I just purchased a 2022 BMW X1 20d and love it! There are so many features and it's difficult to know how they all work. First-time owners will need to read the manual several times or watch YT videos!
I don't get why so many people hate on this car because it shares the same platfirm as the countryman. BMW owns Mini and Mini is a great brand in terms of performance, so unless you're a BMW enthusiast I can't see any reason to hate the X1. It offers more space than the countryman, more horsepower and wears a premium badge.
t's a really nice car and your story is quite interesting. But, sorry, the interior video is a half disaster, the sunlight created a really bad reflection. Too bad. Maybe for a next video be more careful. Thanks for the explanation, it helped me to make my choice, in Italy (X1 sDrive 18d Xline Plus). Ciao
I purchased a 2021 X1 new. I was not sure about the vehicle just because I have had BMW sedans and coupe's in the past. Never a SUV. Well I was surprised how much I like it. FTI: Recently I have had a problem with my screen with not displaying the correct time nor connecting. I tried to delete my iPhone but the buttons would not respond. I called BMW Assistance and they hung up on me calling me incompetent , as I was not doing what they were telling me. I told her I was but the squares would not fill and respond. Tried the reboot but that did not work. So I took it to the BMW dealer and had them give it a try. They told me that something was wrong and probably would need a computer update. I was ok with that. but when I found out it was $500.00 for an update ????????What !!!!!!!!! I now what is intailed with a update, but not a $500.00 price. So I passed on it. I went home , got out my toold and proceeded to expose the battery, this is a little time consuming, but if you are having the problem that I was having it is most beneficial . I disconnected the battery for 10 minutes and reconnected it again. I started my X1 and everything was back as it should be. The time on my screen was correct and the squares could be populated, everything was working as it should. Spent a little time in this but I save $500.00.

I have an older BMW and cannot disengage the auto stop start engine feature. BUT in Sport modes, it automatically disengages. Of course, Sport mode must be set each time I drive it. Is the x1 same in this respect:: Probably.

Foot Pedals are fixed. Non adjustable.

Engine is tuned for 91. I don’t recommend a lower octane
