my friend had a male guinea pig and she stopped caring about him and didnt put hay in his cage or care for him and she said she would release them in the woods because it was a quicker death then in her home. then she put him in a box and put him in the mailbox with no holes in the box. or water. or anything.
well thats a terrible thing to do. When someone chooses to adopt a domesticated animal, it's their responsibility to care for it for the entirety of its life. Her actions are considered animal abuse, and she should have consequences for her irresponsible behaviour and cruelty. I hope the guinea pig was rescued.

+Aeron Ang The fleece and towels are shaken outside before they are washed in the washing machine, and then put into the dryer....just like regular laundry! I sweep up all the poop and hay everyday, and I fully change the fleece and towels in their cage once a week! And yes, guinea pigs will pee on the beds in their cage, that's why they are made with absorbent materials and fleece! The urine will wick into the absorbent material and keep the fleece dry :)
