How about a random setting which randomizes what you get in return for each trade item. You, for example, find Kojiro in a random chest. Trade it to lost woods dude, he give you a skull token, or whatever. Later, you find Poacher Saw on a cow somewhere. You would have to make it to where trade items were progressive, and if you got one while you already had one, it switched with a junk item. Might be too complex to implement...
