Fractal Universe do you have mice if you don't then I recommend getting a hamster or a rat as they are easier to train . nothing against mice they are great pets but not for beginners I know this from experience
Melissa Danielle in my opinion, out of hamsters, mice, and rats, mice are the best for first time pet owners. Hamsters basically sleep all day, and tend to be nippy. Rats are great but they’re high maintenance. Mice are really sweet and easy to take care of. Also they are very intelligent, so you can train them and form a bond with each other.
Your mouse "that's a character" is just like my little Pepsi i had a few years ago. She's probably just a little over protective. Pepsi nipped me so much, never drew blood, but still i tried everything to bond with her but nothing worked we were best buds, but ONLY out of the cage. LOL
Hi! This is the first video I have watched of yours and do you think you can make a video of what bedding best used for mice because I raised mine and I am going to raise another one and I wanted to know what bedding is best used for mice plz and thank you!!❣️
As long as you don't add too many high/climbing items to the cage! But it totally depends on your mouse - some of them are escape artists and can definitely find a way to climb out!
Thank you! Yes Gruyere is still quite nippy, but I think that just is her over-protectiveness, like your Pepsi .:) As for why I got mice, I actually had a pair of females years ago, and really enjoyed them. After having Syrians for about 4 years, I decided I wanted to own mice again instead of a hamster! Months later, found these guy on Kijiji and they've been with me ever since .:)
That's really cool! I absolutely adore my mice! I've got a mouse that is quite the character as well... Good little Elsi! LOL She is always wanting attention so she climbs on the wall and chews the bar and then grabs on with her front feet launching herself off with her bottom feet slamming into the wall making a huge racket. So after trying everything to get her to stop i decided to train her to ring a bell in her cage if she wanted out. So now she goes by the bell hitting it with a paw while chewing on the bars! Oh what am i ever gonna do with her? She drives me nuts but i still LOVE her to pieces! LOL
+HomePets Yes like +boscoitalics said, it really depends on the animal itself for friendliness. Some animals are just naturally more friendly towards humans! As for biting, all animals can bite. Again, it comes down to your specific animal. Some are more nippy than others. For my mice, Gruyere is the only one that has ever tried to bite me out of defence (ie. not a curious nibble because my hand smelled like food), and I've had 6 mice! The biggest difference is definitely energy with mice and hamsters (Syrian). Mice are SOO active and constantly moving...they're very entertaining to watch!
I got my 2 mice yesterday the actually look like this 🐭🐹. The white one is called blossom 🌸and the beige and white one is called peachie 🍑they’re so cute!!! 😆💗
+Vincent Alexander Yes it is a struggle! Usually I use a dustpan and broom to sweep up the bigger pieces of hay, and then use a shop vac! They are way better than regular vacuums since they don't clog as easily. :)
Huh. I have the handheld dust pan and that helps, but most of the time I have to sit there picking pieces out of the loops in the carpet. XD I'll have to try it.. O.o because the vacuum I have is.. kind of crap. It literally picks up hay and sunflower seed shells (I have 4 rats- well not 14 since my girl had babies
Vincent Alexander Yeah it is super annoying! But my pets love the carpet (especially my rabbit) so I don't mind the extra work! After getting a shop vac though, my life has become so much easier...Mostly because my household vacuum would clog easily which was ruining the vacuum!
Are there different breeds of mice? Or just fancy mice I know rats are only 2 common species but I wanna know more about mice :D also my rat has wheel tail and he's never had a wheel is it possible that your mouse has it genetically?
Coral's Diy's Check out local rescues, shelters, humane societies, etc! If not, always look online on buy-and-sell websites like Kijiji and Craigslist! That's how I got my quad!:)
***** thank you so much I got 3 female mice that are sisters and are about 5 month's old. I got them yesterday for my birthday and thank you because you help me learn so much about per mice and so I hope that my mice live a long happy life!!! :)
I feed them a variety of different seed mixes and store-bought extrusion...just make sure to find a food lower in protein, especially if you have pet store mice!
Ok i will definitely check those items out! As of now I have two mice and they both seem really happy besides the fact i dont have any chew treats for them. I will go buy some this coming Friday. Thanks alot :)
OrangeCreeper217 Right now I just have a rabbit, guinea pigs, mice and dogs....in years past I've had hedgehogs, degus, hamsters, and ALOT more guineas haha
A degu is a small rodent native to Chile. In my opinion, they are kind of like a mix between a chinchilla and a rat- they are super cute!! Very social animal (live in groups), and they are also super fast and avid chewers (no plastic cages/accessories allowed!) They aren't a super popular pet, but they live about 6-8 years and are definitely worth looking into! :)
Supertastic Animal Land that is not true for all mice. House mice live together in groups and help each other to take care of the young. Maybe field mice live apart, but that's because it's easier to live alone in places like that. There is no popular youtube mouse owner that says these things that you say. And i watched your videos on your channel and there are several other things you do that most mouse owners would get on to you for. Maybe your mice seem happy, but you can't say everyone should treat theirs the same way you treat yours. It is indeed true that mice can get very lonely if not kept in groups. Even people in the labs don't make them live apart if they don't have to.
Awwww I'm so glad that they're going to have such a great life with you! They are all absolutely gorgeous - I love mousies!!!!
Beautiful beautiful mice. They are super lucky to have had you find them...they struck gold with a great momma!! :)
Aaaw I love mice! Looking forward to see more mice videos :o) They are so cute xx
Videoing pets is one of my favorite things! And my mouse just had babies so documenting that has kept me super busy.
Excellent video. You do a very good job explaining things. I have mice myself, will have to check your other videos.
Can you do a video on how to bond with mice?
Fractal Universe do you have mice
if you don't then I recommend getting a hamster or a rat as they are easier to train . nothing against mice they are great pets but not for beginners I know this from experience
calypso clark 2 I'm a mouse breeder and heavily socialize our mice just always looking for advice/tips.
Melissa Danielle I agree with Oliver. Rats are very high matenince and require a lot of space. hamsters sleep and don't really bond with you.
@@melissadanielle4437 really!? I've had 3 mice as my starters little pet. They are pretty easy and nice and cute. That's my experience

Your mouse "that's a character" is just like my little Pepsi i had a few years ago. She's probably just a little over protective. Pepsi nipped me so much, never drew blood, but still i tried everything to bond with her but nothing worked we were best buds, but ONLY out of the cage. LOL

"I don't know why she's so fat" 😂😂😂 me e3e
I have the same zoozone cage as this but the lid is dented and won't slide in; do you think I could keep the lid off without my mouse escaping?
As long as you don't add too many high/climbing items to the cage! But it totally depends on your mouse - some of them are escape artists and can definitely find a way to climb out!
OnceUponAPig what size is it? large or medium? and how much does it cost? :-)
The only thing on Gruyère's mind is escape!!
I have mice they're SO SWEET!!! I have a question... Why did you decide to get mice?

They're all named after cheese! 😄
Where did you get and what is it called? Your playpen fence.
I bought it from petsmart years ago...you can probably find something similar still sold there!
Awesome thanks!
Love your mice ! :D Mine is Teddy!
1:47 , You're lucky. I have a wooden wheel and my mouse like to poop on it :D
And now, when I see this after 8 Friccin months you said that...
I think it's a good think your rodent poops there! It's easier to spot clean
Do mice bite? Or they are more friendly than the hamsters?😕 Please reply...👍
+HomePets hi, my mice are friendlier then my current hamster but it just depends on the animal. its different for everyone though :)
+HomePets Yes like +boscoitalics said, it really depends on the animal itself for friendliness. Some animals are just naturally more friendly towards humans! As for biting, all animals can bite. are mice and rats safe for humans?
Wietse van der Wal Yes 😊
Wietse van der Wal wtf
I got my 2 mice yesterday the actually look like this 🐭🐹. The white one is called blossom 🌸and the beige and white one is called peachie 🍑they’re so cute!!! 😆💗
Really, really curious as how you get hay out of the carpet. It's a huge pain with me
+Vincent Alexander Yes it is a struggle! Usually I use a dustpan and broom to sweep up the bigger pieces of hay, and then use a shop vac! They are way better than regular vacuums since they don't clog as easily. :)

They are so cute🐭🐭
They're so cute!!!!
Do they not climb the fence?
they cannot reach the top of the cage where the lid is.:)
Your mice have wheel tail I think. You probably knew that sorry if you said it in the video I'm kinda skipping around looking at them.
whats the cage?
Are there different breeds of mice? Or just fancy mice I know rats are only 2 common species but I wanna know more about mice :D also my rat has wheel tail and he's never had a wheel is it possible that your mouse has it genetically?
your description say something about a heggie do you have one? P.S Love you! 😘
Yes I used to have one about a year ago...I had him for 6 years! I guess I forgot to update the description, ill be sure to change it haha! ❤️

.
Coral's Diy's Check out local rescues, shelters, humane societies, etc! If not, always look online on buy-and-sell websites like Kijiji and Craigslist! That's how I got my quad!:)

What kind of mice are those cause I have mice but they are mush smaller and are called fancy mice
+Kittenfun7 mine are fancy mice as well :)
+OnceUponAPig They don't look too fancy to me. They don't have monocles or top hats. 😉
+OnceUponAPig But seriously, what is actually the difference between regular mice and fancy mice?
+Vanellope'sCorner there's not really a difference it just means domestic mouse like a mouse that's been bred by a breeder
+Kiara Bates in other words there's no point in spending the extra money.
They are super cute 😄 such pretty girlies ❤😍
Stephy Boo me neither
Aww cute mice

I feed them a variety of different seed mixes and store-bought extrusion...just make sure to find a food lower in protein, especially if you have pet store mice!
Ok thank you :)!
Ok i will definitely check those items out! As of now I have two mice and they both seem really happy besides the fact i dont have any chew treats for them. I will go buy some this coming Friday. Thanks alot :)

+Everyday Ashley No, it's a type of cheese, just like the other names! ;D

+Robin Strauss lol....alot!!! I've had about 7-10 pets consistently for the last 4 years! Before that, I had about 5 pets consistently
+OnceUponAPig What are your pets? I know you have a bunny a few guinea pigs and now some mice, but are there any more?
OrangeCreeper217 Right now I just have a rabbit, guinea pigs, mice and dogs....in years past I've had hedgehogs, degus, hamsters, and ALOT more guineas haha
What's a/What are degus? (I am unsure whether it's a plural form or singular.)
A degu is a small rodent native to Chile. In my opinion, they are kind of like a mix between a chinchilla and a rat- they are super cute!! Very social animal (live in groups), and they are also super fast and avid chewers (no plastic cages/accessories allowed!) Will you ever get a hedgehog again?

Those guys are rats! Not mice. They are way too big to be mice. Check out "Creek Valley Critters" to see mice. Your black bunny is beautiful.
I can reassure you 100% those are mice. I have both and they are drastically different.
LOVE THIS VIDIO I AM A SUBSCRIBER HIIII IF YOU SEE THIS 😄😄😄👋
you sound a bit like annas animals!
Gouda looks pregnant :)
Your mice look like Rats!! Adorable nonetheless!!
The fat mice are most likely pregnant. I would keep an eye on that. From pet stores you never know what could happen in that case.😋
+Caitlynn kruppa Yeah, i thought that at first but they actually are just fat. I've had them longer than their gestation period!
Black one is pregnant or mamary tumors
actually neither, the vet checked her out and determined she was just overweight. She lived to the ripe age of 3 though!
The chubby mice need to lose weight it not good for them being chubby

The Smallest Mouse You Have Is A Dwarf Mouse So She Can Live With Other Dwarf Mice But You Should Separate Your Syrian Mice ASAP
There is no such thing as a dwarf mouse or Syrian mouse. You are thinking of hamsters.
I’m laughing so much 😂😂
Your Mice Are Together You Need To Separate Your Mice Very Soon Or They Will Fight
Supertastic Animal Land they're females and they've gotten along all their lives so far, why does she need to separate them? Females live together.
openotaku All My Mice Are Alone They Are So Happy And Healthy
Supertastic Animal Land that doesn't mean that other mice need to be separated. Why did u separate your mice? Did they fight?
openotaku I Always Keep Mice Alone Cause Mice Don't Live Together In The Wild They Are Factually Solitary
Supertastic Animal Land that is not true for all mice. House mice live together in groups and help each other to take care of the young. Maybe field mice live apart, but that's because it's easier to live alone in places like that. There is no popular youtube mouse owner that says these things that you say.
