What also helps is placing aromatic(perfumey) fabric softener sheets at seven points around the perimeters of your garage walls. Rodents hate the smell and thus wards them away from the garage.

Good you left 1/4” I would have left a bit more for expansion and shrinkage. Fold it tuck in

Great video! If my garage door measures 16 ft (Amazon has a 16 ft), is it ok to get the exact size? Or longer so I can get the 1/4 in over?

If the price difference isn’t much I would go for slightly longer if you can. Most newer doors are trimmed flush and rely on the outer weatherstrip seal so if your outer seal is good then flush would work.

Well, wish my T-slots were bigger. The new seal I bought at Lowe's seems to be too big to fit into the T-slot. I cut the start at a 45 degree angle to get it in but once i get to the normal, uncut portion it crinkles and wont go in...even lubed. I need to check to see if it was made in china, that would explain the poor accuracy in measurement of the T.

I measured the t slot then compared to the one I bought to be certain it would fit. I think they were 5/16”

It should definitely help better than not using anything at all.
