Brendan Pieper exit was so infuriating and underwhelming...they didn't get the wrath that Chris and Alana got. And the fact that Joe was the ONLY man to confront the situation??? Don't get me started 😡 But I'm glad they're gone and hope they lost more followers lol

The difference is also that everyone at that party saw Chris just leave Jessenia and go for Alana. Much of Brendan's conversations with Pieper were not heard by the others and his ITM interviews would have only been heard by production until it aired. Had people actually heard what he and Pieper were saying, I think they would have been gone before Chris and Alana.
I think a LOT of the cast was probably just as shocked by what Brendan said and did when it aired as we were watching it. Hopefully Dr. Joe has now realized that Brendan isn't a good guy.

And with Natasha it was clear she was only a placeholder until Pieper arrived. And yes, if Dr. Joe hasn’t seen his true colors yet it is only a matter of time.
