We need advice on cute sneakers with dresses because honestly we walk 20km a day in Rome and on vacation. I love dresses but sneakers are a must. Sandals and loafers don’t have the arch support for my 50 year old feet ❤

I live in the Netherlands, I walk & cycle a lot to get around. For me the best sneakers/trainers so far are Onitsuka Tigers GSM & Reebok Club C. I think they don’t look too contrasting with dresses & skirts. They’re both lace-up sneakers & come in many colours. The soles of these shoes hold up so well for nearly daily use & the inner footbed are soft enough without feeling too gooey. If you’re not into lace-up, check out slide-on model from Onitsuka Tigers (I think it’s one of the Mexico models). Skechers are great options too, but so far I only tried their running shoes!

Adidas Stan Smith, look good and are very comfortable. There are two kinds of them: natural leather and eco leather. Natural one is much more comfortable. I also wear high Converse. Low Converse can hurt your leg and high are more reliable for long distances. There is not much support though.

@@MyVesper I haven’t tried the high converse but damn low converse cut my feet. You know right when they end after walking for an hour they cut your feet and it’s awful.

Thank you, great video. I am an older (60s) traveler. What is appropriate for someone older?
If you bring linen or even silk, how exactly do you pack it?? Especially if you want to try to pack light. I wish my sister in law who worked for Chanel in Paris were still alive. She would pack and there would be no wrinkles.
I can see bringing a jacket, makes sense. Definitely a sweater too!

My husband and I wore our caps there and did not feel out of place.

I understand the majority of your wardrobe videos are targeted at women but I still appreciate the info as always. What do you normally default to wearing on most of your trips? During Summer especially it gets extremely hot out here in AZ so you could definitely pack your swimsuits if you ever decided to visit out here. I've mostly traveled to warmer places where relatives live such as Puerto Rico, Florida, California etc...but it's still important to dress well. For awhile now I've upgraded from mainly shorts and t shirts to Linen button downs,Polos, Chinos, Lightweight Wool Dress pants, and even a pair of lightweight jeans among other garments. Excellent content! Let me know if you've visited any of the states I've mentioned as well would love to know. As far as European countries go my dream destinations would have to be Italy and Spain. Maybe someday we'll see. Hope you are enjoying your weekend.

Thank you Manuel! During the summer I live in linen. I've never been to Puerto Rico, but I traveled a lot to California and Florida. Hope you will have a chance to visit Italy and Spain soon! I would add Greece to that list as well ;)

    • @Manuel421
      @Manuel421 ปีที่แล้ว

@@StayFabulousTL What do you normally pack for California and Florida? Puerto Rico is pretty humid as well plus the mosquitos out there can be vicious lol so long sleeves and pants are an excellent idea...I think wearing a t shirt and shorts was a mistake over there. Despite that though I've always enjoyed all my vacations. Nice! I'll ask again on the next video since you probably wont see this response but I enjoy wearing Linen as well. If you had the opportunity would you travel to P.R? There are many beautiful sights to check out there as well plus more beaches and resorts so you'd definitely enjoy it. Sadly not anytime soon but perhaps someday so thanks for your positive outlook:) I agree with you.

Great advice. However, I've found that heels are not good on cobbled streets, and there are often many of these in Europe. Also, unless you plan on wearing them a lot, they add unnecessary weight to your suitcases - which will be weighed (including carry-ons and personal items). Boots with a bit of heel could be a better option.

Boungiorno Bella Donna. I have a comment,: why is bad to look as a tourist in Italy? when I travel, I enjoy that everyone notice I am a Mexican tourist, In fact , I wear Mexican Tshirt and my university TShirt, obviously when I go a fancy event, I always wear according to dress code. Grazie mille Anastasia,

There's nothing wrong with it. A lot of locals prefer comfort over style. But some restaurants won't allow you to enter if you don't dress the right way

Here is a link: www.amazon.com/shop/iamtassanalaapey I decided to include 3 different steamer options. iSteam Steamer is the one that works for Europe as well, just please keep in mind that for 220v you must use a voltage converter plus a plug adapter. The other two steamers are great for traveling in the US and Canada. Hope this helps!

Uh oh, I just bought a new adidas white baseball cap for our trip to Rome, Greece and Barcelona this summer. How do men keep the sun off their face if they don’t wear a cap? I figured to not wear any USA logo wear to not stand out. But even an adidas cap isn’t good?

My son bought a Panama type straw hat when we visited Spain and he looked very cool, and it protected the nape of his neck as well as his face. You can get ones that can be rolled up so they don’t take up much space. Just an idea.

Just wear a cap with no logo..nothing that says adidas or a sports team. I just got back from Spain and I saw those guys wearing anything with insignia on it like caps or t-shirts as prime targets for pick pockets. Definitely don’t wanna stick out as a tourist.

Your nice shirt show that you love horses and horse riding.
Sometimes you should show us yourself in action, with English saddle though! 😉

Hahaha! Your observations are correct, as always. I actually stoped riding this year because my school has moved and now its a bit too far for me.

@ Jackie S, Pumas or Naturalizer shoes from Amazon are good. I bought them for my next European trip in August and have worn them running around to break them. I’m really picky with shoes cuz I have wide feet and need arch support.

As European I can say Italy can be very hot during summer, use linen dresses, linen shirts, white colour, tan sandals and straw hats. And please DON'T WEAR SPORTS CLOTHES NEVER or flip flops or belts bags...... Or the worse thing in Europe a baseball hat.... 😱😱😱😱You will be pointed as a USA tourist inmediately...!

Simply not wearing shorts would help British and American men not to look silly and stick out like tourists.
