It doesn't work for most websites. When I did it on the one I read. It said "please enable javascript". So basically instead of paywall notification, you still get free part only and are prompted to enable javascript. Any other solution including plugins would be welcome though.
I don't really bother liking or commenting on pretty much any video on this accursed website but dang you did earn mine. Not only are you straight to the point, the way your videos are presented are really clean. You don't see that a lot nowadays so thumbs up dude! :D

Hey there, this is a solution that might work in relation to purely front-end coded pay-wall (which means to extremely low number of paywalls). I tried it on first few websites that came to my mind and it did not work on any of them. The overwhelming majority of paywalls use a back-end solution that does not care about javascript being on or off.
Paywalls man, I just wanted a chocolate fudge recipe off some website with a very appetizing picture. I did this, it worked great! They were charging $20USD/Year for a BASIC 4 ingredient recipe. (For anyone wondering) 1. Melt chocolate of your choice and condensed milk in a double boiler 2. Then mix in some salt and vanilla extract 3. Refrigerate at least until hard Basic I know :/
Most nowadays use the "continue reading" button which enables only through JavaScript. So, if you disable Javascript, you'll get rid of the paywall pop up but won't be able to click on continue reading to read the rest of the site.
I tried this on a local P&J article here in Scotland. Got rid of the paywall, only to be met with zero text and a big white blank space on the page where the article should be. I think they're catching on lol

I dont see the problem in wanting money for the content but i hate it when companies put their sites at the top of the search recomandations for important information but then dont give acces to this really important information wich should be publicly accesable like poisened food sources or corona related stuff. like fr why do you hide THIS info and put your article on top of the others

First try and at least on this particular site it doesn't work. Pops up message javascript is required so maybe developers are getting wise to the trick.
Theres addons that add a quick right-click to disable javascript button, I use it quite frequently for these exact reasons, and also to bypass those annoying adblock blocker messages. Much quicker than having to dig through the settings every time

Doesn't work and will make the pages run really slow... There is however a much easier way that's guaranteed to work all the time. Just copy and paste the url into a new incognito window.

hi , it DOESN'T seem to be working for non-English sites ! (i'm Lebaneses , living in Lebanon , opened a local newspaper's website in Arabic . it didn't work !)
Thank you SO much for this! I'm all for paying for things that I use, but found this while looking for info on candidates for the upcoming election and I keep hitting paywalls. So frustrating, and I think that that's something that shouldn't be under a paywall.

there are many sites that checks if javascript is activated, do not let you continue to read the site.
I disabled the javascript but it turns out that it kept on loading and I was unable to view the content I really wanted :'(
