Carwow are trying too hard and content feels rehashed and getting Dull. Excellent review as ever from Mark and keep it up.
I'm actually surprised that the British government hasn't closed the PHEV loophole yet. Self-charging hybrids are a lot less offensive in terms of lab test consumption against real world, but then some people might actually use a PHEV properly so it'd be unfair to penalise them. Still, it hasn't stopped the government before.
I think there's still something to be said for a decent modern diesel, and it's good that BMW offer them here, certainly if you're lugging around people or property.

I own the X1 phev and it’s great. I do mainly local trips with some long trips and I can get 100 mpg. Yes I plug it in most days and I do not drive like a motoring journalist.
I think you'll get loads more subscribers soon. The X1 is decent, even though it's old now.

The X1 pictured is the old version though. Also, I’m in Australia and our gear stick is different to that. It’s the same as the X3.

If you want to feel perched above everything in the cabin, get a Tiguan. It's like you're sat on a box in the car ready to talk to your minions. You'll get out the car, look around, and wonder why it looks great on the outside, but completely stupid on the inside. You want want to drive fast round corners incase your upper body topples the centre of gravity.
BMW seats are historically uncomfortable to some. My mother claimed "this 5er (520i four-banger of 1975 ...) is so hard for me to sit in" in the seventies and I think this has not improved ever since.
"Mile high club member"... "Nope wrong way"... "High mile club" 🤣 very subtlety done but hilarious.
Shame BM stopped offering the 25d. Mine's
a 2017 Msport with 228ponies and 450 torques..

A great cabin, but the seats are rubbish...really? If the seats are rubbish, the cabin is rubbish!.......And yes, the seats are rubbish, I've sat in one. The Q3 is way better.
