Thanks for the vid. I do a lot of solo remote trips with my DR. Watching your vid, made me realise, that if I get stuck in a creek alone with a drowned DR I'll be in a spot of bother getting it out by myself. Immediate thought, carry at least some webbing/rope & a pulley. At least then there could be some slow progress compared to none. Cheers
I crossed rivers in Haiti on a rally with the Suzuki Dr650 completely under water and it kept on moving as if nothing had happened. Amazing bike. I now own my 3rd one.
They are such good bikes! Hard to beat in my opinion! I like them so much I bought myself a new as they aren’t getting imported into Australia anymore. It got a bit of a hard introduction to the world as you can see. Still can’t part with my old one. Don’t think I ever will 😁
Dang looks like its getting so close to the airbox. Unreal, entire front tire is submerged and engine is running. Thanks for giving me confidence to do deeper stream crossings
I've been through there quite a few times recently but never have seen that much water running in those crossings (half of them where dry last time I went through) I probably would have turned the T7 around at the sight of the first one :-) - Great watching you guys getting the DR's through (makes me want to get one again)...good effort and great teamwork btw...
Just a word of advice due to multiple big trips including creek crossings !!!! you are on motorbikes so you can ride, ride, and keep on ridin until you find the lwest shortest creek cossings. because spending half the trip pushing, flushing, reparing, drying, recouperating fom failed creek crossings absaloutly destroys the adventure.
Hey guys, nice crazy ride. How is it possible that bikes didn't suck any water? The water was higher than the airbox! Are you using some kind of waterproof filter/sock? I'm so afraid that my bike will suck water and looking for some "bullet-proof" solution (bmw dakar has dry sump, 2.3l oil, kinda pain to change oil on this bike, let alone several times).
Thanks Martin. Nothing fancy was used. All the bikes have a stock airbox with the snorkel still in it. I dare say that and luck definitely had something to do with it!
I am amazed how capable the DR is!. I bet you all have to rebuild starters and replace wheel bearings and chain...right? Great job BTW! Color me impressed...very impressed! I wonder what other bikes could accomplish that? Can you think of a BETTER CHOICE of motorcycle ? I love my DR650. However at 70 and being a remnant of a man thx to covid, I would not try what you guys did. Yes indeed I am amazed and once again great job! Sub'd & T-Up!
It’s great bike hey! Can’t fault it! Have only had to replace the wheel bearings fortunately, but not solely from this ride. I honestly can’t think of a better bike tbh. Mate that’s awesome I hope I’m still riding my DR at 70! If so I’ll be a very happy man. Thanks heaps for watching and subscribing! All the best! 😎
🇦🇺😎👍I dread the thought of taking my DRasaurass off road anywhere even though it has all the $$$s spent on it but it’s toooo bloody heavy …..man you wouldn’t want to drown the bastard cause you wouldn’t get it started🤣and you’d never clutch start it….brother I doubt I’ll sleep tonite after watching this video….wow I’ve done some extreme dirt riding in my time but those creek /river crossings🤣take the cake……un-believable !….Youse blokes must have balls of steel😳….great video🏁🏁🏁
Thanks for the comment mate! The bikes are pretty bulletproof! They have been drowned multiple times and still don’t miss a beat 😂. My poor bike was only 300ks old at the time and it’s still going well. Best way to christen it I reckon ;) Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed it! 😎
Hey mate! Thanks for watching. I don’t have a GPX file I’m sorry. The ride was through D’Aguilar np and Bellthorpe np then leading onto Monsildale creek rd and Louisavale rd (where the crossings are). Hope this helps!
Hello, I'm writing to you from Guatemala. I just bought a motorcycle just like the one you have and I'm super happy to make those trips. Thank you for the good videos. I wanted to ask you a question. I wanted to see how the sargent armchair worked on the motorcycle. I'm in the dilemma of buying it because it's expensive. I don't know if you recommend it. Will it be worth buying?
Hey Carlos! Thanks for the message! Glad you like the videos! After having the stock seat for a while I highly recommend the Sargent seat. Can ride for quite a while without feeling like I’ve been beaten. Bit exy, but worth it in my opinion!
Was this through private property or just forestry mate? And which end of linville did you come through? I’m heading up for another ride this weekend would love to know the route!
Hey Scott. Sorry for the delayed reply mate. It was all through national parks, legal roads etc. I personally don’t know the route. My mate has all of them. I just followed! Will have to try source the GPX file off him for you and others
Just found your channel, great ride. I'm just starting out, looking for a few rides like this. Any chance you could give me some directions, or a route to follow?
My mate has most of these GPX files. Will try to eventually get them one day. This link though has heaps of rides with GPX files/videos that I'm sure will help you get started! Whoever did this put in a lot of time and effort! www.advrider.com/f/threads/gps-routes-adventure-rides-southeast-queensland-northern-nsw.894273/
Hey mate! I’m no mechanic, but in the past we have just squeezed out the air filter, empty the airbox, drain the float bowl and then tip the bike up so the water can drain out of the exhaust. I’m sure there is more you can do with spark plugs etc. Hope that helps!
@@nicoradv3923 I own a DR and unfortunately I baby her because I plucked down a handsome stack at a stealership knowing a few things about internal combustion engines and salad dressing oil/water dont mix and hydrolock is a motherfugger

I’m exhausted from watching. Great effort lads.
I have to admit I was gritting my teeth telling them to get going.
That was so entertaining. Great the way you worked together. Three riders is ideal for teamwork. 10/10
Thanks mate! 👍
This trails look amazing, you guys are so lucky :)
Amazing what the DR650 can go through. That bike is the true SHTF bike to have. Just works in all categories.
I 100 percent agree mate. You can’t fault it 👍
I just bought a new 2024 DR650 yesterday, I look forward to fixing it up for off road riding adventures. Great video, great teamwork!
You won’t be disappointed! Cheers mate. Thanks for watching 😎
Fantastic, quality footage! Thanks for taking us with you!
Thanks mate! Glad you enjoyed it 😎
i used to live in Brisbane, didn't ride back then, wish I did. This road looks like so much fun

Great video, I really enjoyed it. Those DR's were in the water that much you could call them amphibious vehicles!
They are versatile creatures!

You don't know the definition of 'adventure riding'....
It's all part of the adventure.
So this was summer - January? so many water crossings.!
Yeah mate it was in Jan.
I love a good ride, but I couldn't put my Dr thru that. Did the blue DR have any problems after ingesting all that water?
Not that I’m aware of. Got to love the DR!
