    FYI for College Fans on the Full Ride Scholarship train.....the scholarships are privately funded through several athletics/alumni organizations. In fact, at the largest D1 institutions, the entire athletics department is privately funded. The scholarships are neither state nor federally funded. Only the department employee's salaries are paid with state funds if the school is public.

Manning hasnt really proven anything other than he gets a bunch of kids screaming. Ewers needs to take the 6M, run and do well on the next level. Do these guys not realize that what they are talking about is illegal & what hit the NCAA in trouble to begin with. The ONLY way you can set up any rules pertaining to salary & many of the other things they are talking about is for the players to have representation in the form of a union & have that collectively bargained otherwise it’s an antitrust violation.

    • @davesnothere8859
      @davesnothere8859 หลายเดือนก่อน

      exactly. And they can't make the players form union. The players have to decide on the union and each school would need to decide on there own. Each state has different laws on unions too. The old NCAA system was found unconstitutional. This is what the media, which is shocking because Rob claims to be a reporter, don't get. The old system cannot be brought back or any kind of regulation because players can now make money off of their likeness. The only thing the NCAA can do is change the transfer portal, but I have a feeling if that happens it's going to open another c an of worms where that's going to get challenged as well.

He said he was glad that Pat Riley shut down the reported Jimmy Butler trade request. Don’t the teams sign contracts with the players.? If you feel the players should honor the contract they sign, then shouldn’t the team honor it as well? Or it’s ok to trade them before the contract is up but they can’t request a trade🤷🏽‍♂️

      Agreed. I don't have a team in the CFP. I do not agree with this approach if it's true, but as a B1G guy, I think it should get interesting.
      I learned to stop counting Texas out. Their ability to win somehow, with AM and Vandy, then Clemson and ASU, is shocking. As a retired fighter, no real men care about sloppy stats ( you know, " Moral Victories").... Ac win is a win. And somehow they win. Stats don't matter = does anybody care that Quinn Ewers had "so many more passing yards " than Georgia in the SEC Champ Game? No. Because they can't kick a field goal to save themselves and win the SEC in their first year. Instead, we ALL remember that UGA won. If Texas wins it all now, lots of people will need therapy. AND UT will be relieved. If they lose, it's almost like they're just waiting for next year. It's weird.
