Subodh Mishra: The person who planned 9/11 was a mastermind. But mostly it is said that it was a US-made plan. Before the US there was no other option to interfere in the Muslim world. Keep in mind 'cold war' was ended and the former USSR was dismembered in 1991 so American justification of interference in different parts of the world particularly in the oil and gas-rich Middle East was over. So they coined 9/11.

Why do they want to hold the Ladakh and Jammu districts which are not ethnic Kashmiri to ransom?
Kashmiris who intend to form a Islamic Republic or to merge with Pakistan, are oblivious to the rights and welfare of minorities. All this when Kashmiri Muslims are concentrated in a very limited geographic location.
To conclude, Kashmiris are not being patient. They are speaking the language of gun. So be it.

IN sources came to know abt it from intelligence sources and so occupied Siachen exactly 13 days before PK came to occupy it and found it occupied. Mind you - the territory was not demarcated - and that is what the dispute is what it is all about. How to interpret the language. :-)

Let me bring you back to the point and remind you that programs like these are not a battle or match where one loses and other wins. Seeing everything in these terms is a symptom of polarisation.
I found this discussion to be meaningful, all the partcipants shared their point of view, a rare sight in talk shows and even more rare when its about Pakistan and India. I believe discussions like these will contribute towards creation of the enabling environment in which productive, constructive talks can happen between two countries which can repair the relations.
Seeing things only in black and white has brought here, maybe seeing things from each other’s angle and in shades of gray might help.

They were talking about Pakistan aspect all the time, and were expecting Dr. Tharoor would nod at every point, but they themselves didn’t absorbed the Indian narrative which is true. They believe in the narrative of thousand cuts and India to not react. Dr. Tharoor should have made even more stronger points. He agreed on few points which is not only objectionable but dejected.

From Pak🕊I salute Dr S. Tahroor for being extremely patient. He certainly is more knowledgeable than Pak. Panelist’s Naseem Zehra, Aijaz & Mr Moeed Pirzada but they didn’t let him respond...sadly. They need to be trained how to phrase Qs instead of expressing their opinions & to show off their knowledge. They should show respect to the guest by letting him speak more.

Moeed Pirzada is one of the biggest Pakistani apologist ever. I don't think he could ever be described as unbiased. He wasn't even being unbaised in this interview.

Earlier when they were talking about demilitarising border, mutually sign on defined border lines & fishermen issue, i understood it was for the economic and humanitarian welfare of both our countrymen.
But when they slipped in separation of Kashmir which has nothing to do with the benefit of Pakistanis but only fuelled by vengeance and motive of revenge, It makes me worry they wont stop terrorist activities in that region.
Terrorism is the only way that they can try and bridge the obvious A-symmetry between the strengths and capabilities of both of our nations.

Yes. Thats true. There could be lot of trade, tourism. In fact many of Hindu, Buddhist, Sikh, Jain sacred sites are in Pakistan which can be good for tourism so are many Muslim sacred sites in India. Even Musharaff visited one. Many movies, sports events can be there.
Bangladesh and India adjusted their complex boundaries recently during Modi first term. Hopefully India and Pakistan can resolve Siachen glacuer, Sir Creek and Kashmir boundaries then biggest problem is gone. To simply put it, good diplomatic talks can do this instead of armed intruders into Kashmir to instigate locals to fight for freedom. Same for Pakistan, they can deal with Balochistan and NWFP Pashtuns with a diplomatic talk. Because violence leads to no peace. We saw in Afghanistan now what 3 decades of US war led to, ultimately they replaced Taliban with Taliban.
Another main issue is corruption in both countries which should be removed to develop both countries.
Demilitarisation of Siachen and surroundings will save lives of both countries.
New generation will be shocked if they watch this kind of peaceful debate.

My rent agent is a friendly Pakistan guy in Australia. His father worked in High Commission. I know him more than a year and we had many good conversations but Kashmir, wars, religion never came into discussion as we see in social media.
Talks with Pakistan is futile, the very birth of Pakistan is from Indian / Hindu hatred so any amount of talk is a waste of time and effort. If we can disintegrate the Pakistan in to various smaller countries that will be a great next step towards the security of India. Also we must stop equate ourself with the beggar state Pakistan. We must show them their position.

Pakistanis are less insecure than us Indians, can you imagine an Indian news channel do the same with a Pakistani spokesperson and have such a civil conversation with them? No, they will instantly be labeled anti national, and their TRP will drop because the common Indian is very insecure. Of course it was Republic Tv, Times Now or Zee news then the story would be very different, they would simply call a Pakistani panelist to berate him and scream over him only to congratulate themselves as don't even let the Pakistani panelist speak. I think we as Indians can learn something from our neighbours. Forget about Pakistan, I don't think shashi tharoor or indeed anyone can have such an open conversation on Indian media about India's geopolitics today, imagine a news channel telling Indians that the Indian supreme Court did not find Pakistan complicit in the parliament attack, there would be a riot.
