I remember Tommy when he was touring as Master of Ceremonies with Videogames Live. I remember him introducing himself to the crowd as a "composer whose worked on over 300 video games". And I remember thinking to myself "300 videogames? Well, I just dropped a bunch of money on a ticket to a symphony concert featuring music by some of my favorite video game composers...so how come I've never heard of you?". His wikipedia page mentions 84 games....and he didn't even do the music for a lot of them (just SFX or some other project role). His whole on-stage persona was just....He had the vibe of a dude who always wanted to be a rock star, but was piggybacking off of this entirely different medium to try and live that dream. I was used to other Symphony Projects like "Distant Worlds" (Final Fantasy) and "Symphony of the Goddesses" (Zelda) where it's really more about the music. For VGL it just seemed like Tommy was trying to make it all about himself. Which was WEIRD, since 90+% of the setlist that night wasn't even his music!!
I think it should be pointed out that the final edited response was 50 minutes. Even being extremely generous and saying he only cut out 10 minutes total, and somehow only took 30 minutes to edit and splice in clips and images, that is minimum 90 minutes for what was supposed to be a short response. Then he said he was on his way to work.
I had an Intellivision growing up and have been following this Amico disaster from the beginning. I actually ordered it. It has been amazing how dead on balls accurate Pat and Ian have been throughout this whole thing and the amount of b.s. they got for it. They called everything.
It's a shame that Tommy was so smart when he was 12 and able to lead a big company like that to have 20% of the video game market back in 1980. Now he's 55 and can't produce a proper video game console. It's really sad.

Not content with simply revolutionizing the video game industry, Tommy Tallarico has now brought his creativity into the field of language as he redefines 'quick' to mean long and laborious.
He's manipulative AF. You can tell he's so neurotic and sensitive that he has a hard time controlling himself, then he desperately tries to backpedal on his petty aggressive bs. And he's used to people buying into it. His priorities are screwed. Imagine what he would be like if he hadn't had to be the face of the Intellivision. My first comment about the Amico is to Tommy Tallarico himself back in 2019 in this comment section when he used to post here with me predicting the pretty much the exact reasons for the Amico's imminent failure and pointing out Tommy's anti-Nintendo bias. I was on board with Pat and Ian regarding the Amico pretty much from day one. This rebuttal is outstanding.
If Tommy was so biased towards Nintendo then why the F did he worked with Miyamoto-san on Metroid Prime and Wii if he was biased on Nintendo in the first place.
Tommy most definitely was angry while recording that video and as I had pointed out before his insane lie about working with Miyamoto on the Wii.... Metroid Prime came out on the GameCube and it was many years before. Absolutely insanity that a CEO of any company would spend so much time trying to save face. Tommy needs to grow up.
Tommy’s 50 min video is like watching a little dog chase it’s tail for 24 mins, then it stops chases it in the opposite direction for 1 min, and then chasing it again in the first direction for the next 25 mins.
If there was a Guiness Record for "digging your own grave", Tommy would get it... and that's probably the only record that he would have gotten legitimately :P

Me about 40 minutes in: "OH MY GOD THIS GUY WILL NOT SHUT THE F*** UP!" I... I think I get it now... I know who Tommy is... when he was young, in the neighborhood he grew up in, among all the other children... he was the Ranch Dressing Kid.
This was probably one of the funniest videos I have watched in a very long time. I had to pause it so many times due to the ridiculous statements Tommy was saying. And then after you both responded.. I had to pause again due to how amusing you were when dealing with what he was claiming. Working on the Wii with Miyamoto.. begging for you guys to come to his house so he can cook Italian Food for you.. telling you he's not angry but he very clearly is. Using clips and out of context moments.. then when he picked up his remotes to show them off to you randomly.. ha ha ha.. oh this was a gem. Thanks guys. I'm glad that his insanity is out there and hopefully, more sane people will see this man for the lunatic he appears to be.
Love the podcast and everything you guys do with it. Also, Pat! If you could PLEASE put together the best rants of the CU Podcast in 1 long video, I think that'd be an amazing video! Just a suggestion there, hopefully that's something we see down the road. Have a great day, afternoon or night, depending on when you read this. Bye bye
Thing is though, he appears to have been in Midlife Crisis mode since he first moved to SoCal.
A midlife crisis is when you buy a sports car that's way out of your price range. This is exhibiting the symptoms of Narcissistic Personality Disorder, a Cluster B personality disorder. This goes WAY beyond something as cute as a midlife crisis...
No way. This has been his M.O. for basically his ENTIRE adult life. This isn't a midlife crisis, it's severe mental illness.
@@Centrifuze But he _has_ bought multiple sports cars he can't feasibly afford, though. 😜
@@Hammerhead547 I know I shouldn't laugh but you know you fucked up when you get your step daughter fired from a fan club. That made me laugh more than it should have.
This guy literally made every wrong decision possible over these last 4 years. It’s one hell of a train wreck to watch.
The smile on Pat’s face as the video progresses is gold. Knowing how everything played out. He’s just so excited.
@Dewmguygamingyou’re
I'd go as far to say that 100% of the setlist was not his music.
And if Pat is right, he spent time beforehand writing a script too.
This “quick” video was a full day (of wasted) effort.
Hey, rolling in the snow in the middle of sunny SoCal takes time too, you know!
I had an Intellivision growing up and have been following this Amico disaster from the beginning. I actually ordered it. It has been amazing how dead on balls accurate Pat and Ian have been throughout this whole thing and the amount of b.s. they got for it. They called everything.
“We made twenty percent (of the Intellivision market in the 80s)”.
His mother would be very proud of that lie.
It's a shame that Tommy was so smart when he was 12 and able to lead a big company like that to have 20% of the video game market back in 1980. Now he's 55 and can't produce a proper video game console. It's really sad.
Don't disrespect the legendary air guitarist Tommy Tallarico!

And also New York Yankee Hall of Famer. xD

I highly doubt I'll ever meet Pat or Ian IRL, but if I do, I so solemnly swear that I will invite them over to my house for pasta and cannoli and they can look at my games collection. XD
Pat and Ian are always invited to my place. I'm not Italian, but Polish so we can have pierogis :)

“You can’t do RFID and touchscreen on the Switch, only on the Amico!”?! The Switch has both of those things. Holy shit, Tommy.
No but you can't do it on every individual controller. Because that's totally something that everyone needs and wants.
I wonder how Tall Tales Tommy feels about Hbomberguy basically destroying him on every level...

Heel Ian and Petty Pat shitting on Tommy Scamarico is what my life has been missing lately.
Tommy slaparico
More like assisted beat down. Tommy is doing the majority of the work on himself. Might as well call it, “Petty Pat and Ian watches and comments on a self-own.”
Not content with simply revolutionizing the video game industry, Tommy Tallarico has now brought his creativity into the field of language as he redefines 'quick' to mean long and laborious.
And he edited it down, think of how long he actually sat there rambling... 🤯
A poorly done retro-ish focused ouya with an over engineered controller
The real reason Tommy is disappointed is that Pat and Ian didn't fall or bend to his narcissistic shit.
He's upset they didn't just fall in line like the others, and he doesn't understand that.
If this is professional Tommy, I'd hate to see what he's like with the gloves all the way off.
There's so much passive aggression and condescending, petty subtext here it's insane. This is more than just the console to him, it's war.
This man can say so little with so many words.

I remember when I commented on one of Smash JT's videos claiming you're both hard on the Amico and Tommy just for money and Tommy himself responded to me, he linked me this very same 51 minute video thinking it would get me on his side. I didn't even watch it once I noticed how long it was. Man, to think I used to respect this guy.
Tommy: “I worked on the Wii with Miyamoto!”
Me: I died!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
See if I was to ask Tommy a question it would be "Is the Switch something that is full of blood and gore, kids in compromising positions, and rape, or are you friends with Miyamoto? It can't be both. Which is it Tommy?" If he was actually friends with Miyamoto he wouldn't be saying crap like that as The President of a video game company.
@@dissraps Yes, can be friends, but going out and making the accusations that the Switch is pro-rape and pro-pedo is something a CEO doesn't do.

I really needed this. Thanks for bringing a smile guys!
