Well this a pleasant surprise, I enjoyed this Legend of Zelda lore narration more than I was expecting! This proves to me that The Legend of Zelda games are indeed far more than a gaming experience, but rather a life experience and a good one at that. I'm a massive fan of your theories, but one thing I would contest is the idea that the Divine Beasts are powered by soul energy. It is highly likely they are controlled by soul energy, but we know that Vah Naboris draws energy from the sand, and when its feet are shot, it completely shuts down despite Urbosa still being inside. This idea also applies to Vah Ruta and Vah Rudania too. Vah Ruta has waterfalls beside its power nodes, so it's likely working as a hydroelectric plant. Rudania may work off of converting the heat from Death Mountain to electric power. The only one this isn't obvious with is Vah Medoh. Medoh doesn't touch the ground in usual service and has no clear method of using wind power, although this is still possible, maybe even using auto rotation to stay airborne without using power. This also explains why Vah Ruta specifically stops working. Instead of it being that the Champion has moved on, it could be that Ruta has simply ran out of power, which explains why only it shuts down. Assuming Medoh uses wind power, then it is still experiencing wind, Naboris' feet are still touching the ground and Rudania is still on Death Mountain, but Ruta is not in water, it shut down because it is the only one that has been removed from its power source. This is my theory, but it begs the question of where Ruta went. It explains the others, they were still operating which is why they aren't visible in the trailer, for Tears of The Kindom, they were just moved. Ruta though is not so clear, it shut down completely, highly removed from its source of power, becoming hundreds of tons of stone and metal stuck on a mountain, unable to turn on, unable to be relocated, and yet it was. I hope the Divine Beasts disappearance is actually explained and it's not just that Nintendo goes "I dunno, it's your best guess"

The ancient hero armor is a red haired zonai. We also see a green bodied red haired hero in the mural. I believe that the 8th heroine is a half gerudo half zonai, or the mother of that hero. That hero ends up defeating an ancient version of Gannon. Perhaps this is linked to why the zonai are gone by the time we get to see Rauru and his sister. Rauru not only IS the royal family, but he is also who built the temple of time according to legend. We know of legends of Rauru also reincarnating, however we also don't know the average lifespan of the zonai. So it's fun to wonder - how old is the Rauru we met in totk. Did he build the temple of time? He talks about how important it was to him, however the kingdom of hyrule doesn't fully exist in his time. Even his castle is in the great plateau, not Hyrule castle. Hyrule castle seems to have been built over the seal in botw, not the temple. Or, perhaps there are two seals in botw. Speculation on that can go crazy. I think there may be a link between the zonai and the twili. I choose to believe, with no evidence at all, that the lineage of zonai and gerudo eventually becoming interlopers and banished or killed, is how we end up with a red haired midna in TP. 🤷♀️ It's fun to speculate!!
Additional note, rauru had a somewhat strange reaction the first time Zelda mentioned Link, and Sonia send I to prompt him to stfu. I don't know what to make of that yet.
Third speculation I have is the idea that the three goddesses could in fact, have been zonai. Zonai who, for some reason, went through draconification and still roam Hyrule today. Maybe Hylia was simply a hyrulian who was wise, and able to weild the triforce. When the three zonai decided they had to become dragons, they tasked her with the protection of Hyrule. Since then, the legend has taken over, and rather than a direct reincarnation - Zelda is simply a family relative. Her powers actually coming from being part Zonai. Something that didn't survive the legends over time.

A year and a half ago I crushed a vertebrae and was going crazy doing the prescribed nothing. I bought a Switch, Mario Brothers and Zelda, Breath of the Wild. Mario was too stressful and visually busy for me to play, so I plugged in BOTW..... OH MY GOODNESS! I come to this game naive to the previous Zelda games, the lore. I am still discovering areas I have not seen, although I have beat the game four times🤣. This game still amazes me. I truly appreciate your point of view. Thank you.
What if the Zonai are a split off group of the Shieka, and the Zonai soliders are piloting the divine beast on the tapestry. The king sees how powerful they have became and orders them to cease there pursuit of technology. They chase the Zonai away and the rest of the shieka tribes split into the two groups we see in BOTW.
I’ve been listening to this again when falling alseep and finally sat and listened while awake. Now that we know what TOTK became, it’s so very obvious that the Zelda team should just hire YT Zelda lorists to write their next game.

He doesn't know that - he's looking for power and dominion. Even at the beginning of Ocarina before he gets the Triforce of Power, he curses the Great Deku Tree and starves the Gorons. He's only ever after power and control. He doesn't know that his personal imbalance will break the ancient relic.
He wants it so he could cast an unlimited wish and become ruler of the world. He is able to assemble and used it, but like you said it has a limited failsafe

Zonai appear to predate the sheikah. Possibly the sheikah are descendants of a sect of the zonai?
