I have only made as a coconut cake and poured eagle brand milk over hot cake and chill, then a container of cool whip with coconut sprinkled on top. The dry vanilla pudding was put in the dry cake mix before mixing. Everybody loves it. Easy to make the cake a day before and frost with the cool whip and coconut right before serving.
Some reason you just remind me of my grandma even though I'm white and she was too. I guess it's the sauce, soothing tone of your voice and your gentle sweetness

Sounds great! If you have some of the small to go boxes, we get them at Sam's and walmart just cut squares or slice it up and put in your container, I hope that you enjoy it because it is one of my favorite lol.

Ms Beverly is there another option beside Cherries. I just don't care for them. I just love cool whip on my cakes on summer time with fruit and of course pecans or walnuts. Ms Beverly you can always set aside the nuts . So family can add that on their own slice.

Was the cake cooled when you poured the warm pineapple combination on it?
Yes you cake needs to be cooled, I put mines on while it was still warm but cooled is best.

You can the pineapples either way, because I put it in the frig for 4 hours before cut it and it was perfect, had 2 slices lol.
