But that it needs to stay on the pitch or the ice. It was never to become personal against players who just happened to be on the opposing team. That mutual respect, and teamwork along with competitiveness are all great teachers. But once resentment and personal animus got involved, you were no longer a sportsman or woman. You would have missed the point entirely… Towards the end of this season, I was disheartened that this animosity had taken over the league, and not the awesome situation where the league could start to be taken seriously… but what truly sent me over was the eye gouge episode and the assailant’s smug attitude in response. She could have been permanently injured, and it’s so obvious that the disgusting failures of sportswomen the league would have been more than fine with it. I told my niece, never to ever act like that anywhere. That what we saw was an abject disgrace and they STILL have zero empathy or compassion for what happened. If that’s what the wnba wants to set an example of, then I’ll never have my kids or nieces watch it with me. Because it’s completely unforgivable for a league in the precarious financial position the league is currently in. That ad far as my concern is, personally, it’s worth it to serve as inspiration for young girls. After this season, I can see I was wrong, and it’s seriously discouraging. I’m trying to get my niece into women’s hockey now haha!
Another dumm comment. Clark was good enough to play basketball with the boys, PRIOR TO THOSE "BOYS" GROWING INTO MANHOOD, and because of her personal talents. She would be the same player whether or not she played basketball with the "boys" when she was younger. Using your total lack of logic, any female who played basketball with "the boys" would be on Clark's level, which is 100% not true. Think before you post, as your comment is extremely dumm.
They all hated her...rude as F...and the clowns who decided to leave her off the USA team that CC asisted in BEATING whilst playing for the All Stars ....hope she plays in another league where she is respected and Adidas kicks Nike into touch with a bigger better offer. Nike were awful. They deserve to be kicked into touch.
CC is the best, but this insight helps me understand the viciousness directed towards her. She’s beaten the prima Donna’s. That is media , management and other players. She has risen above the reverse racism and shown us all. What a champion is. Love the courage of one of the best athletes, with an enormous heart and guts has shown us such integrity.
All coaches right now or trying to figure a way to beat her but they shouldn't be ashamed they should be very proud of her I believe the whole league should be very proud of her cuz she brought it up to life I live in Florida I fly up there and see her too cuz she is all that to me she's an angel
The assaults are in the game, and the coaches allowed them to get away with it. I blame the league and all the coaches for allowing all the illegal fouls, called or not, to embolden a player to literally stab CC in the eye in the first playoff game with no call. Where do you draw the line? A broken arm, neck, leg, no calls? That was the most aggressive aspect of the WNBA, and it worked! Are you all proud to represent yourselves in this way? You thought it was worth it, but you were wrong about Caitlin Clark she doesn't ever give up. She just adapts better than anyone else. She is just starting to change women 's basketball on/off the court! Live by the sword, die by the sword. That should never be the goal.
was a real messed up season for sure but this young lady of 22 sure stood her ground and i think that her not biting at all the Bullshit and says nothing says it all and that seems to piss off all the moron's the most period.
The violence and referee’s lying as well as the espn hatred all had to be orchestrated by the WNBA. Respect will be shown when the WNBA removed the players from the league that perpetrate criminal assaults on its players during its games. It just happened these violent assaults primarily happened to CC. Unless the WNBA changes their unwritten policies that are against CC, she needs to leave the WNBA for her ongoing health. The assaults and the referees have been nuts.
You're so dumm. IF Caitlin does go to Europe, it will be to play with the same women whom you are vilifying. You're such an ldiot to make a post that implies that racism and hatred only exists in the WNBA.
Ethical, fair and fun games are what people are after. You ladies just play it good and leave behind your attitude behind and you will realize the fans will love you all equally for the love of the sport. Open up your minds and look at a bigger picture for all.
It all starts at the top. Coaches, refs & players answer to the commissioner. If the commissioner allows this type of behavior then they need replaced just for starters. Refs and coaches need to follow all rules for all players all the time or be removed from the league. If they can't they should shut down the league These women are setting a horrible example for the kids that watch the WNBA These women are teaching kids to be violent to people because they are more skilled, because they are a different color (just hypocrites), because they are a "Rookie". The WNBA is a horrible example for kids to have faith in or set goals for.
And why did she go to the line, Mr. Spark's coach? Because you had to foul her to stop her. She's a 90% free throw shooter, so you might want to reconsider that strategy. And where was all this intelligent, reasoned analysis when the girl was getting bludgeoned every night?
I personally have never thought it was about racism but rather jealousy on the part opponents, the refs letting too much slide against CC and the league allowing/promoting it. Interestingly, I have heard cries of racism from male black commentators and black players. Any great player is great ONLY when they play within the rules of the game. The same applies to any league. When those rules are not adhered to there is disdain for the rule breaker. It is against the rules to allow flagrant fouls - period.
James Deane is as nice a person as Caitlin Clarke, and as a result, nobody has ever really had anything bad to say about him. I suppose most people who know who he is are men. It's not men who hate on Clark, though.
Caitlin's assists are low , fast and accurate , with the likely odds that she can berry the ball from where she stands or pulls up. That's what makes her so hard to defend . But her team deserves the credit for learning how to recept Caitlin's bullet passes . A little advice for the defender , wear high top tennis shoes or ankle rap if you don't want to break your own angles defending Clark.
Why are you so angry? Nobody died, nobody got raped, molested, or assaulted. "The will have to live with themselves"? Of course they will. They were thrilled to exude the hatred, irregardless of the potential income. It matters not about the WNBA or the players money. These miserable people did what they did because they wanted to act in that manner. They had no regrets when they were assaulting Clark, and in the future they will also have no regrets about their actions. If you want to be angry about something actually important, direct your anger to the people who are letting Diddy, and his customers, slide by on the second largest child molesting operation this side of the Catholic church.
I can only speak as a former ice hockey player, and as a Latino man (this becomes sadly relevant). I have never been a basketball player or fan. I had only ever watched the WNBA low light fail compilations for a laugh. I had only seen videos of the players demanding more money and attention when their whole league lost money and remained on life support. BUT! I watched CC play, and though I only had the most basic of understanding of the game, it was still watching someone who was consistently entering a flow state, and in that zone, her play was watching poetry in motion. I never thought I’d watch WNBA basketball… aside from laughing at them. Yet this season, I watched CC play, and enjoyed myself with all the others like me! But two things were brutally obvious. For all their whining, entitled, and frankly delusional rhetoric, the moment CC made those things possible, made the WNBA something other than a joke, these same entitled players attacked. And it’s not just the players. So called “legends” who people like me have never heard of, league staff, and refs, everyone seemed devoted to tearing her down. And later, players became devoted to permanently hurting her. As I watched this grotesque display of bad form and utter absence of sportsmanship, integrity, and respect, as a brown man, it became clear this was about her race. The moment that one former player turned loser said “black people canf be racist,” it screamed “this is pure racism.” At this point, I wish CC would abandon this garbage money losing life support league, and go play for near 100 million dollars in Europe where the nastiness aimed at her would not be openly tolerated and encouraged like in the wnba. I would NEVER want my daughter to look up to the players in that league. They’ve shown themselves to be awful role models and petty, vindictive, and violent people. They’re a disgrace to good sportswomanship and a black eye to their game. Let the league fold. I understand the importance of women’s professional sports as role models for young girls to aspire to. But no one should be aspiring to what the WNBA has devolved into. Let it die.
The old guard didn't want the new girl to show them up. They went all out to shut her down. That included keeping her off the Olympic team. Not one of them stood up for Clark. Now they love her? What a load of crap. When team USA comes knocking in four years I hope she tells them to take a hike.
Caitlin's media presence is underrated in all this. Her intelligence comes through what she says in the media and how she carries herself in general. That's a talent almost important as her physical skills. She's like JJ Reddick's head on John Stockton's body

Any ethical coach, after the vicious and flagrant cheap shot to take CC out of the game from Thomas, would put and end to that B.S. Then comes Carrington and then Mabrey's cheap shots. Nope, that comes from the coach. White is not good for CC.
I hope if she’s going to stay another year that she’s on a one year deal with a high salary. Who wants to play for someone like that? She doesn’t need to grieve she can do better.
CC IS GREAT & WILL ONLY GET GREATER. UNFORTUNATELY THESE WOMEN DIDNT HV A CLUE ON HOW TO CONTAIN HER OR MATCH HER GREATNESS. SOME OF THEM BEING LESBIANS HAS NOTHING TO DO W/ IT. NOT ALL WNBA PLAYERS R LESBIANS.
While the opposing coaches no doubt, said "we got to put a body on her," I highly doubt they advocated deliberately dirty play. The 80s NBA was VERY physical (to the point the NBA eliminated "hand checking." I seriously question whether these ladies could be that physical without being dirty.
The treatment of Caitlin Clark has been nothing short of shocking. This whole push to discard what is clearly excellence in motion...is recognized by any sound mind as an attempt to lower every good instinct in human performance , INCLUDING behavioral expression. To Those controlling the push for the kind of emotional , technical and sportsmanship mediocrity displayed by players, coaches, management and those behind the proverbial curtain.... we see you. The saying... What's good is getting better....What's bad is getting worse. ...is the story being played out before us in many areas. Pay attention and speak Up ❣
Caitlin is the most exciting thing to happen to basketball in....forever. I'm boomer who has now started following the WNBA again after years of a women's basketball desert. Not the fault of the players, but the view that women's basketball is not fun to watch, so they rarely televised it. Caitlin has brought the excitement back, not only as an incredible player, but also her strong character. Even with the blatant "eye poke", she was gracious and called it an accident. We all saw the angle that clearly showed it was NOT an accident'. So no matter how you choose to see the blatantly bad calls by the refs and the hatred of other players, she is a powerful force and a great role model. The WNBA needs more of her, as well as replacing the biased refs and get in honest refs with integrity. Cuz this young lady is here to stay, and I am thankful for her. Womens basketball is finally getting the coverage it deserves.

Growing up playing with boys is wats showing her why she's so good at basketball,
Another dumm comment.
Will not ever buy another pair of Nikes.
It's always good to see people stay alive long enough to read their own obituary.
I would not say Caitlin has a magnetic personality, she is just a decent nice person, unlike many of the other players in the WNBA.
Too late!
CC IS SMART
Make money over seas baby!
The assaults and the referees have been nuts.
yes very exhausting, she’s just a kind person & the best female player
They see the golden goose flying to Europe to play. Seeya RACIST WNBA. Hope the NBA pulls the rug out & you are done. Justice & karma.
I don't think she is going to Europe.
@@almawasilewski She's not.
@@HungryH1951 Thank you. I haven't seen any concrete evidence and its still all over TH-cam, lol
@@almawasilewski Lately I have seen all kinds of untrue clickbait on the net about CC, amongst other things.
This woke league don’t deserve CC. Clark can play in Europe or 3x3
It's too late now. CC is gone. We are all going to miss her. Respect was needed.😮
We don't need that anymore
Keep the same energy and we appreciate it 💯 👌
AND THE PLAHERS...THEY DOING WHAT THEY WANT AND AT THE TOP...IT IS BEING DIRECTED OR NONE OF THIS COULD HAPPEN..
It all starts at the top. Coaches, refs & players answer to the commissioner.
If the commissioner allows this type of behavior then they need replaced just for starters.
Refs and coaches need to follow all rules for all players all the time or be removed from the league.
If they can't they should shut down the league
These women are setting a horrible example for the kids that watch the WNBA
These women are teaching kids to be violent to people because they are more skilled, because they are a different color (just hypocrites), because they are a "Rookie".
Supporting bullies is not honorable, but thats todays wnba coaches who now try to act like they have some morals.
There are some free agents out there looking at their contract and looking at going to Indiana
Boycott the wnba. No games No swag. No shit.
We don't really have to boycott the wmba. Without Caitlin Clark it will just go back to no one watching the wmba.
Caitlin Clark did more for the WNBA in one Season than any other Player has done in the last 20- years.
No-one tells a decent human being who to hate and denigrate. We have our own standards plus a brain and a modicum of free will at our disposal.
TOO LITTLE TO LATE . SHOWS THE RESULTS OF JEALOUSY, HATRED AND RACISM. THEY WILL HAVE TO LIVE WITH THEMSELVES
The moment that one former player turned loser said “black people canf be racist,” it screamed “this is pure racism.”
At this point, I wish CC would abandon this garbage money losing life support league, and go play for near 100 million dollars in Europe where the nastiness aimed at her would not be openly tolerated and encouraged like in the wnba.
Let it die.
Sure seemed like some players /teams were trying to take her out for the season .The refs are just a joke someone is pulling their strings .
No Matter how much coaching and watching past videos,,, Caitlin is the Beast & a Ankle Breaker,,, Her "Style" is Anything & Everything!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤
The old guard didn't want the new girl to show them up. They went all out to shut her down. That included keeping her off the Olympic team. Not one of them stood up for Clark. Now they love her? What a load of crap. When team USA comes knocking in four years I hope she tells them to take a hike.
She moves to Spain lives and plays there she should play for Spain next Olympics
Listen to the Men who had a play defense against Bird. Best Quote was from Pat Riley
Players job is to push envelope, refs job is to keep them from going to far, refs failed
Clark and sides get along and sides loves her??? Ha....nope. this is an outlyer message u are claiming is the norm.
Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha, yeah you say all those nice things about her now that she is no longer a threat to your own interests. How obvious can you be?
Where were all of you when Caitlyn need defending ?
Good for her playing for Barelona , no Drama ,racism LGBT influence 😅
Caitlin's media presence is underrated in all this. Her intelligence comes through what she says in the media and how she carries herself in general. That's a talent almost important as her physical skills. She's like JJ Reddick's head on John Stockton's body
Yan ang tunay na problema. Hinayaan ng mga coaches & refs na magingbganyan sngbtrato nils ke CC.
The really sad part is that from all the broadcast that was so full of lies NOBODY believes anything you all say now good or bad!
Why did the coaches and the referees let the other players abuse Kaitlyn Clark so badly? They should all be fired in my opinion.
Now that her players have got used to playing with her, the turnovers will definitely go down
YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW.
Don't care anymore, they had their chance and blew it. Catlin shouldn't pay them no mind.
Hypocrisy at its finest and liars! These women need to go home
She is the type of player that really does not need a coach the way she move in the court and direct the offense is so mature for her age
Don't be stupid. Every team needs a coach.
You people are so dumm.
Is it adjusting to her going to the European League and making twice what the WNBA would pay 😮
I think Clayton Clark eats that pressure up I think she loves it this girl is a warrior when she's on that Court I really don't see Indiana fever losing any kind of games I don't think there's anybody out there can actually beat them I just hope her teammates are all practicing together right now have that dream being undefeated something to see I think it could happen
@Tonriley-y8s Clayton? 😅 are you drunk?
Any ethical coach, after the vicious and flagrant cheap shot to take CC out of the game from Thomas, would put and end to that B.S. Then comes Carrington and then Mabrey's cheap shots. Nope, that comes from the coach. White is not good for CC.
Too little too late! Goodbye, so sad, too bad!
Dawn Staly is 💯 - We've known that CC is that generational baller!
This is what kept me from playing in grade and high school. I was not as patient she is. Truly admire her.
How many years would the fever have tanked for top pick before they improved if cc didn't turn up lol
Thank you Coach Bordello!! Too bad you can’t choose the US Olympic Team or lead Caitlin Clark in her growth as a player!!
Are you guy's kidding me?!? Now you guys are giving her her props!?!?!
I hope if she’s going to stay another year that she’s on a one year deal with a high salary. Who wants to play for someone like that? She doesn’t need to grieve she can do better.
Don’t watch the WNBA now that CC was moved on. Good for CC, WNBA doesn’t deserve her.
The race blaming was there A'ja Wilson's leaked video proved that
Ohh..So we have to read between the lines!!..B.S…….
So the Aussie got the WNBA to fold during the playoffs and “GIVE” NY(dress worn by commissioner) the proof.
They are all BS referees and coaches….
The WNBA should ban fingernail extensions and eyelash extensions. These are weapons. And show a little modesty
That's cuz he's running scared Caitlin Clark's going to take this lead man I'm telling you guys
Fever Coach Sides was fired this past week.
Good bye wnba and her haters.
Cause Caitlin has game and shes humble
No one on TH-cam has the cahonies to name the refs so we can see if the same one shows up on bad calls...
Is there any WNBA coaches that are not woke. Boycott woke in women’s sports
The one coach is a liar! and most of the black ladies are jealous of her
Someone needs to start building a team AROUND Clark! Get rid of the haters.
While the opposing coaches no doubt, said "we got to put a body on her," I highly doubt they advocated deliberately dirty play. The 80s NBA was VERY physical (to the point the NBA eliminated "hand checking." I seriously question whether these ladies could be that physical without being dirty.
Coaches, your complements are OK, but your first comments were lies, how can we believe anything you say? But we have eyes ourselves.
Dawn Staley....the one coach who knows the score.
It was pure jealousy and therefore hate.
Pay attention and speak Up ❣
Praise??? Too little too late!!!!
Too late... ladies. Professionals whose Jealousy and bitterness caused her to walk away from this unprofessional organization
Cancel the woke crazy WNBA
Everybody knows I love that family Caden Clark p just God bless you and God bless you and God bless you I can say that all day I just love her family what a what a piece of art p look at the family the kids grown up are they something to see yes
The NBA has a rule of no fighting/ no violence - I don’t know how the wording reads. Why doesn’t the WNBA have the same rule? The players fighting and coaches getting up in each other’s faces just adds to the organization’s unprofessionalism.
Get it together WNBA. The world is watching.
These people giving her praise now doesn’t make up for the hate they gave her.
Kaitlyn Clark, this country biggest problem discrimination remember the days of old, that endured . Welcome to the Hall of Fame, overcoming discrimination, like the William sisters Jackie Robinson, Arthur, Ash Jim Brown Hank, Aaron Larry Bird, and many more, you go, girl
