For the last one, I think they should not pursue this person. As soon as they start dating, girls are taught to dismiss subtle things like physical attraction in fear of being viewed as shallow. In movies and tv shows there are constant depictions of girls settling for guys based on their other characteristics even when they don't find them attractive but you rarely see that in vice versa. Constantly girls have always been taught to settle, well, no more. Physical attraction is important and if you're not feeling the attraction to someone I feel like you're doing both yourself and that person a disservice by pursuing them.
i 1000% agree. As a woman, I have had more than a few relationships I would talk myself into in the past. The guy would be great, funny, nice, caring, but I was not physically attracted. At the 6 month mark, I tended to slowly distance myself from the guy, for no legit reason on his part. I would feel bad and somehow sabotage the relationship. PLEASE don't be like the old me. Attraction is important!! You should be attracted to your partner on some level. Don't force it.
You will end up messing up a good friendship and a good person. I would advise to just stay friends, until something changes re: attraction.
In my opinion, I agree with Josh and Isi's statement. Don't give an answer and think about what you really want and don't force it as well. What kind of attraction are you not feeling? Is it physical? Is it just the way he dresses or how he carries himself?
For the girl that has a defensive BF. I say it may be a trauma response. For me I was the one that felt like I was being came for and would get defensive. My bf would remind me that he wouldnt do that to me intentionally and emphasized that he is a safe space for me. And i had to work on my emotional intelligence. I bought a book emotional intelligence 2.0. I also have had some counseling. When it comes to loving or leaving him, I believe that will be determined by his willingness to acknowledge his part in yalls poor communication.
Love this video. In regards to the sex before marriage thing, I do want to say, in the Biblical era, sex maybe would've defined people being married; however the Bible also says to obey the Laws of the land Romans 13:1-2 (as long as they don't go against God Acts 5:29). So if you live in a country that defines marriage as signing legal papers before witnesses, then until u do that, you're fornicating loves. I shared similar views about the 'technicalities of marriage' and was surely humbled by the Holy Spirit, so I had to be responsible and share.. Love y'all ,stay blessed.

Josh you are spot-on with the "Why don't you..." That's an instant attack with words. We learned that in our premarital classes, and this was a great refresher. In my opinion, I agree with Josh and Isi's statement. Don't give an answer and think about what you really want and don't force it as well. My thoughts are that half of you know that he is your person, I say this because of how you described y'alls friendship, and the other half doesn't want to ruin a good thing and that's okay.
Potential Questions to Ponder Over:
1. What kind of attraction are you not feeling?
2. Is it something that you can work on?
3. How did you guys meet?
4. Throughout this 5 year friendship, has he dated or attempted to date anyone?
5. If you still don't feel an attraction towards, would you be alright with him pursuing another woman with the same energy and time that he gives you?
6. Would your romantic partners be okay with you and you friends realtionship/ dynamic?
7. If the attraction can be worked on and NOT FORCED, is he worth the risk to pursue something more with?
