@GenP i really like all your tips and tricks. It makes me a little more brave going into hardcore mode. As for doing speedrun, do you have any tips and tricks for that? How much of luck would you say? How would you practice all these runs and how often did you fail and what would you do? I'm thinking about speedruning through this just to see how far my skills would go. Thank you
Thank you! Freelancer speedruns depend on RNG A LOT. So I'd say you need luck with RNG. The best practice for it is just start running. I fail a lot and when I speedrun I use Alt+F4 so I don't lose my items and I don't have to play to get weapons back. You need to have general knowledge about maps so you can more or less effectively traverse the maps, but you can get this knowledge by running as well. If you don't have a lot of experience in gunfights in hitman, I'd advice to try to speedrun normal difficulty first, so you can get basic understanding of how guards' AI work in fights. And I guess it's clear from my runs that you want to take specific maps for showdowns (like Creek, Mendoza, sometimes Haven or even Colorado) and avoid in general maps like Sgail, Mumbai, Marrakesh, Miami.
@@GenP thank you for reply. I was surprised that my comment even reached out to you given how long ago this video was. I always play hitman on master mode. I think i have a pretty good understanding of how AI works given my obsession with SASO No KO Fibre wire style. It could be a hindrance as well, I'm aware. I guess your advice can be summed up to "no pain no gain". I should try to select "timed" objectives as that can greatly force me to be better. One thing i should try when doing showdown is just sniping suspects. The penalty for killing wrong suspects is less painful than constantly Alt-F4 ing (I'm on Xbox btw) to be perfect
super impressive vid! thanks for sharing. question: where did your hackl sniper rifle go after finishing paris in the 4th syndicate? did the game bug out, and is that why you had to use a different sniper for the next map?
Thank you! Yes, sometimes you can lose the item in the briefcase when you exit. From my experience it usually happens when you use fast prompt for the exit and you hold something else in right hand.
Thank you! I would say Mendoza is #1 for me, then it's Whittleton Creek. Haven and Colorado - I take them sometimes too. In most cases it depends on other maps I see in the book. Like in this run on 4th syndicate I took Haven for showdown because all other maps were good in map pool.
@@GenP I see now in the bar on the right you did 34:41 four weeks ago, I watched that one as well. You've been grinding really well, shaving off five minutes. Great Work, I'm going to subscribe so I don't miss your future videos. I saw your Haven island syndicate showdown in this run, that was mad skill. In your hideout I noticed you have very little gear in the cases to the left and you even ignored the reward crate many times, I don't know if that's intentional to force spawn certain items or if you simply don't need them. You could try a hardcore run where you have all the items acquired, that way if you use a rubber duck bomb, it usually respawns in the reward crate after the mission. (There's also one time where you get the WA 2000 sniper rifle and then run back to the prestige picks, that cost like 10 seconds) It's funny how I hate Whittleton Creek when playing Hardcore, but you snipe people across the map and make it look so easy. If you can avoid maps like Italy, Colorado and Isle of Sgail, you can definitely get sub 28:00. Also, if you have funny bloopers and situations saved on your hard drive, it would be entertaining to see a clip compilation of silly npcs. I'm going to look through your videos to make sure I haven't missed it.
@@m_isho Thank you for your kind words and for the sub! About freelancer tools: yes, most of the time gear boxes are empty because I abort a lot of campaigns while I'm looking for a good 1st book and I also die a lot on the runs and have to reset campaigns all the time. I ignore reward crates because I rely more on sniper kills. There are some situations when it's better to have explosive and in this case I'm trying to pick one up before mission. Usually I start to pick up explosives from reward crates between the missions on 3rd syndicate, but it's enough to have 2 or 3. That one time when I had to grab Sieger rifle after Paris, it happened because game stole my Leviathan rifle (bug happened). It happens when you fast exit the mission while holding your rifle in the briefcase and something else in other hand. This whole situations was unexpected and that's why I broke my usual routine. Why is it, at the end of Paris 33:53, when he loads back into the safe house his sniper is already on the wall, but every other time when he loads in it's already equipped?

By opening inventory and pressing exit button you can skip holding exit button. But if I do this input when I have briefcase, 47 will unpack item from the briefcase, so I avoid it by switching to any other item in inventory.
