I have eaten scrambled eggs with kielbasa since childhood. My husband thinks you have to be closer to Poland to want to eat pickles with eggs, but he'll try them on Sunday or go hungry!
My grandson went to Israel and said that everywhere they ate breakfast the eggs were served with green olives and now you show me dill pickles, so I am going to try this, it looks delicious!
I just stumbled across your channel and I'm hooked! Every free minute is spent watching you all. I am 2nd generation born in America but I have no idea about my Polish roots as my grandfather and father both passed away. I have SO much I would like to know about family and what area he was from. Grandpa was brought here and put in an orphanage, where he stayed until he was old enough to be turned out on the streets. He passed away when I was 6 months old. Dad had a hard time talking about him. I like my eggs like Anna. Can't wait to try them with pickles. We had your ribs and kraut last night. SO, SO good. Getting things together to make kraut and farmers cheese. Thank you for sharing all of your recipes and your trips around Poland.
Perfect eggs. I remember a quote from Julia Child, something like: 'if your eggs look done in the pan, they will be over done on the plate'. I have some good pickles; I think breakfast for tomorrow. Cheers, Mark
Great twist on scrambled eggs. Scrammies are a blank canvas which begs to be painted with flavor. I combined both of these recipes and I'm eating them now for "brinner". Good call! Keep up the good work!
With the words of a fine Husband, "this looks Dill-icious!!! I am going to run to store for dill today and make these for dinner with some ham on the side and a piece of rye bread. Thanks Anna, always looking for a little help for dinner idea. Just love your channel
WOW. I am eating scrambled eggs with dill pickles (your recipe) and can’t believe how good they are. I never would have thought of this combination. Just delicious. Thank you for another keeper of a recipe.
We grew up on Jajko z Parówką or ze szczypiorkiem but never with pickles! Must try that one! Thank you for a great video once again. Enjoyed your dry egg debate. We have the same dry scrambled egg vs proper Polish egg discussion in our house. Since I am the cook, Polish eggs reign supreme!
Those were actually bordering on overcooked for my taste, but scrambled eggs are a very personal thing, as are eggs in general. I always love a good jajecznica though when made with love and care! Smacznego!
Had to make this as soon as I saw the video. I used Batampte half sour pickles because they’re my favorite. This is a delicious way to enjoy scrambled eggs. I think next time I will add some polish sausage. I love your channel! I’m a New Yorker with Polish roots and fortunate to live a short drive away from a polish neighborhood with great delis. Polish food (and beer😋) does not get the props they deserve. A few weeks ago I had my friends over for a Polish meal to honor Poland for all they are doing to help the Ukraine. I made your Borsht and it was delicious and very different than the one my Russian grandma used to make. Looking forward to more of your recipes!
It makes so much sense that dill pickles would be as tasty in scrambled eggs as they are in egg salad and deviled eggs. I’m going to make these! I’ve always put fresh dill in my scrambled eggs but somehow I hadn’t thought of dill pickles. Thank you!
I made these today after watching this. Used Bacik pickles with sweet peppers that I've been getting from Polish Food Direct after seeing the link you posted. Will be making this often.
Tried the Dill egg recipe again, but with a change, added a bit of flour (4 eggs +1.5 Tablespoon flour), then added 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella and cooked in a cupcake tin. They turned out great! Thanks again!
Just had a breakfast of dill pickles/dill weed scrambled eggs. Had to make pickles they are just over 2 weeks old in fermentation. My husband and I enjoyed them. I think making them as a baby quiche might be fun for a party. Will try that, once the fermentation is a bit further along. Thanks!
Got the kielbasa out for some scrambled eggs later! Can’t wait! Love your videos and learning new stuff! Pickles in eggs, that aren’t “dry”, is something I’ll have to try!! 💜
I agree with you I will salt and pepper my eggs before cooking. I like my scrambled eggs cook through but not dry, i will put dill on my eggs when cooking them. I will have to try with pickles since I like them.
Spent most of my childhood eating scrambled eggs this way for dinner, but for kids, and to be inexpensive, it was always a cut up hot dog instead of sausage. Will have to try your fancied up way!
I prefer my scrambled eggs VERY well cooked… and my dippy eggs over hard…the idea of dippy is appealing but I’m already putting jelly on my toast so I don’t need the dippy
I live in Poland and I'm British. Polish sausage is great fried but takes a lot longer to brown / colour than UK sausages (probably because they have a much higher meat content but I'm not sure). Yep a lot of Americans want rubber eggs 😂
I love dill, and I do tend to use pickles in ways foreign to the average American.... (I don't make pickles, though. I just use Claussen because they have a relatively fresh taste. But I also enjoy vinegar, so....)
Thank you for your video, merci. I will go and do your dill and picked scambled eggs. Cooked LoL DRY , tac or tak. In france I would ask pas tros cuit and it would arrive DRY , too cooked! I' m off to try my homemade cucumders in your dill (dry alas) eggs!
Absolutely, I have a recipe for smalec you can check out here, www.polishyourkitchen.com/polish-bacon-spread-smalec-2/ Mark loves to use it as the fat for scrambled eggs, sautés, even using it for cooking pancakes. Thanks for watching!
Scrambled eggs: *_FIRM._* I like fried egg yolk a little runny, but runny egg white is like snot, you should pardon me. I had to teach my housemate to remove scrambled eggs from the heat "just before they're done," because eggs will continue to firm up after they're done; I think that accounts for what you perceive as "dry;" if you let it firm up on the heat, they do dry out firther, and I think American cooks just take that as a fact of life: "eggs have to be that way, or they're not done." In other words, I agree with your husband.
Just hearing about the military action Between Ukraine and Russia and I'm hoping that the 2 of you are OK are ok and that your families are OK. I love your Podcast and I look forward to seeing your faces whenever I watch. Be well.
I think Perkin's restaurants call this "The Scrambler" Eggs, sausage or ham, fried potatoes, bell peppers, and sautéd onions scrambled to a velvety firm perfection!! But a real American would have them with either ketchup or salsa on top!!😋😋 Now we are talking big flavor!! I read that the key to making great scrambled eggs is to cook them slowly at a lower heat... well at least that's what Ina Gartner said! 😊 Pickles? I'm not sure about that... not for breakfast. Maybe if you were really hung over!! 😊😊 At least you didn't put beets and sauerkraut in your eggs!!! 😳😳😳 Take care!! Be well!!
Why is it necessary to have the camera person making stupid comments? His attempts at being humerous is dreadful and hardly laughable. I pity the cook. Paul Laboda

I always add dill in my scrambled eggs, so adding the pickles makes sense. We'll try it tomorrow! Thanks!
Pickle in scramble eggs? Hmm...will try this weekend! Thanks for this unusual recipe 😊

I like your degree of cooking with scrambled eggs
Thanks for posting this video, never thought about pickles in eggs; guess what I'm making this weekend?
Getting crazy with the dill!
Interesting. Pickles and eggs. I will be trying this dish soon. Thanks
I love my eggs soft also and I put dill and chives along with onion. My late husband liked a little cheese in his also.
Soft scrambled eggs are the best. And I do mean soft. I live in Arkansas, USA. Great videos.
I love dill, will have to find pickles in a salt brine. I could not make them until summer time here. Nice video. Thanks and take care.

I just made the eggs with pickles and fresh dill. It’s very delicious!
Ok, this is gorgeous, I LOVE IT.. just amazing, polish people, pickles and eggs, this is my kind of life!! LOVE YOU curly cue!, gosh I love your hair!
Growing up my late father would cook on the grill but not in the kitchen With the exception of kielbasa and eggs which is still a favorite of mine.
Those were actually bordering on overcooked for my taste, but scrambled eggs are a very personal thing, as are eggs in general. I always love a good jajecznica though when made with love and care! Smacznego!

Good morning! This sounds wonderful. Going to try this recipe. Hello from SW Florida.
This could become my favorite breakfast.
Ooooh this looks like the perfect hangover food! :-)
This looks eggseptionally good and yes another person who likes there scrammies the consistency of smooth peanut butter. So good.
So happy I found you Anna...I have been making your recipes..Mark cracks me up!...lol
I made these today after watching this. Used Bacik pickles with sweet peppers that I've been getting from Polish Food Direct after seeing the link you posted. Will be making this often.
You cooked them perfect
Scrambled eggs and pickles: how did I not know about this? Yum!!! 😍 Also, you are right: eggs NEED salt!
Tried the Dill egg recipe again, but with a change, added a bit of flour (4 eggs +1.5 Tablespoon flour), then added 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella and cooked in a cupcake tin. They turned out great! Thanks again!

I can't say the pickle idea makes sense to me but we're going to give it a try this week 🥒🥚👍💝

So just saw this video. How do all the scrambled eggs compare to field chow eggs and the MRE Omelette?
These eggs are light years better lol! I freaking hated the MRE omelette, I would rather starve! Thanks for watching!
Always ate kielbasa and eggs -- even as a sandwich between rye bread. I'll take the eggs the way you cooked them -- no 10 second addition. :-)

Place a wet paper towel or dishtowel next to the onions to help your eyes from watering. I am so making the dill pickle scrambled eggs!!!
PICKLES and EGGS???? That's the weirdest thing I ever heard!!! Tried it, and, NOW my whole family loves it. Thanks Anna.
That’s what I thought too. 😄
hi from wisconsin I like my scrambles wetter than you do :)
I am an American of Polish decent. My family likes scrambled eggs wet & runny
I like my eggs on the soft side as well. Don't like how some restaurants here chop the eggs and their like paper
I think the phrase is "firm curd" or "soft curd" scrambled eggs.
Are these recipes included in your cookbook?
This recipe isn't in the cookbook. Maybe in the next one! Thanks for watching!
Hello, can you please post the recipe for Pickles and eggs. I couldn't find it on your site.
Butter, onion, pickles in brine, eggs, dill... done and done 🥰
