Tired of having to adjust permanently your altitude and heading when flying missions with the Cessna 172 Skyhawk. Here is how to use Auto Pilot feautures for having a rock steady altitude and heading
simple clear effective! Thanks! More than one thing I have to see how to manage is the speed of the simulation... I know how to speed it up or slow it down but I can't find out how to know how fast it is, or reset its speed to normal...
Try all steps in the video, and then hit the button (bottom left) FLC: Flight Level Change, do this when you have the desired speed, and the plane should then maintain that speed
@@adamu6941the number of times you press increase to speed it up is the number of times you press decrease to slow it down. Also if you set a stop watch timer in the log you can know if you’re normal if the counter is normal speed
following the tutorial exacly like you do it but my cessna keeps turning the wrong direction and just "swings" left and right. But alt works fine. Please help!
in MS2020, the recommended cruise altitude is shown in the nav log in the flight planner. Now in MS2024 everything got moved to the EFB, so where do i find the recommended cruising altitude now?
@@JohnWill-JW maybe you can plan on SimBrief and see which are all the recomendation (cruising speed, altitude and etc..) ... I think there is a bug at this moment..
You’re the man. I don’t like any video over 10 mins so this was perfect and to the point. Keep making more vids man. I’m subbed.
i just got downvoted to hell for asking for 10 minute videos, the guy had sent a link for a 1 hour 44 minute video on auto pilot.
Thank you, for thisclear concise tutorial,I found it very useful
Thank you so much!

@@sonicgazellepilot thanks, I was talking about speeding up the simulator, not the plane itself ;) sim rate

In settings map some keys or buttons to "INCREASE SIM RATE" and "DECREASE SIM RATE" 😉
Thanks for the video. How can I make the iPad bigger?
Via the settings icon you can make it large
thx!🙌
Welcome!

Did you check that NAV is turned off ? That would make the plane follow GPS in stead of heading mode
but you already have the route, is it possible to use Nav mode?
You can use nav mode and catch the glide path with approach button

You can set the cruising altitude on the top right of the flight planner in the EFB
@@sonicgazellepilot yes but my question is HOW do i know what the recommended cruising alt is? before i can even set it
because it used to be an information right from the nav log in MSFS2020, now it's no longer showing
