I was attended a funeral for a good friend, a lady well known for her sense of humor. She had written her own farewell message, and it was brief! "We are here to say goodbye to Sharma. She died of natural causes. Probably the first natural thing she has done in years."
It's inspired by the carry on films. When something sexual sounding was said, Kenneth Williams would go "Muuuurrrrrrr" and sometimes "Muuuuurrrr, matron."
My dad's funeral was funny as fuck, he was cracking jokes right up to the point he was struggling to stay awake, would take him like 10 seconds to get one word out but he would crack up laughing when he finished the joke. Amazing spirit, I miss him so much
I watched him live in Manchester, this story is just amazing. He didn't just come to his last show in Bristol "where Russel lives" he came to every live show. And Russell told everyone this story and it puts on your heart strings. That's one thing I love about Russell Howard he does 1 hour of jokes and then tells you a heart warming story about someone he has met. You don't see alot of comedians doing that, and that's why he stands out to us British people. He makes you laugh and to Finnish a story that will make you cry.
Russell Howard was (and still is) my favourite comedian when I was growing up, all through my teens I couldn't wait for good news every Thursday. One of the things I had in common with my best friend at school was we were both massive fans of Russell Howard
Russel Howard is probably one of the biggest comedians in the UK. It feels so weird hearing people say they've never heard of him when I've literally watched him from his first time on UK panel shows like Mock the Week to getting his own shows and tours
We across the pond do have a questionable sense of humour at things you think are a no go zone. I’m so glad that lad pulled through. A true testament to how even in the darkest hours the British will still joke about regardless.
I'm not surprised Americans dont know Russel Howard not many of you Americans watch stuff from out side outside of America. He very good and funny as hell should check out his other stuff
the only way most people see him in the u.s is either from what he has on netflix, which isn't much, or watching illegal uploads on the internet. he isn't on bbca, he would be pretty big over here as well. some of his jokes are a bit off when he localizes them for an american audience, but he is one of my favorite comedians from the uk, and i would love to see him blow up over here. if i'm wrong and he does have more stuff easily available in the u.s. i'd love to know.
Couch Time That's funny. You are. There's many things going on around the world that Americans don't know about or have no interest in. The World Cup for example, Eurovision, songs NOT in English, shows from other countries, things like this. You'd be surprised, you would only realize it if you left the US.
You guys should watch a few episodes of Russell Howard Good News when you can, he's a great, funny guy. Or at least watch one of his DVDs, he's the best!
You know, It's actually funny you said this. I was trying to find a way to get in touch with these guys and say "guys, I've found him before, there's a much bigger story behind this to look into". Yet here you are. Best of luck to both of you. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help.
I've been watching Russell for many years.. never watched this particular stand up routine before..Thank's for showing.."Fight fear with fun" Brilliant!
Gotta love Russell, one of our wackiest guys haha. Shame he isn't more popular in the US, I think Americans often struggle to understand some of the British humour, or maybe it's just that British comedians don't really get shown off in the US?
When my grandad died he wanted a New Orleans style funeral, we live i the countryside in the uk in a smallish which is mostly white like 95% 😂😂😂🇬🇧🙏🏻 have to say it was a great send off for him. And I still see people like ten years later that say what a great funeral it was an im sure my grandfather would of love a laughed about. He loved jazz & blues we are an all white Christian family. Buy on that day we had a blues band do all the songs in the church an a live jazz band playing on the back of an open truck from the church to the cemetery an will the coffin was being lowered. An at the wake after. 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧😂🙏🏻
Agreed .. His reaction to the guy on his right was like .. ** Why you think this is funny ... Then he slowly gets the idea of a young teenage lad, that had to grow up afore his time and deal with the possibilty of dying ... Shame it took me 8 months to find this ..
Russell Howard is an AMAZING human as well as a comedian. He's known for being able to find the good and the funny in even the darkest situations - in his show 'Russell Howard's Good News,' which was him poking fun at the news and current politics of the week, he would always end with an inspirational piece about some unsung hero doing something brave/amazing/compassionate for their community. He has hundreds of clips on TH-cam - well worth a look.
Love this video! Russell Howard's big in the UK, in fact, Tyrone Magnus' Star Wars reaction was featured on his 'Russell Howard's good news' programme. He's also been on Conan's TH-cam channel before too 👍
it doesnt matter how many times i see this part of his show and i went to it to see him live, im sitting here with tears streaming down my face, every bloody time lol.. i love you Russell Howhard ( thats a joke from another part of this show)
Russel Howard started out on BBC2's 'Mock The Week' with Dara O'Briain, Frankie Boyle and Andy Parsons. He always seemed in awe of Frankie and his DARK stuff...
Russell Howard is brilliant. You should react to more of his skits. He had a show where he would comment on the state of the world. Russell Howard's good news. You'd love that! I'd love to watch reactions to that 😁👍
I have been to a couple of funerals in Swaziland, where instead of mourning the deceased, the funeral is a celebration of his or her life. The guests would sing and dance through the church and bring gifts to the widow/family to help them through a difficult time. Live chickens, sheep, rice, fruits and vegetables as well as money were placed in front of the congregation. My grandparents are buried there as well, and when they dug my grandfathers grave next to his wife, they made a small opening between the graves in case they wanted to hold hands or comunicate in the afterlife. I found it very touching. For my funeral I am thinking Muppet Show opening song, then to fire up the coffin while wheeling it down the isle to AC/DCs Highway to Hell.
You shoulda been like "no, i wont come to your funeral" then when he asks why you say "cause you will live long enough to come to mine" that woylda been epic
Only time I cried during Fast and Furious was me sitting there thinking "Why did I waste my time watching this film". Not cried since or seen a F and F since. So many tears saved.
Thanks for reacting to this special comedy video with a wonderful message by the hilarious Russell Howard! That is what the power of laughter and happiness can do to us! Not many TH-camrs react to this video other than the Renegades Media Group though.
So basically, you play somebody's video all the way through whilst staring mindlessly in the background... and get the credit for their hard accomplishments?
I was attended a funeral for a good friend, a lady well known for her sense of humor.
She had written her own farewell message, and it was brief!
"We are here to say goodbye to Sharma. She died of natural causes. Probably the first natural thing she has done in years."
Im going to hell for laughing
Brilliant! 🤣🤣🤣
I'm from the UK and Russell Howard has to be one of my favourite comedians, he's HUGE here
Tia Lily the Russell Howard hour is so good
I'm angry that i didn't hear of him until now. His stage presence is phenomenal and his delivery is lethal.
oi oi fellow Brit lol
The "murr" thing was a joke from earlier on, how his family would say "murr" whenever something said (when taken out of context) sounded sexual
Niall Connolly Jr and his mom would never get it right
It's inspired by the carry on films. When something sexual sounding was said, Kenneth Williams would go "Muuuurrrrrrr" and sometimes "Muuuuurrrr, matron."
I'm glad someone mentioned this because they looked so confused. My brother and I say it all the time after watching one of his bits about it
thanks for explaining Ginger - huge Russell fan - I get it but these guys obviously didn't - was going to explain for other new viewers - thanks ♥
Música

MissAquaMinxi he's my favourite stand up comic
MissAquaMinxi there American, 99% of the jokes will fly over there heads
This is the craziest thing I have seen!
This lad is my son Deryn Blackwell (have a look at him online ;) ) His life was saved by Cannabis
Ms Blackwell, you have raised a legend!
I’m so happy for you and your son!
Wow - it was cannabis!! I'm so happy for you. I'll smoke to that
You know, It's actually funny you said this. I was trying to find a way to get in touch with these guys and say "guys, I've found him before, there's a much bigger story behind this to look into". Yet here you are. Best of luck to both of you. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help.
"That was a funny answer"......"I wasent joking"😂😂😂
"These are people that are just letting us play in the background" he says that as I am drawing Goku 😂
I have to get that tattoo , fight fear with funny , my life , my disease, finally found the right thing to say it all .
Tyrone Magnus was actually featured on Russel Howards show once
Charlene Raymond was he ?
It was for his Wookiee call during a Star Wars bit.
First time I've come across one of your videos, and I've gotta say, I'm very pleased with the channel name. Excellent work
I've been watching Russell for many years.. never watched this particular stand up routine before..Thank's for showing.."Fight fear with fun" Brilliant!
That and the story of the Westminster police officer are probably the best I have heard from him, brings tears to your eyes!
“Meerrrr” was a joke that was told earlier on in the show
Wow the guy on the left sure looks like he shouldn't be talking about a certain boating trip with uncle Brynn
Akasan seems like a chill dude the kind you'd go out and have a few drinks with
Gotta love Russell, one of our wackiest guys haha. Shame he isn't more popular in the US, I think Americans often struggle to understand some of the British humour, or maybe it's just that British comedians don't really get shown off in the US?

FIGHTING FEAR WITH FUNNY.
Akasan with that signature Japanese sense of humor
Agreed .. His reaction to the guy on his right was like .. ** Why you think this is funny ... Then he slowly gets the idea of a young teenage lad, that had to grow up afore his time and deal with the possibilty of dying ... Shame it took me 8 months to find this ..
Omg!!! What amazing history!!!
LOVE that kid, what an amazing person =) God bless him!
"Fight fear with funny" is a great quote, right there with Tex Avery's "Be serious about being funny".
The "mrrr" is part of a joke before this
There are no jokes in Russell Howard's standup.
He always did the mrrr thing. It's like an 'ooer missus' kind of thing
"FIght fear with.....what? I'm never going to forget that." :D
Greg: That was a funny answer.
Akasan: [whispers] That wasn’t a joke.
🤣
I Love Russell Howard. And all you guys have great smiles. Cheers!
If you watch the whole show you understand what the "meeeehhrr" noise means. This guy is hilarious, his family is comedy gold!
Russell Howard is an AMAZING human as well as a comedian. You have to watch more of this gig to understand why he said "Murrr" 😂😂
I was at this concert when this happend and the hole crowd love this lad.
Thanks guys....I almost did not watch this because I thought it would be too brutal for me. Glad I watched. :D
I want one of my kids to text everyone who comes to my funeral "Thanks for coming" from my phone after the event.
Love this video! Russell Howard's big in the UK, in fact, Tyrone Magnus' Star Wars reaction was featured on his 'Russell Howard's good news' programme. He's also been on Conan's TH-cam channel before too 👍
Yessss I love Russell and this is one of my favourite bits
Greg, Tyrone and Akasan need to collaborate. The Universe demands it!
Russel Howard is a legend
it doesnt matter how many times i see this part of his show and i went to it to see him live, im sitting here with tears streaming down my face, every bloody time lol.. i love you Russell Howhard ( thats a joke from another part of this show)
Russel Howard started out on BBC2's 'Mock The Week' with Dara O'Briain, Frankie Boyle and Andy Parsons. He always seemed in awe of Frankie and his DARK stuff...
Russel Howard is awesome, im pretty sure everyone in the UK loves him, he's huge here.
Found him on Netflix and OMG why doesn't he get or recognition!?!?!?

I love Russel Howard, he's my favourite comedian! TBH knowing who he is makes feel so British! 😂😂
Love Russel Howard! Seen him a few times. Totally amazing!
Russell Howard is brilliant. You should react to more of his skits. He had a show where he would comment on the state of the world. Russell Howard's good news. You'd love that! I'd love to watch reactions to that 😁👍
Genius!!! That was a great story and a fun reaction!
Man i live in the UK so i watch a lot of russel howard HES HILAIRIOUS
From the US and Russell is one of my all time fave comedians. More Americans should watch British TV.
I have been to a couple of funerals in Swaziland, where instead of mourning the deceased, the funeral is a celebration of his or her life. For my funeral I am thinking Muppet Show opening song, then to fire up the coffin while wheeling it down the isle to AC/DCs Highway to Hell.
The joke behind "Murr" is in his family when someone says something dirty without the intent of saying something dirty they say "Murr"
You shoulda been like "no, i wont come to your funeral" then when he asks why you say "cause you will live long enough to come to mine" that woylda been epic
I love Irish tradition of having a party at a wake to celebrate the life of the person who passed rather than mourn the death.
And now we can find Russell Howard all over TH-cam, check out his Good News show, it's hysterical.
Hilarious. One of my favourite comedians. Should watch the whole routine to understand the final word, mur!
I wanna Roast for my funeral
Nothing is more macabre to be insulted while being in the room deceased.
Russell Howard was a mainstay on a UK TV show called Mock the Week. It's hilarious.
AKASAN!
I'm from the U.S. and my favorite commedians are from the UK.
Only time I cried during Fast and Furious was me sitting there thinking "Why did I waste my time watching this film". Not cried since or seen a F and F since. So many tears saved.
oh god akasan, I forgot all about him after he dissed on jinx and then totally lost to him, glad he's doing ok
I love Russel Howard, man. He''s my favorite comedian.
How awesome is it when you find an awesome comedian that already has an awesome back catalogue?
Russell rides again!!!
Costume Party Funeral is a classy send off.
The boy came on TV and talked about his case, look up "I Secretly Gave My Son Cannabis to Save His Life | This Morning"
I love Russell Howard! His sets are amazing
My wife says if she get told she's dying she is having a wake party while she's still able too.
Good video guys👍stayed til the end.
I love their faces when the kid said murr, they obviously don't get the joke lmao
Great story by Russell. He always seems genuinely interested in people.
I'm crying. :,) Russell Howard is great. He does a weekly rundown show which is quite good.
On my tombstone it will read, "He never finished anyth"
Guy on the right: "Hi! I'm John Petrucci!"
Very proud to be from the same city as Russel
I did cry, cause it was so damn funny. Thanks Greg for sharing. Peace
Russell Howard is AMAZING
You should seriously react to literally any clip of Russel Howard and his mother, its hysterical
i was at this live showing. Russel Howard is hilarious asf.
Big Daddy Akasan!!! The Red Dreaded Lord himself!!!
Great reaction to one of the best stories told by a talented comedian.
Hey, I requested this on Facebook! Thanks!
that "murr" the kid said in the end is a reference to a joke he made earlier in that set!
Aaawww... I saw this show in Wembley... it was so good. 😍
Thanks for reacting to this special comedy video with a wonderful message by the hilarious Russell Howard! That is what the power of laughter and happiness can do to us! Not many TH-camrs react to this video other than the Renegades Media Group though.
I ALWAYS watch your entire videos
I found this comedian and story through a Facebook reel.
So basically, you play somebody's video all the way through whilst staring mindlessly in the background... and get the credit for their hard accomplishments?
Look up "mock the week"! He's on there a lot and its amazing ;)
