Hiking the Skyline & Cabot Trail | Nova Scotia Travel Vlog

- On our first day in Nova Scotia, we settled into the RV at Cape Breton Highlands National Park, drove up the Cabot Trail, and hiked the breathtaking Skyline Trail! The wind was monstrous, at times we all felt like it would blow our feet right out from under us! It also felt like my phone, hat and sunglasses would fly away at any moment! The trails leading to the Skyline were majestic, at times the sky so dark it seemed like a fairytale, and the views... oh the views... well, you'll just have to watch the video to see! Cape Breton really is where the sky meets the sea! And this was just DAY ONE!!! It was a 3 hour+ hike round trip and totally worth it!! The wind was crazy, felt like a hurricane, totally amazing and beautiful!! Thank you guys for watching, the next few Nova Scotia vlogs won't be so windy ;)
Very nice video and great experience. Just wondering if you went back the same way where you started it on the skyline trail or you did use the other way to go back.

I live in Cape Breton and we just did this hike in June. It is amazing! The winds you were experiencing are similar to Les Suetes. The get more intense because they ride up the mountains from the sea. I'm so excited to know you visited Nova Scotia! Just discovered this vlog while watching your Orlando theme park ones. Our first visit to Disney and Universal was in December. So glad we got to do that before covid. Stay safe!

Watching your Epcot video - you mentioned you came to NS - so I checked out your video. I've lived in NS all my life - never been to the Cabot Trail - word on the street is it's best in the fall when all the leaves change color. Hubby wants to golf the highlands some day. Come to Halifax next time please.
Beautiful landscape, but very rugged-looking too. I don't know I think I still prefer sandy beaches and palm trees, but a change of pace is always nice to.
Totally yea, for a change of pace and an adventure, this was awesome!! But white sandy beaches and palm trees is always home!! 💕

We hikes this one summer at sunset. It’s a beautiful place. If you can do it at sunset, you get some great views. On our hike we saw more than poop, we saw three moose.

No handrails at all!!! I was sitting for part of it because I really felt like the wind was going to sweep me off my feet!!! Beautiful & definitely takes some bravery to go all the way down!

Gday! Well, Antony, if it can be anywhere in the world, I'd say get out there and explore the world!! If I could go anywhere in the world right now, I would be traveling far and wide! I do still plan to travel far and wide, just in chunks as I can manage lol! And hopefully more and more with time and as I save up and learn!!! Not that I know of, gotta go up the hill and you just kinda walk in :) it’s a lovely hike though!
How long does it take to get to the Boardwalk?
I don’t really remember but i think about 20 minutes? It didn’t feel too long and it was very enjoyable. Next hike I’ll make sure to note time and distances.
