How to change or replace a skirting Board behind a cental heating radiator in one piece

What if the pipes are the flexible white plastic types ? In that situation can you just lift the radiator off without disconnecting the pipes / valve from the radiator and then put on blocks ? I only need to move the radiator out an inch or so and sure there is enough play in the pipes to come out an inch ? Would it work or am I likely to flood the floor :-) ?

Looks suspiciously easy when you do it, I think I'll call a plumber!

Or just tighten the olive on the right which stops the flow. Then turn the trv valve to 0 and your done. No chance of slipping with silly clamping tools
