Try all steps in the video, and then hit the button (bottom left) FLC: Flight Level Change, do this when you have the desired speed, and the plane should then maintain that speed

@@adamu6941the number of times you press increase to speed it up is the number of times you press decrease to slow it down. Also if you set a stop watch timer in the log you can know if you’re normal if the counter is normal speed

You can set the cruising altitude on the top right of the flight planner in the EFB

@@sonicgazellepilot yes but my question is HOW do i know what the recommended cruising alt is? before i can even set it

because it used to be an information right from the nav log in MSFS2020, now it's no longer showing

@@JohnWill-JW maybe you can plan on SimBrief and see which are all the recomendation (cruising speed, altitude and etc..) ... I think there is a bug at this moment..

If you want to have the realism of VATSIM ATC, you would wait for ATC to assign a SID and a STAR

It should be "FS2020" , .pln format (in latest version of Navigraph)

I am afraid Navigraph is currently only on PC. However in world map you can select a departure (SID) and an arrival (STAR).

@@sonicgazellepilot lol it was the first time I had something like that happen in flight sim '20, have had random failures on for years. I actually heard something weird on the right side of my headphones and the plane started to yaw slightly, the autopilot made it barely noticeable though. So I took a look at the instruments panel and saw the number #2 indicator rolling all the way back to idle, when it should have been at about 67% or so (same as other one) and the thrust levers were still in their climb positions. So yeah, I hit ATC to request 18k to start troubleshooting while staying on track (was close to Florida coast so diverting was super quick). And I think MS fixed that ATC bug too, I was able to have ATC fly me all the way in, with proper clearances, altitude decreases, and everything. Though, I did get into the approach pattern and didn't go direct to a closer waypoint. Only took an extra few minutes or so, not bad. Thanks, again! Super helpful and now I really want to learn a lot more about managing the computer. Looking to see how to (and if I can) do a whole flight plan gate-to-gate with high altitude airways and the proper waypoints, approaches and all that. PS: Subbed and bought you what hopefully amounts to a nice cup of coffee. Will check out your channel more after work today.

@@sonicgazellepilot heck yeah, that'd be awesome. I took a look around the failure parameters and it appears you can set failures for different parts of your flight. This one was during climb (though, I was very close to cruising altitude). I want to try this again in different scenarios, like earlier in climb and at cruise over various areas.

Hi Benjamin, you need a good PC and a joystick. Here is my setup: - Intel core i7 10700 - MSI GeForce RTX 3080 GAMING Z TRIO 10G - 32 GB Corsair Ram - Thrustmaster T.16000M Fcs Hotas Flight Stick

Bu it should work on a RTX 3060 pc with 16 GB RAM. Or consider using an XBOX series x playing console (much cheaper) with compatible joystick and a mouse. Good luck !
