When installing the gaskets, how do we determine which side should be facing up or does it not matter at all, since they don't look identical on both sides?
@@RBTheMechanic They do align up properly whichever way they are installed, but they just don't look identical on both sides, so that's why I was wondering.
@@RBTheMechanic @RB The Mechanic If there is a little bit of water dripping out of the flange where the catalytic converter is connected to, is that a bad thing? Also, I'm considering to replace the resonator on my car. It appears I have the option to replace it with a silencer assembly or a resonator assembly. What is the difference and which one do you recommend, and is there an advantage to one over the other?
@@Zeberka767 silencer is good and about the water leak .. wat is good sign but the leak it might not be sealed propperly use the black sealer it will lock it up
I picked up a 00 es300 in January $500 check engine light on after codes I had to change out bank 1 and bank 2 cats. It had misfires and that was a long process. Injectors x6 and ignition coils x6 along with plugs. Yah it was confusing I went to eBay ordered the 2 pipes cause bank 1 side starts below rear exhaust manifold then it disconnects then goes under then wraps a U to run parallel with exhaust leading to bank 2. Cat off bank 2 was lose inside its container. The first set of cats didn’t fit was pist off. Then ordered from Bosal perfect fit. I usually order from them but was trying to save a buck u know how that goes. I was lucky I didn’t have any rusted stuck nuts on the studs. Used PB blaster let it soak and bam. Used a 18 inch breaker bar as I had no car lift used jacks lol. Hey great video bro. If this let me post pics I could show u. Mine is a J model. I worked at Lexus here in Alaska 15 yrs so plenty experience. 30 yrs plus. Like u I admire the work u put in. Keep it going 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
If the flex pipe is cracked (leaking) do I have to replace the entire pipe?
Some places do welding but if u wanna do it propperly replace it like I did

You just match them up and they would aline up propperly
