    Surinam is a nice country with the most diverse friendly peoples in South America and the most dilicious kitchen in the world that I have experienced. This colonial Dutch country has been through a lot and deserves the best. Unbelievable after all the misery that they will soon be next to Guyana and Venezuela become 3 of the richest countries with their oil and gas reserves in South America and the world. Guyana has been working on the oil field for a few years now, where you can see the difference in terms of income and facilitating the necessary sources for the population, while Suriname still has to wait to realize that for their population, which I think will also happen if the oil billions or dollars coming in soon. I wish them all the best there

    "Fijn jou te leren kennen" is an awkward phrase hahah. Maybe that's why he got the lukewarm responses. It means "it's nice getting to know you", which makes it slightly more intimate than "nice to meet you". Nice to meet you is: leuk je te ontmoeten. The Google translation sucked :p

    The fact that you cannot go to a Mosque at any given time (if you are not Muslim) says a lot about the religion. Doesn't matter if its Ramadan. In Suriname in all the other temples of Hindu, Christian or Buddhist religion, you can go any time. Even if you are not following that religion, and I think that is beautiful. Why are you not allowed to visit 'god's home' at any time? 😂 Muslims are so funny

    The lingua franca is sranan(tongo) NOT taki taki. What an insult!
    Why are you using the word 'weird' to describe Suriname (and the rest of the Guyanas)? it is just different from the predominant Latin American countries in South America. We are more Caribbean.
    I did not like this vlog, we had vloggers in the past who were more respectful and showed nice places of the country.

    • @Taktraveljapan
      @Taktraveljapan  หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      I apologize if it made you uncomfortable. I know the Guianas are more like Caribbean nations. I am sure the expression I used, “weird,“ is not decent enough, but it is more like stimulating me that there are nations that have totally different cultures from other Latin countries. Either way, I fully enjoyed Suriname and found people very respectful. 🇯🇵🤝🇸🇷

      That is true but not fully i have lived in surinam for 10 years and the conclusion i made with the opinions of the two people (africans and natives) is that those two not discriminate each other but live in HARMONY and PEACE
      In the history of suriname you will learn that when the slaves ran away from the plantation they met with natives in the jungle and with time and love they have learned each others cultures and believes(what orgininally was pretty much the same)
      Natives believe in ancentory and living with and by the elements
      African believe the same thing
      In suriname i have only seen discrimination between the indian and african people

      You are correct bradda I live in the Netherlands and my parents were born there and I have done a bit of research on the discrimination against the indigenous it's true but the government is so racist and discriminating to the indigenous I read somewhere that indigenous tribe and villages where protected against miners and so on in a radius of 5 km but Bouterse changed this many people in the Netherlands think that the Africans are the Surinamese people and they are confused when I tell them that this isn't true I've also watched documentaries about a few tribes I'm fascinated by the way the indigenous tribes live and still try to trive amongst this
